The woman's restroom had a tiny bit of trash but nothing I wouldn't fault them for in the big picture. I never knew how important windows would be to the overall feel but they are plentiful and it is so bright. Lots of space which means more available equipment. The abs and 30 minute areas are well maintained. I've been to some locations that seem to let these areas go. The black card spa...WOW! It has low lighting and a really inviting atmosphere. All the tanning beds and stand-ups look new (I haven't used them to tell if all the bulbs are working). The location is easily accessible from any of the surrounding roads. Plenty of parking. Overall, I can't wait to get back to the gym, especially at this good looking Planet Fitness.

I got into a horrible car accident and called in to freeze the membership not even cxl. The manger refuses to talk to customers and send messages through the employees. Female stated my freeze would be handled and that was it. It is March and this club is still trying to get money from account and I have not been since Jan because I'm unable too. Talk about a weird place to work out. This combined with her signs all over the gym, not to take the towels. (Gross - like who wants to take the nasty towels that are 15 years old.). On top of that several of my friends and I discovered that she was charging a maintenance fee unbeknownst to any of the members. She had the members' credit card information, and she was going to charge it no matter what, without even telling people. And when friends of ours brought it to her attention, she got completely argumentative, even though she was completely caught in her tangled, web of lies and deceit. I would not recommend this gym to anyone relocating to Fernandina. There are many better options without all the drama.

For example, there is only one water fountain that i know of and it is not filtered or set up to refill water bottles that almost everyone who goes to a gym will have. The bathroom almost always has the trash cans over flowing with paper towels, and it is time to refresh the weight room. Machines make you work out in weird ranges of motion, and they just aren't really set up in a way that makes sense. It is nice when there is a flow to things when you are working specific muscle groups. Also now that it is summer time you can notice a major temperature and humidity difference from the main/cardio area to walking into the weight area.

Asked for a PDF of the contract and was never sent it. Still trying to figure out who I have to talk to to get the membership cancelled. And before you think I'm crazy, the owner Chad himself said "every time I hear a beep it sounds like a cash register making me money." It's sad I use to work here and the original management was great. Anytime fitness has really gone downhill, and you can go to Trust Pilot and see yourself what people like me are going through just to cancel a gym contract. Pick anywhere but here.
