Isabelle is super fast and efficient. Her prices are very reasonable because she works fast. Nice location too.

It was the best experience I've had with a hairdresser, she was AMAZING and I would definitely recommend going to her.

I have type 4 hair and called ahead to see if they had someone experienced with my hair texture. They said yes, and reassured me a woman named Ebony could do it - she could not. For context, Ebony was white, and I had mistakenly assumed someone with a name like Ebony would be well versed in textured hair. Immediately at the sink bowl it was evident she was overwhelmed. I really new I had made a mistake when she put me in the chair to blow dry my hair, it seemed she hadn't fully detangled at the sink, and then she applied heat with a round brush instead of a vented paddle brush, I tried to convince myself to trust the process, but had to ask her to stop as my hair was rapidly drying and still had not been adequately detangled. I asked her for a paddle brush so I could detangle my hair and just leave. The manager seemed annoyed, even though despite my horror, I had manage my emotions in order not to cause a scene. The scene was caused anyway when both stylist and manager wanted to join in on my detangling - they were just ripping hair at this point and I could feel dread taking over my body at what my hair would look like afterwards.

If you need style to stay one more day, just tell her and she can do it! I'm sure everyone here is amazing too! I just get stuck with her ;) It's easy to book online appts and get confirmation right away! I think you need to keep a card on file for cancellation policies. Just found out prices are different when you book in advance and day of service. Highly recommend for any day! Bring your little for a BLO! Excellent customer service. The hair brand products is Unite. They smell delicious and have a good hold! I'm not really a fan of the dry shampoo. There's no hair volume and my hair is thick.

I rarely feel compelled to write such a detailed review, but my experience at Blo Blow Dry Bar in…read moreThe Woodlands on October 25, 2026, was extremely disappointing. I'm a returning customer who previously received a Texture Blow Out at this location. I booked my five-year-old daughter's first appointment for 9:30 AM with Precious and specifically explained that she had textured hair. I was assured that the correct service was booked. Despite that, I received a cancellation email before anyone personally contacted me. I was later told Precious needed more time because of my daughter's hair texture, something I had already disclosed. The morning appointment was intentional because we had two activities planned that afternoon: a LEGO building event and a Halloween trick-or-treating event. I reluctantly accepted a new 1:30 PM appointment because my daughter needed her hair done for picture day. Unfortunately, she missed both activities because of the change and subsequent delays. We arrived at 1:20 PM. Precious greeted us at the front desk and said, "Your stylist will be with you." Considering the appointment was booked under her name, I thought that was odd. She never explained that someone else would be providing the service. My daughter wasn't taken until approximately 1:55 PM. No one acknowledged the delay or gave us an update. When I eventually asked Ericka, the stylist who ended up doing her hair, she explained that her previous appointment had run over. I completely understand that delays happen, but communication and courtesy should be the bare minimum. What I found particularly uncomfortable was Precious approaching Ericka during my daughter's service and questioning her about running over time. The interaction felt condescending, belittling, and passive-aggressive. That conversation should have been handled privately rather than in front of clients. Checkout was another frustrating experience. Ericka initially told me the price was $89. I questioned why my five-year-old was being charged that amount, and Precious came over and changed it to $59. I explained that the advertised Blo Mini was $45, with an additional $15 for extended time if necessary. Precious stated that $59 was the price because my daughter had textured hair. When I questioned that explanation, she simply smiled and responded, "Well, that's our price." The dismissive attitude was unnecessary. If there was different pricing for textured hair, why wasn't that explained when I booked, especially considering her hair texture was the very reason they canceled the original appointment? After the interaction, I was asked whether I wanted to leave a tip. I also requested a receipt and was told it would be emailed, but received only a generic post-appointment message without a payment breakdown. I want to recognize Ericka because the actual service went smoothly once she began. My complaint is not about her work. It's about the salon's disorganization, lack of communication, inconsistent information, and Precious's unprofessional conduct. I am not seeking compensation or a refund. My disappointment is with how my daughter and I were treated and the complete lack of consideration for our time. Had my daughter not needed her hair done for picture day, I would have left. As a returning customer, I expected a significantly better experience.

I had won a certificate for this salon and boutique it was an amazing experience…read more It was a little out of my way but it was a "me" day so it didn't really bother me. Finding the location I almost missed it than goodness there was a place to turn around to go back. Be prepared to park tight because the parking is very close quarters if you drive a vehicle like mine (big). I had made an appointment over the phone which is encouraged. So checking in made it easy and the young lady was very polite. It didn't take long to get started my stylist knew I was there first for a consultation and if I liked what we talked about we would proceed or I would make an appointment for a later time. As you can see I didn't waste anytime after we chatted about what I wanted and what she could do, Gracie made my hair look amazing. I am really happy. This little place offers some perks I wish I had taken a photo of that for y'all but I forgot. If you're looking for cute earrings or a cute outfit this place has some items you can choose from. Right now they have items for Saint Patrick's Day who doesn't need shamrock earrings I made a follow up appointment before I go on my next vacation to make sure my sparkles are hidden.

My hair…read moreis NOT easy to deal with (highly-dense, 3c/4a/4b coily mix, down-to-my-butt length, tangles right after you remove the brush, etc.). I am depressed and physically disabled (and was recovering from a major surgery at the time), so I had been unable to do the usual upkeep necessary for my hair with any kind of regularity. Honestly, it was a dirty, fairly matted (to the point of looking like I had a few poorly-done locs) HOT MESS. Just THINKING about doing my own hair, and how bad it had got, had me in tears for two months. I thought she'd have to cut a lot of it off tbh. She didn't turn me away, like I half-expected. It was well-within her right to see the rat's nest on my head and just refuse service or rebook me, but she didn't. That grace is something I still appreciate to this day (I saw her pre-pandemic, so this was some time ago). Doing what she did for me was beyond the job I paid her for; I am so grateful she helped me! ** a friendly reminder to be sure to tip your stylists/hairdressers!! ** For reference: It took 3 or 4 people simultaneously flat-ironing my hair at another salon (the "Texas Hair Team" over by Spring HS) to get it done in over 4 hours. THEY also told me that I "needed to get [my] hair relaxed or don't come back." That time I had gone in for ONLY styling with CLEAN, DETANGLED hair in a few large twists. Girl, bye. Ms. Marchel did it BY HERSELF, MUCH FASTER (an hour and a half MAX for detangling, shampooing, conditioning, detangling again, drying, another quick detangle, and the silk press itself), didn't charge me extra for the texture of the hair that naturally grows out of my scalp (as so many salons around here do... iykyk ), didn't complain at all or guilt me, was professional, and did a damn good job! I was ASTONISHED by her speediness, how thorough she was, and the result!! My curls also bounced right back after wash-day! No heat damage! It's been awhile since I've seen her, but I still HIGHLY recommend her for a BEAUTIFUL silk press on natural coily hair!

First, let me start by saying I think this stylist does a decent job with basic and natural styles…read more My review is on a sew-in experience I had at this salon. My sew-in experience was tragic to put it lightly. The appointment started off well. I brought in 2 bundles of hair. The stylist said she would color it to match my hair color. She colored 1 bundle of the hair. During my appointment, one of her friends/clients came in to discuss a style she was planning to get the following week. Although this salon is marketed as a private setting, this client/friend was allowed to sit and talk during the duration of my appointment. As she was sewing the tracks, she would continue to look at her phone. I'm not sure if she was looking at directions on how to do a sew in or what. When my hair was done, I informed her that I'd like it cut to resemble my natural hair length. Once I left the salon, I saw where tracks were visible at the top (she had to see this before I left), so I went back and she attempted to fix it. Once I got home, not only could I still see tracks at the top, but thread was popping out in the back and a track that was not sewn down was also sticking out. I sent her a picture and she told me to either cut it or Bobby pin it until the next time I return to the salon. The next day (Sunday), I had to get the sew in taken out by someone else because it was falling apart. It was the worst $200 job ever. She did not even cut the tracks to fit naturally. She simply rolled them on top of each other, which made it extremely bulky and impossible to lay flat. I sent her a text that Monday informing her that I had to get the sew-in removed. She never replied. A simple acknowledgement or sorry would have sufficed. For that reason, I realized this is not the stylist for me. Although I wasted a lot of money, I simply see it as a donation to someone who needs it more that I do!
