Our room had a good sized balcony with table and chair and absolutely breathtaking views of the mountains. The location is excellent, just a few minutes walk to the train station as well as the gondola to ride up the mountain. Also close to shopping at three coop store. Breakfast was included and was excellent. Coffee and tea available 24/7 in the lobby. Staff super helpful. Would definitely stay again!

Loved our stay at this property in Lauterbrunnen. Not sure how/why, but we ended up with the 007…read more(James Bond) suite. Smelled faintly of cigarette smoke (rooms are non-smoking, but they allow smoking on the balconies), but I just kept the window open and that helped. The room was clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the falls. Usually we don't like to eat at the hotels where we stay (unless we have to), but the restaurant here was top notch. Liked it so much we ate there 2 of the three nights we were in town. I had the deer both nights, absolutely scrumptious). Their pizzas seem popular, though we did not have one. Super conveniently located across the street from the train station and next to the cable car up to Murren and next to the Coop Grocery (easy to pick up snacks or a bottle of wine). Not for the faint of heart, though. Dragging our bags up the hill to the property was a job - thankfully we were up to it, but if you're booking keep your fitness level in mind (or maybe the hotel offers some sort of help? I didn't ask.) I would definitely recommend staying here. If ever back in Lauterbrunnen, I would stay again.

We were able to take advantage of their spa area, pool and jacuzzi for 3 hours for 50chf. Best personal investment after days of hiking. The service at the front desk and the front office manager was noteworthy because they truly tried to accommodate and communicate with us to help us achieve our mission to relax. Thank you so much for offering so much to the community, especially guests who aren't staying in your hotel. You've made me consider staying in your hotel next time we visit. Thank you!

They took us on a tour of the hotel which has a spa and a heated indoor swimming pool along with rooms that give you views of the Matterhorn. They had an exceptional breakfast in the morning that had all the meats, fruits, croissants and soft boiled eggs (only to mention a few things). The front desk staff was very helpful anytime we needed help. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning ladies came in the morning and at night to make sure everything was perfect. There was a long balcony on each room and we had a perfect view. Their dining hall is gorgeous. I can't even say enough good things about this place. I love it so much and if you go here I guarantee you you want to stay at this hotel. It is pricey. So get ready to spend some money but is a perfect place to stay. It's also romantic:) I was very impressed with this hotel and it is my favorite hotel in Switzerland)we stayed at 3 to 4 and this was definitely my favorite)! I would even venture to say this is one of my favorite hotels of all time! The town itself is quiet but the hotel is a little secluded but in great walking distance to a lot of places. They will also drop you off to the train station. Easy access by bus and across from a grocery store! Train station is about a 5-6 walk.

Also, the people at the front desk and at the restaurant seemed to be very kind and accommodating. We wanted to love it so much!! That being said, we were incredibly disappointed by the hotel itself. It's VERY old and dingy, with major scuff marks on the wall. There seemed to also be some major stains in the room, which was concerning to say the least. We felt icky and unclean after staying here. Hotel didn't smell too good and there was a big plastic cactus in the main hall. The decorating is absolutely horrendous. Extremely old flower print comforters and curtains. Spider webs and peeling paint on the balcony. Pool is gross. The hotel is creepy and dingy and needs to be fixed up. Super disappointing for what is supposed to be a luxurious hotel. The people who worked at the restaurant were very nice, but food was pretty terrible. Dinner/ lunch food was alarmingly odd and tasted extremely funky. We had upset stomachs for the next few days. Breakfast was also underwhelming and stale, though perhaps less provocatively disgusting. To whoever owns this hotel: PLEASE fix it up - it could be beautiful!! Unfortunately, its just gross right now.

The rooms looking on to the lake provide some of the best views in Bellagio, going in late March we missed the crowds. The team were more than happy to help and the shuttle in to Bellagio was a handy bonus. While the crowds are squeezing themselves through the narrow alleys in Bellagio and stay in the many typical Italian hotels, the Borgo is the perfect hideaway. From the rooms, patios, balconies and pool area you are overlooking Lake Como with Cadennabia, Menaggio, and Varenna in the far and Bellagio with its Villa Melzi below. The view is stunning and priceless! + Rooms The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated in a sleek, contemporary but cozy design that is implemented throughout the whole hotel. The bathrooms are equipped with a walk-in shower including an overhead rain showerhead, which wants to make you shower forever. Some rooms come with a small kitchenette where you either can prepare a warm dinner or take advantage of the equipment to enjoy fresh cut meat and cheese from a 'salumeria' in the evening. The only thing that bothered me was the preset room temperature. We had some cold and rainy nights and the preset 20 degrees Celsius (68 Fahrenheit) let me shiver. The preset temperature was explained by the lake region's environmental requirements. However, what happens in winter? + Service I don't get the complaints of other travelers about the staff. We met super friendly, obliging employees that always took the time for a chat and made the farewell even harder. But as they say: We reap what we sow - and some guests were quite unfriendly! Some staff speaks English, German, and French besides Italian. + Others The complimentary shuttle to Bellagio is super convenient in particular because the road from/to Como can be a nightmare if you are not used to 'one-lane' travel in both directions or Italian driving habits in general. Moreover there is a nice off-the-beaten-path hike from the hotel over Villa Melzi to Bellagio I highly can recommend. Just make sure you wear sturdy shoes since the decline over the mossy cobblestone steps can be tricky! The breakfast is outstanding! Originally we planned to have breakfast once but were caught after the first morning! From pastries, over fruit salad, eggs (boiled, scrambled, and omelets), yoghurt, bread and rolls, jam, cream cheese, regular cheese, cut meat etc. you are spoiled with choice. Plus the fresh brewed coffee specialties are addicting. In summary the EUR 10 per person are well spent! FYI - the American 'Café Latte' is called 'Latte Macchiato' in Italy (a fellow traveler was devastated when she ordered café latte and received coffee with a separate can of milk...) Overall the Borgo Le Terrazze is the place to be at Lake Como and I will never stay somewhere else again in this region! +outstanding contemporary location, + stunning views over Lake Como, + wonderful service + superb breakfast Average rate: EUR 145-180 per night. Breakfast; EUR 10 Parking: complimentary Bellagio Shuttle: complimentary Credit cards accepted.
