I found "The Wild Mustard Seed" on Facebook and loved the look of her photos, so I scheduled a session. Easily enough, I spoke with the owner Vanessa through messages and she had us booked in no time. The day of the photo shoot I met Vanessa for the first time, the lady beams with positivity! She let us "be us" as she photographed my little family. There wasn't so much of this staging everyone to look perfect, and I love it!! Her photos captured my babes how they interact with each other on their own. Along with a few suggested poses that I, as "mom", really had my heart set on and Vanessa did it for me. I couldn't be more pleased! We've had 2 additional sessions with The Wild Mustard seed through the years, each time has been equally as laid back and lovely. I hope to do many more as the years pass. I do recommend reaching out to the owner with questions you may have, she is very willing to communicate with you and help you get what you're looking for.

Team DGL Photography is a husband and wife wedding/family portraits photography team…read more I hired them to do my engagement session, bridal portraits, as well as full wedding coverage. I know, I know, it's been months since, but I just finally got around adding them to yelp. Funny that I found them on a facebook ad of all places! Who knew that I would start clicking through random facebook ads...but I was desperate. I started planning this wedding with NO REFERENCES. No family lives here, so no family weddings here. Family friends had wedding but that was probably 15 years ago, plus it was an asian wedding, and I wanted to plan this american style. So, no references, and strictly google searches and cold calling. But boy, was I glad to find David and Debra! They do this job part time, so they are definitely more affordable. But, their work was equally as great as the ones that charge an arm and a leg (about 25-50% of your budget)! They were wonderful people and we were able to easily schedule each session with them. They live in spring but traveled to downtown for our engagement photo session and then to Katy for Bridals. They even came early to look around since they had never had a photoshoot in Katy. We had them for 8 hours for the wedding day. They split up to take pictures of us getting ready. They worked wonderfully with us, and due to strict guidelines from the church of only about 10-15 minutes of pictures after the wedding, they were able to pull it off! At the reception they took pictures all around, and I was able to pull them over for any additional pictures with guests that I wanted. I wished that I had requested a booth to take pictures of all guests who arrived because we didn't get a picture of some people...but that was my fault. I didn't think about it so I wasn't prepared. They even stayed beyond the 8 hours when we were trying to get everyone out of the hall so that they could take pictures of our exit. Overall they were great people to work with. I really encourage ya'll to go to their website and get in touch with them, whether it be for a wedding or for a family photo session or graduation pictures. They were just simply wonderful to work with! Also, our package included digital copies of the photos with rights to print them. I haven't printed anything yet, but ONE DAY, I will. I just haven't figured out the design of my photo album yet.... But, I send my highest recommendations for Debra and David Team DGL Photography. I was referred to Tomayia Colvin by my husband's client. I browsed her Instagram and fell in love…read morewith her ability to capture amazingly unique images. For the most part, many of them looked like they could be in magazines and not the run of the mill senior pics that I was accustomed to seeing. I knew then that we wanted her for my daughter's senior photos. The photo shoot was set for 3/14/17 in downtown Houston due to my daughter wanting a graffiti background in her pictures. Ms. Colvin was very personable and she made my daughter feel comfortable. 3/23/17- We viewed the proofs and they were no less than amazing. I ordered a package that included announcements, 11x14 standout print, hardcover album and 4 sheets of prints. I paid for the entire order the same day. 4/7/17- I received a text from Ms. Colvin stating that my order was ready. 4/9/17- My daughter and I met Ms. Colvin at nearby Starbucks to pick the order. The 4 sheets of prints were not available. The hard cover picture album had one page where the binding cut into my daughter's image so the album had to be made over. So, the only items that we received that day were the graduation announcements and the 11X14 standout picture. 4/30/17- I texted Ms. Colvin asking if the album and prints would be ready by 5/13/17. Ms. Colvin responded promptly with "Ok,got it." 5/10/17 - I texted Ms. Colvin again asking if the album and prints would be in ready in time for Kyra's graduation (5/13/17). She responded promptly with "Yes, they are here". I asked her to let me know when she would be available to meet up. (insert cricket interlude here) because I didn't receive a response from my question asking when would we be able to meet with her to get them. 5/12/17- I received a text from Ms. Colvin stating "Howdy, I've left your book and prints at the UPS store". We picked up the album and 3 of the 4 prints. Ms. Colvin included a post-it note stating that there was still 1 remaining print that she owed us. 6/15/17- I texted Ms. Colvin asking if the last print was ready. (insert cricket remix here) because no response from her at all. 6/26/17- I send another text to Ms. Colvin about this outstanding print that she owes us. She responds in text saying that she will ship to us and what is our mailing address. I respond with the address. 8/4/17 - As of this date, I still have not received this last print nor have I received any communication from Ms. Colvin. I sent her an email to express my dissatisfaction in not receiving this outstanding item. I paid her for my entire order in one transaction yet I have received most of the order in a piece meal fashion. Dragging out the delivery of a client's order is unacceptable and unprofessional especially when the client did not pay you in a piece meal fashion. 8/5/17 at 10:05AM - (insert cricket extended play version here) because still haven't heard from her. 8/9/17 - Complaint # 12317653 was filed with the Better Business Bureau of Houston since my email was unable to render a response from Ms. Colvin. Lo and behold, my BBB Complaint managed to rouse her. I received an email from Ms. Colvin on 8/9/17 titled: An Open to Letter My Clients". I assume it was meant to read: An Open Letter to My Clients. In short, she explains that she has been "going up the rough side of the mountain" due to personal family matters and apologizes for not being "joyous, efficient and on top of things". What she failed to explain was when I would actually receive this outstanding print. 8/17/17- No print received to date. 8/26/17- Received a tracking # for the print. 9/1/17- Print was delivered as well along with some extra prints. God is good and His mercy endures forever! Thank you, Ms. Colvin. In summary, I will say that she is an incredible photographer -her pics prove it. But, from a professional standpoint, Tomayia Colvin photography has some work to do. If you choose to use her, you'll absolutely love the finished product, but if my experience is any indication of what you'll encounter after you have paid for your order, you may want to get confirmation in writing when you pay as to when you will actually receive your products.

After she did such a great job with my sister's maternity shoot, I reached out to Tomayia Colvin via email to inquire about a generational family photography shoot. She responded immediately with her availability and asked if I had any personal ideas that I wanted to cover during the shoot. She also mentioned that she offered makeup services. We confirmed a date and I told her to feel free to do anything. She sent me the link to pay online (which was very easy and user-friendly) and I was confirmed. She arrived on time with props and her assistant to my grandmother's house. Much to my liking, she was able to transform the outside of my grandmother's house into a beautiful atmosphere for a photoshoot with only a chair. I mean, the large bush in the background of our pics has been there for years. Nonetheless, with the angles she chose, you would not know the shoot took place in her front yard. After about an hour (prep and shooting), we were done. She explained the selection process and turn around time in detail, then allowed us to ask any questions. We received our proofs link quickly and were able to view and pick out several poses we loved. Once finalized, we were given a confirmation that the photos were available to download. Tomayia also let us know about the latest packages she offers. We have plans to put the photos throughout each of our homes. I truly appreciate the outstanding service I received and will definitely be a customer for life.

James and his crew shot my outdoor wedding in May and did an outstanding job! The wedding day goes…read moreby so fast and with James there, capturing every moment, we are able to look back at such sweet and special moments. They were professional, friendly, punctual and very communicative throughout the whole process. We had our highlight video within two weeks and the rest of the footage shortly thereafter. The look and feel of the video is romantic and brings tears to everyone's eye that watches. I highly recommend Kandu Films for wedding photography, they blew us away and we are so glad we made the decision to go with them for our big day!

My husband and I were lucky to get Transition Films for our wedding weekend. We wanted a hype /…read moreentrance video for our reception, similar to how athletes enter a game, and the team delivered amazingly with this and our whole video from the weekend. Neither my husband, nor I, know how to pose or have ideas of what to do for videos / pictures but the team had a vision and directed us perfectly on what to do. Some things may feel awkward BUT TRUST THEM!! I can't stop rewatching our videos haha. They were so much fun to work with & vibed with our photography team as well, so it was great to see ideas bounce off each other. Hopefully can use them again for more milestones to come.

David was professional, dependable, enthusiastic and very easy to reach and share ideas. The end product was great !!! My wedding video looks like a very expensive movie !!!
