I guess this is the issue with the healthcare system in general, but it would be nice if healthcare providers would be concerned about patient care. I won't be seeking their services. Only to find they had already charged me once for it! Okay, so it's a mistake or a miscommunication. It happens. But then I called their billing department, and I called them again. And then I called them again.... each time leaving messages and nobody ever gets back to me. On their phone message they say you won't get a response for 3-5 days. But emailing them is quicker. So, I email them. And I wait and I wait and I wait through the weekend. No word from anyone. Finally I call the regular receptionist to ask what the deal is. Do these people not work every day? They can't! Nobody ever answers their phone or their emails! In one week they charged me $400 and I cannot even get an answer from them. So she says she will email the director of the billing department. So far, no word from this mysterious "director of billing" who is most likely just a legend and doesn't really exist. If he/she does, they certainly don't give a damn about people's billing issues. I am going to my last appointment with my therapist tomorrow and I think I am going to be in the market for a different service that puts the patient first and treats people like patients instead of revenue streams to be ignored. This is a shame. I was happy with the place until then. Now I know I was nothing to them but an orange to squeeze money out of.

It was exactly what we needed to work through several family dynamics that were causing an impasse and creating all kinds of negative outcomes for our family. If you want someone who will take your money for years, talk in circles until you get so confused you think your problem is hopeless, and hold your hand while you take a righteous stance, she's not your therapist. If you want someone who can quickly assess your situation, guide each family member to see the situation from other's perspectives and give each the tools necessary to move towards a healthy resolution ..... she is your therapist.

I started seeing Amy at the suggestion of my psychiatrist in order to help with some sleeping…read moreissues through cognitive behavioral therapy. Honestly, I was extremely resistant - I didn't want to see a therapist, I didn't want to talk through issues, and I really didn't think CBT would help at all with my sleeping problems. I finally gave in, agreeing to "time box" the sessions to 10 weeks, just to give it a shot and see if it would help. After my first session with Amy, my wife and I both noticed improvements in my ability to fall asleep, my quality of sleep, and my overall mood and energy because of my sleep, within just a couple of days. Fast forward several months later, including multiple weeks of seeing Amy more than once a week. The 10 week "time box" is obviously well past, and I've begun to allow Amy and her expertise into more of my life and to help me deal with even more issues in my life, from being a better husband, father, employee, and just a better person in general. To be completely honest, I really wanted to not like seeing a therapist, and frankly, not like Amy. But now, I can't imagine my life without seeing Amy and having her help me through things, give me my homework, and help me to learn that I can work through mental hurdles with various strategies she's taught me. Amy has always been available - she's very prompt to return phone calls and even text messages when I have needed her, has been very flexible to work around my schedule, and genuinely cares about me and my family. This is very personal but it must be said: I went for some…read moregrieving counseling as I lost my brother at an early age of (64) had some anger and needed to deal with... first and foremost the therapist they recommended is 70 yrs and her memory is not sharp. Forgot all about the first session, called her out during second session and immediately started to apologize and blamed it on her age. She did not even reviewed her notes from first session. Did a review and stated my concerns and the billing reviews, just to get a general response but to their credit they said they would waive the charges. Yet I was charged because the manager "forgot" to tell the billing department. So I was credited for tow session and a missed one that was never scheduled. Today they billed my credit card again... no call no explanation. They make you give them your CC and they just bill you. I'm not saying all therapist are bad what I am saying is watch what you give them. Why do they force you to pay up front and give a CC. Stay away is what I would recommend... many places that do better and treat you better. BTW my anger has subsided due to me going to Mass and reading the bible. Kind regards Me
