Have dropped by inwood Gardens in Covington several times and they seem to have an excellent selection of trees, azaleas, camellias, ornamental grasses, etc. However, it's usually very difficult to find someone to help or advise you. My wife and I wandered both inside and out today for over twenty minutes and never found a soul. read more

Excellent plant selections and very healthy plants. Very clean and sidewalks to walk to see all plants. Good customer service they may be short on staff but who isn't these days. Each time I passed a staff member they ask if they could help. Not sure why the negative reviews but it's 100+ heat index I would be wearing shorts and getting wet when possible. I just had a great experience. The plants I bought are beautiful and the ladies were very helpful.

We had many plants to purchase for our neighborhood entry garden. Another board member and I went to Inwood first. Amazingly, we found every plant we needed woth the exception of one azalea. In way less than an hour, we had every plant loaded into the car! Lots of help from workers, both for the areas where the desired plants were (Inwood is a huge garden center), as well as pulling out plants for us to come back for another bunch to load into the car. There was also help in loading up. Checkout was a breeze, again with very excellent help. oh, and all of the plants were in great shape! The box store plants can't compete. read more

These guys do a great job. I've been buying trees and landscaping plants from them for five years. I always get great service and they are very knowledgeable. They will even hold trees for you to be picked up at a later date. read more

A number of negative reviews but I guess it depends on your expectations. When I go to a nursery I like the opportunity to explore without being followed around by staff. Inwood offers that opportunity. When we have needed help the staff has been very responsive and, unlike many other local nurseries, knowledgeable. These people know plants and what will grow in your particular location. Norman, the owner, has a dry humor but extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I have spent thousands of dollars at Inwood and have had great success with their plants. read more

I'm sure this place loses out on a lot of money due to their lack of helping, or even acknowledging, customers. The workers just pass you right by like you're not there. I planned on making a pretty big purchase on some trees but I refuse to have to approach and ask for help when looking around for 10 minutes and being ignored. I'll gladly go elsewhere and spend my money on a company who appreciates business. read more

We bought 2 lemon trees here in the fall and we were told it was the right season to plant them. In fact they were just coming in so if it was the wrong time of year why were they ordering them?? We staked them, watered them, did everything right. They died. We called just now and we were told by a male (maybe the owner) that if they live "is an act of God and no we don't warranty them". So don't ever buy anything from them. We wasted $100. Go to Lowe's or Home Depot where they warranty their plants and ha e a great selection. We will never go here again and tell everyone in Covington not to go there. What a terrible way to run a business. And how sarcastic and unnecessary. Wow. Get in another business. If you need help, don't come here. After finding the plants I was interested in getting, half didn't have a price on them. I was going to have to find someone to get a price. By that time and with the heat, I decided it wasn't worth it. I get more assistance from the big box stores. read more

I agree with the other post. I just went there recently. I must have walked around for a half hour. The first 15 minutes I noticed the only person there was on the telephone on a personal call, and it was obvious she didn't want to be disturbed. The last part of my visit there reminded me of that game musical chairs because every time I thought I was approaching the girl working there I'd see her on the other side of the building!! There were no other customers at the shop, BTW. Regarding the merchandise, the plant selection was slim at best and the hardscape items were very nice but a bit pricey. read more

Very helpful Staff. Prices very competitive. Good products. Bought same type plants from Here and Banting within 1 day. Within 2 weeks, 7 out of 8 from Banting are dead, all 15 from Inwood alive. All were in same area, handled same way, watered same. read more

This is a really good nursery. They have a full selection of the standard material--trees and shrubs--at good prices. And they always have something extra that you can't resist. One time I ran across some amazing sansevieria, another time it was the succulents that grabbed me. Always check out the greenhouse in the back, they have great stuff in there. Go a couple times a year--you never know what you're going to find. read more

Owner is an as*h***. I have purchased over 1k from himover the last two, alot for me years and he has never been very polite. Today we show up to pick up 400 dollars worth of plants, we shoe up at 8am with my landscaper and the gate say hours 8am to 4 pm for saturdays. He rolls up and 8:45 am. We go in in say good morning and he ignores me and keeps walking. After witch we wait 15 minutes to be asked if they could help us. We pick up the plants and ask I think the owners name is norman, politely what time does the garden open because we came at 8am like the lady said yesterday. He states and I qoute I am the owner so if I want to sleep in then I sleep in if I want to come in early then I come in. Really why show hours of operations. Well never again there to many nice people around waste it on that rude sad excuse of a person and business. By the way I stopped by pretty trees just down the road. So many more trees so much bigger and nicer and oh yeah half the cost. Plus nice peole. read more
