Took my son today to his pediatrician Dr Alou, because i think that hes been getting sick like so…read moremuch so often nothing serious yes, but always so congested with runny nose, cough like cold symtoms or allergies. I always treat him at home but today I said maybe I need to take him because maybe there is somehting else going on well long story short he was so very rude to me saying he doesnt seen nothing wrong with him since nothing else hurts. That if I was really worry about him I would have taking him to the ER. All i wanted was to make sure there wasnt something else more serious with him but I guess that was wrong of me. Horrible service from Dr Alou. He has been my sons pediatrican since he was born 11 years agobut today was the last time we saw him. We wont be returning ever again. I dont need your nasty attitude.

For years we have taken our children here and have always had a really good experience (Drs. Amon,…read moreCrawford, and Sison). Recently did a wellness visit for one of our kids with a newer physician and had asked about an allergy referral. Instead of a referral the newer physician took it upon himself to counsel/give advice for an already diagnosed allergy condition (which by itself is fine if that was it). Later they add that on as an added service charging our insurance $300 - which our insurance negotiated it down to a 1/3 of that cost that we would owe out of pocket. On our end all we saw was an extra charge but no explanation of what it was for. After many phone calls back and forth with YRMC and YRMC Pediatrics it was explained that the provider (i.e. the physician) felt it was a separate service and added in a note that we had brought in a kid with a cough (which we hadn't). If a patient has questions and the physician feels it is a separate service they need to be upfront that they intend to add a separate fee. What else is a wellness check for then to discuss wellness. This is pretty unprofessional in my opinion as a business practice. They also explained that this was out fault for not asking if they were going to charge a separate fee. They were not willing to budge on the service charge. It was offered we could have requested an extension of the due day of the payment. How kind. Based on this very shady business practice we will not be taking out kids here again, unfortunately.

I had an appointment scheduled with an ENT the following Monday (I went in on a Thursday), but needed immediate relief in order to make it through the fundraiser. I was blown away by the knowledge & caring nature of the doctor, Kathy Wyer, that helped me. She was more knowledgeable about what I would be facing when I saw the ENT than my primary physician had been after i'd seen him for the past 6 months for the ear pain. She prescribed me a few different medications & explained them in full detail. She made it possible for me to make it through the next couple of days to complete my fundraiser. The care that I received was no where close to what I was expecting - the staff and knowledge of the doctor went WAY above my expectations! I highly recommend going to this facility for urgent care needs. They will take excellent care of you & you'll walk out fully knowing that what they've done will help you.
