My bf ordered prime rib and asked for medium but when it was delivered, the bartender said "best we can do is medium rare because it's the end of the night." Pretty bad service when you're paying $60 for a meal for two. My ravioli was mediocre at best. Ambience left something to be desired. There was a giant pile of extra chairs and random junk next to our table. I would not return and certainly not recommend it to others.

That was no problem here! We immediately got a friendly hello and were brought our beverage of choice within a few minutes! We were then given a very nice menu, easy to read with a very nice selection from typical deep fried appetizers to traditional bar food up to some nice full menu dinner choices. We ordered the recommended meal of the day and WOW did that hit the spot. The owner actually made a stop by our table to assure everything was good. Had a nice chat with him and even given a short history of the area and his establishment. I would highly recommend this place. Next time we're in the area we will stop in again!

My husband never got his and we never got the rolls that were to come with the meal. They should be embarrassed to have that kind cook and what we experienced. I called the restaurant to speak directly with the owner (never caught him/there) then got his home number and either doesn't answer or whatever. His message recorder's always full. We could have taken care of this personally, but can't when you make it impossible. We will never............................return. I have a big voice and will pass the news on. Nice enough bartender but we immediately could tell the locals get the VIP service and strangers sometimes get a smile. It happens. Their extremely limited menu really amounts to burgers or pizza. While the burger wasn't bad, they burned the pizza. Before we could say anything, another pie came out the same. Pretty well sums it up. It's a comfortable watering hole, but they have some work to do; unless of course this is the finished product, then enough said.

My sister and I stopped in for a quick lunch and ordered cheese curds, onion rings, and I got a buffalo chicken wrap. The cheese curds and onion rings were very good and tasted like they always do, nothing too special, but nonetheless good. The wrap was very interesting. To start it wasn't cut, so it was more like a burrito than a wrap. I cut it myself and there was a very large amount of buffalo sauce in the wrap, it was hard to eat without it getting everywhere. I ended up just eating the chicken in the wrap by itself. The fries were delicious and very crispy. I loved the atmosphere of the bar and the fact that it was so open. I have been coming here for years and they have always served very, very good food! I think the lack of quality food was due to how busy the bar was at the time. Rolling black leather chairs, white linen napkins and even the old silver butter melters with the candle I remember as a kid. Just a reminder, they only accept reservations so make sure you call ahead. I heard rumor that they only seat about 25-30 tables a night, so get in early! As for the prices, I'd say extremely reasonable for what you get. They had a simple but excellent salad bar, fresh dinner rolls and all the old side salads you would think comes with a supper club salad bar. No relish try needed, it's all up there along with cheddar cheese spread and liver pate. There were three of us and we all ordered the same thing. 5oz. Filet with shrimp. Dinner included soup as well. All for $36, I'd say that's kinda a steal! Steak was cooked perfect and everything tasted good. I wish I got there a little earlier to enjoy the bar. Definitely a 60's-70's era bar, but it was very clean and nostalgic. The bartender made probably the best old fashion I've had in a very long time. We rounded out dinner with a grasshopper after dinner ice cream cocktail. Perfect size for the three of us to share! This review is from fall of 2024 and the restaurant is currently up for sale. Sounds like they may keep it open if and when they sell it and I hope they do keep it open. I really wish there were more supper clubs like this one!
