The new management or owners have done an amazing job. The portions are huge and the quality is superb. We had the lentil soup and it was loaded with meat. My wife had the lamb and she truly enjoyed it, I had the Oxtail with rice and beans, and it was amazing, and so much. I'll be swinging by more often. Congratulations to the new cheff! And the service was outstanding!

Raw churrasco

THE ABSOLUTE WORST EXPERIENCE! I ordered the churrasco with white rice and beans and vaca frita through Postmates. When the food arrived I took one bite from the steak and realized it was RAW!! The steak wasn't even hot! I ordered the steak medium rare, but it seems as if the chefs didn't know how to properly cook a steak, or they just decided to give me the steak from the freezer. The rice and beans tasted very old and hard! Disgusting. This experience only resulted in me not trusting the food quality and restaurant ! ZERO STARS! Do not order !

Breaded Chicken Breast

I don't like writing bad reviews but unfortunately I have to for this place. I haven't had a terrible dinner in a while but this was bad. I ordered the breaded chicken with moros and plantains and every part of my meal was bad. My rice tasted old and hard. The plantains were cold not fresh at all. The breaded chicken was greasy and falling apart before I even touched it. The breading was falling off the chicken when it came. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody. Even my wife's meal was bad she had the roasted pork.

This place served a Cuban culinary foods the owner Ricardo have give us a great attention. My mom was very pleasure

Being Cuban, I always tend to be more critical of my food when dining in a Cuban restaurant. There are certain must haves and must do's when it comes to what can be considered as "good Cuban food". This place is good for a fast meal if you're on the go and just want something other than fast food. They have a fine in option and you can call it in for pick up as well. It's conveniently placed right off of the turnpike, so if you live down south you can just stop and pick it up and continue on your journey. The food is good, not great. I would consider it to be Cuban fast food. The beans aren't made from scratch, I can tell they are from a can and then just seasoned. And the food has flavor, but definitely not the most flavorful the way Cuban food should be. The service is mediocre, nothing above average or great. The establishment was clean and they had music on and several large TVs which were showing the current basketball game that evening, the food did come out in a timely manner and everything came out correct. However, this place for sandwiches is great! If you like classic Cuban sandwiches (Cuban sandwich, Miami sandwich, media noche, etc.) this is a must if you're in the area and want something along those lines. Definitely ether than a Sergio's or La carreta by far. They have their own sandwich maker which has his own stand in the center of the bar/wait staff prep area. But it gets 3 stars because I had an entree, not a sandwich. And the entree was merely average.

The food was authentic Cuban dishes . The fish soup was amazing. We could not fish the Cuban sandwich with lots of meat. Our server Angie was outstanding, they have customer service button on each table.

We stopped in for lunch on our way to the zoo. The hostess and server were very friendly and helpful. We had conch fritters, medianoche & Cuban sandwiches, arroz con pollo. It was all delicious and fast!

The flavors were really hittin--not salty but definitely not lacking in flavor and complexity. So delicious The only criticism I would have from what I ordered is that the rice was ever so slightly undercooked which made it a bit dry. Other than that, everything was great. There's not really a server--you order and they text you when it's ready. Then you come pick it up and go to your table. But the cashier lady was very nice and helped me decide what to get.

If you're looking for something unique to try at the Citadel, Manjay is worth a shot. They serve Haitian cuisine. Portions were generous and in general, the food was kind of heavy. Many of the components I believe were made to order, so there was a short wait. Here's what my wife and I ordered: Appetizer: * Caribbean Conch Fritters ($14) - Manjay pikliz, honey mustard remoulade These were big and tasty. Six pieces, like giant hush puppies with conch inside. The plate came with pikliz in the center. Pikliz is like the Haitian version of coleslaw, made with cabbage, carrots, onions, and peppers. Manjay's version was spicy and yummy. Bowls, each with 2 sides and 1 sauce: * Honey Jerk Chicken Bowl ($18) - breaded and tossed in Manjay's homemade honey jerk sauce; with red beans rice and sweet plantains and scotch bonnet mango aioli * From Haiti with Love (Griyo) ($18) - Deep-fried Kreyol-style slow-braised pork; with banan payzay and toofay Both the chicken and pork were very good and flavorful. The pork was served bone-in. The rice and beans and sweet plantains were comforting and addictive. The scotch bonnet mango aioli was spicy. Banan payzay are Haitian pressed plantains. These were savory and starchy. The toofay ("legume") was good too. It's a hearty vegetable stew, essentially Haitian ratatouille. Our cashier was Roniqua and she was nice. During our visit, I think Manjay had the longest line (a good sign). After walking around, looking at the other food court options and seeing Manjay's high rating on Yelp, we were sold on Manjay. We dined in so we got real plates and silverware. We actually took everything up to the rooftop bar and ate up there. Our trays were bussed by the staff on the roof. Along with this location at the Citadel food court in Little River (just north of Little Haiti), Manjay has a casual strip location near the Miami airport in Doral. This Citadel location is the original; it opened in February 2019. The Doral location opened in 2024.

This was a real test of Naomi's Garden's ability to handle pressure and a big group, and they passed with flying colors. I asked about a menu and was directed online to search "Naomi Miami," but when I asked for the grouper fillet on the menu online I was told they didn't have it. I got the tofu with rice and the spinach stew, and my boyfriend got the chicken with yellow cornmeal. We haven't had Haitian food, but we both enjoyed our entrees. The portion sizes were large and I think most people could eat this for two meals.

We came in on a Monday around 6pm and ordered off the happy hour menu. The brussel sprouts were out of this world good! The sauce they put on it is sweet and lightly spicy, and the little bits of bacon were a happy, salty surprise. The beef and chicken empanadas were also delicious. The chicken had tons of cheese, but the beef was my favorite, it was so flavorful! We ordered the pistachio cake with white chocolate ice cream, and raspberry sauce. It was so refreshing and a perfect pairing of flavors. I wish there was a little more cake, but I'm not complaining. I will absolutely be back. And next time, I gotta try their cocktails.
