She then changed her mind and said the manager said they couldn't even try. Since her story changed, i asked to see the notice and she refused. I then asked for the managers name and number and she also refused. I said i wouldn't leave until i got the name and she called the police. I would have left but the whole time i was there she kept sending customers away and was being racist toward a non English speaking customer, so i really wanted the managers name. When the cops came, she still refused to help and she tried to press charges for me recording her but they refused. Her name was Christina and she seems to come up on bad reviews for this place repeatedly and with reason

We noticed that there was only one teller working the window and another lady doing miscellaneous work in the back. We waited about 20min before we were attended. We gave the information for the city sticker we were purchasing and when counting the cash before giving it to the teller, the teller said "Hurry up" and I said excuse me? She then doubled down on it and started ranting about how she wants to go home and I don't hurry up and that she's been working since morning and she's trying to get everyone before closing...etc. I told the lady she is no one to be talking to me in that manner let alone because she is "upset". I asked her for her name and she refused and then told me to shut up. I literally lost my cool and went off on the lady before my wife told me to step out. After my wife left she said the lady was trying to be all nice to her trying to fall back due to the circumstance. The description of the lady is: Older (55-60), polish, heavy set, short hair (reddish). Reason for this long review is because this lady was so comfortable coming at me that way I'm sure this has been a normal occurrence. And PS. They weren't letting anyone in by 8:40pm although they technically close at 9pm.

So.. after a recuperative, lazy, funday Sunday I chose to hit Currency exchange. Thank goodness for 24 hour locations. All day other locations were full of people. I would wager that other Chicagoans also got their reminder emails late. So, I waited till the middle of the night and hit this location. It is so dirty in here. Brightly lit which is great to keep the wacky folks away. The lights are so bright you can see all the grime on the walls, the floors, the aerial splatters of grime. It's all there. Evidence of a dirty room but I digress.. It's a currency exchange and what seems to be a source of quick cash for the common citizen. Don't have a bank account? No worries, they'll cash it for you and take a nice cut in the process. Currency exchanges can also process a number of other services for people lacking the ability to stay on track/time with their payments. All for a fee of course. It is what it is. There are many services available and for a full list, it's wise to call. But, they don't often answer quickly. I was there for a city sticker and that's what I got. I didn't experience any of the crazy stuff mentioned in other reviews, though that did alarm me and was extra cautious. Luckily there was one ahead of me that took quite a while cashing a check. But when it was my turn the cashier was courteous and I walked out of there, sticker in-hand. If buying a state or city sticker, cash is king and will save you on additional fees. FYI. No free parking lot. You are limited to metered parking on all sides.

Which is standard for every currency exchange I've been in for last minute quarters. Yeah I could've gotten rolls without the 25 cent fee from my bank but I totally forgot I was out of quarters and I needed to get laundry done. And they were open on a Sunday and my bank is closed.

Even better news is that this currency exchange was close enough so I could get there on my lunch break. The woman behind the bulletproof glass was very friendly and very fast in taking care of me. It actually took me more time to drive over and back to work than it took to get the new sticker. So for me this was a five start experience: fast and friendly and no ticket. Nice thing about the location was that there was a parking lot, so I didn't have to deal with street parking, although there seemed to be plenty around.

I have gone here several times to use their services & customer service of staff ranges from poor to fair depending who is working. Today, was the final insult & I will never use this location again. Used their western union services & the woman working there was rude from the start. Instead of doing her job & providing helpful info, she made rude comments like " its very expensive" instead of just providing cost. Also asking where my mother is from. She also made a statement that I was using my mother to send money when I was helping send money for her sister's funeral. She refused to provide her name or name of her manager, so she obviously knew she was in the wrong. Is basic customer service skills & courtesy too much to ask for?
