Long story short, after all of the preparation for court....over a year for a case that I was told was pretty open and shut, I was told the day before that I should settle. I don't believe that the attorney prepared for the case and advised me to take a fraction of what I was owed. I did what she said because, with no time to pivot, I felt I had no choice. It was the worst example of professionalism. I paid to be demeaned and treated like my case didn't matter. In the end, I lost more than money.
