With that, how can someone feel comfortable at this practice? Top to bottom, there is confusion, communication issues and hostility. And if that was the only concern, fine. Several therapists displayed unethical treatment practices. The cold approach may not be an issue for some, my experience left me wondering how their services are helpful to others. Please be selective when choosing therapists, especially when children are involved.

I was referred to this office and I contacted them seeking services and…read morethey lady that answered phone was rude, condescending, and more focused on verifying insurance benefits than assisting a new patient. Even after indicating I would pay cash if necessary, she was laser focused on my insurance coverage. I provided her with my Benefit plan and she proceeded to ask a bunch of irrelevant questions that I didn't know the answer to, when just calling my insurance carrier would have provider her with the questions she needed answered. I guess this is the issue with the healthcare system in general, but it would be nice if healthcare providers would be concerned about patient care. I won't be seeking their services. I will seek service somewhere else.

What I've always appreciated about Lauren is her ability to really listen. That level of care and intention is exactly what makes CARE Counseling such a powerful, healing place. Whether it's personal struggles, deep trauma work, or just needing someone to help navigate life, Lauren and her team offer support that is compassionate, insightful, and rooted in evidence-based care. Only to find they had already charged me once for it! Okay, so it's a mistake or a miscommunication. It happens. But then I called their billing department, and I called them again. And then I called them again.... each time leaving messages and nobody ever gets back to me. On their phone message they say you won't get a response for 3-5 days. But emailing them is quicker. So, I email them. And I wait and I wait and I wait through the weekend. No word from anyone. Finally I call the regular receptionist to ask what the deal is. Do these people not work every day? They can't! Nobody ever answers their phone or their emails! In one week they charged me $400 and I cannot even get an answer from them. So she says she will email the director of the billing department. So far, no word from this mysterious "director of billing" who is most likely just a legend and doesn't really exist. If he/she does, they certainly don't give a damn about people's billing issues. I am going to my last appointment with my therapist tomorrow and I think I am going to be in the market for a different service that puts the patient first and treats people like patients instead of revenue streams to be ignored. This is a shame. I was happy with the place until then. Now I know I was nothing to them but an orange to squeeze money out of.

Diane is very focused and gives exercises and reading material that apply to your situation so you can actually do more than just ponder the problem. If you want someone who will take your money for years, talk in circles until you get so confused you think your problem is hopeless, and hold your hand while you take a righteous stance, she's not your therapist. If you want someone who can quickly assess your situation, guide each family member to see the situation from other's perspectives and give each the tools necessary to move towards a healthy resolution ..... she is your therapist.

Honestly, I was extremely resistant - I didn't want to see a therapist, I didn't want to talk through issues, and I really didn't think CBT would help at all with my sleeping problems. I finally gave in, agreeing to "time box" the sessions to 10 weeks, just to give it a shot and see if it would help. After my first session with Amy, my wife and I both noticed improvements in my ability to fall asleep, my quality of sleep, and my overall mood and energy because of my sleep, within just a couple of days. Fast forward several months later, including multiple weeks of seeing Amy more than once a week. The 10 week "time box" is obviously well past, and I've begun to allow Amy and her expertise into more of my life and to help me deal with even more issues in my life, from being a better husband, father, employee, and just a better person in general. To be completely honest, I really wanted to not like seeing a therapist, and frankly, not like Amy. But now, I can't imagine my life without seeing Amy and having her help me through things, give me my homework, and help me to learn that I can work through mental hurdles with various strategies she's taught me. Amy has always been available - she's very prompt to return phone calls and even text messages when I have needed her, has been very flexible to work around my schedule, and genuinely cares about me and my family. If you're looking for a great therapist and someone who will care about you, get to know you, and take time for you, I highly recommend Amy. She's helped more than my sleep, she's changed my life and sticking with her past 10 weeks has been the best decision I've made in a long time.

Forgot all about the first session, called her out during second session and immediately started to apologize and blamed it on her age. She did not even reviewed her notes from first session. Did a review and stated my concerns and the billing reviews, just to get a general response but to their credit they said they would waive the charges. Yet I was charged because the manager "forgot" to tell the billing department. So I was credited for tow session and a missed one that was never scheduled. Today they billed my credit card again... no call no explanation. They make you give them your CC and they just bill you. I'm not saying all therapist are bad what I am saying is watch what you give them. Why do they force you to pay up front and give a CC. Stay away is what I would recommend... many places that do better and treat you better. BTW my anger has subsided due to me going to Mass and reading the bible. Kind regards Me
