I had so many questions about iron gates when I called. The gentleman who answered was extremely knowledgeable and answered every one. I would definitely look into this company if you need iron in your life! read more

I am in the midst of selling an estate apartment and the inspector notified us that we needed to repair the barred security windows as the release hatch was not working on some of the windows. My realtor contacted Iron Custom to come out and give us an estimate. We hired them and they were punctual and performed the work. There were more windows that needed repair than we thought so Fidel and his crew needed to come out the next day as he needed more repair kits. He also noticed that one of the latches was on the wrong side of the window which would mean a window would need to be broken in order to escape a fire. He corrected that. Not only are they punctual, but they were quick to do the repairs. I recommend them for any repairs you may need. read more

Maybe they only care about contracts worth thousands of dollars. My 1 door wasn't worth their time. I texted pictures inquiring on quote and was told, "Sorry I'm taking right now I don't have time for two months and I don't have enough Personnel to help you sorry about that". Excuse their typos. I'm sure he meant to say he was "taken". I just feel like whether you are bringing $500 or $5,000 you should get the same basic customer service. Would he have had the time if my job was bigger? Probably. This is where their mindset is at when it comes to small jobs. They don't have time for small jobs. Keep searching! read more

I'm on the HOA Board of our modern condo building near West Hollywood, we wanted a metal fence addition for added security. Mike met with us twice to hear all the detailed requests we had, he suggested a nice angled design to enhance the appearance, and his quote came in slightly below a competitor. The finished product was precisely matched to the already existing gate, and the installation was seamless. He and the company are highly recommended. read more

Great service and amazing results on my window bar fire safety latch! It was an ordinary window bar and Iron Custom created the locking fire latch in less than 1 hour! I am so happy with the results. read more

Iron Custom - Metal Fabricators Near Me - Los Angeles, California

I was about to give up any hope of ever finding a skilled and reliable metal craftsman to tackle a long overdue home project. Specifically, I needed railings for a freestanding, curved, iron beam staircase and loft above my living room. Recognizing that the project presented certain challenges, I was nonetheless surprised at the difficulty I had in finding someone capable of rising to the challenge here in Los Angeles. Some of the self-styled metal specialist I contacted failed to return my calls. Others declined the project upon hearing what was needed, or quoted astronomically high prices for the project. But then I found Mike Hernandez and Iron Custom. Mike turned what had become a nightmare into a simple and pain-free experience. Not only did he manage to do the impossible, he did it ahead of schedule and on budget. In the leadup to installation, Mike patiently answered all my questions and kept me informed all throughout the process. Onsite, Mike and his team arrived when promised, and were always polite and professional. In the end, Mike designed and fabricated beautiful custom railings for my staircase and loft that are truly works of art. Solomon Mangolini, Los Angeles, CA read more

As you can see, I rarely leave reviews as well unless it is above and beyond...and Iron Custom is that! I had a job that needed same day turnaround and Mike and Mario were responsive and gave me a fair quote and got the job done to a high level of satisfaction! Try them out and give them a shot...they will not disappoint! read more

I rarely leave reviews, but Mike did a wonderful job on my railing turning it from old fashion to a modern beauty. Mike is up front and straight forward. He is reliable, which I can't say for most these days (I had 2 no shows!). If he says he's going to be there tomorrow, he will be there. His men worked professionally and safe. He helped me combine iron and wood without the exaggerated, added costs I had received in two other estimates. I've included a before and after of his work. Thank you Mike! I'd definitely use his services again. read more

Mike does an amazing job creating custom iron work for us! I originally found him from his great Yelp reviews for our palisades office staircase. He is truly my best find! He designed exactly what we wanted and we continue to use him often. My favorite job is the new iron designed for Beverly Drive! What a way to do business. This guy who is the sole owner of the scam. Asks me to send 100% of the money upfront infill attatch screenshots as well. I completely understand as a contractor asking for a deposit. But not to request a payment of 100% completely on blind faith. Then he tells me he's out of state and can't make it on my scheduled day. So you wanted to put 400 of my Money in your pocket and hope you showed up on a day your out of state. Horrible. Then he goes on about how it's a hard job and it's going to cost more money. That's BS. However I tell him charge me whatever is within reason just understand I'm not giving you 100% of the funds up front. Again a deposit yes. Come on bud. I appreciated Mike was able to work with us in between some of his jobs. He made sure to measure all areas we needed and even came out last minute to change some concepts. Mike and their work is the best I have seen. He deals mostly through phone calls and text. Pretty straightforward and doesn't have a call Center as this is his company. Overall very pleased Other iron companies are taking 4-6 weeks in LA so Mike was able to do this fast. read more

I have used Iron Custom to do quite a few different projects at different properties, over the past decade. During each project, Mike (the owner) has patiently worked with me to help create the very specific fence/gate which I had envisioned. I am a very exacting, visually mindedl person, and he has always done an excellent job of listening to what I was asking for, interpreting that, and diligently working to create a product which is as close to my vision as possible. He understands that the creative process involves some trial and error, and has always patiently conferred with me until we came up with solutions that were both practical, as well as aesthetically pleasing. I have always been happy with his work ethic, and have certainly always been extremely pleased with the final product. Finding someone with these elements is very rare, and I can't imagine working with anybody else! read more

I had my iron gate made by Mike and it looks amazing!!! Mike is very professional and extremely detailed. I wanted my personal design and he made sure I got it and was satisfied. He made sure I was happy and always kept me updated with the progress of the gate, and wouldn't proceed to the next step until I would approve the outcome. I constantly receive compliments for the quality and design of the gate. My house is finally completed with Mike's custom iron work. The company never returned my calls. They texted what services they provided, but when I left messages, I never heard back.

Called asking for an a/c cage, the guy was like "Just one? Ok, someone will call you back with this matter ok, thank you." and hung up in the middle of me talking asking if he needed my name and number. Horrible. I'll change this review if i actually get a call back. read more

Iron Custom it's a great company. Two years ago, I wanted to do a custom fence and I sat down with Fidel to talk about the design, he right away understood what I wanted. Fidel has a great personality and seams to love what he does, he makes sure that his customer is happy from beginning to the end. I was looking for someone to do custom ironwork. After calling several places, these guys were friendly and creative. They came over right away to give us an estimate and they gave us a great ideas for work we wanted. The guy showed us some pictures of previous work and quickly sketched what he would do. I checked with some of their previous customers and they gave me good reviews and apparently these guys have been around for a long time and experienced. Within a couple of days they had finished the job and installation and I was amazed by the beautiful work they had done. I never thought iron work could be considered artistic but these guys changed my outlook. Great job and nice guys. I would definitely use them for any iron work needed again. read more

I've encountered so many contractors during our house renovation and Mike is definitely one of the best. He did such an amazing job on our highly customized gate and we received lots of compliment. Mike takes pride in what he does and he is really good at it. It is a collaboration process that involves creative brainstorming and continuous revision to achieve the beautiful end product. He had me go to his shop many times to oversee the different stages of production and confirm the design and details while giving me options when we run into bottlenecks. It took us much longer than originally anticipated but it turned out to be a piece of art that is worth all those time and efforts. I cannot say enough nice things about Mike and his crew and would definitely recommend him to anybody who is looking for nice and quality iron works. read more
