It reminds me of a "Home Depot" or another huge big-box store in America. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it's somewhat overwhelming here in Amsterdam. It's like getting a bushel or huge Blue Crabs but when breaking them open, not a lot of meat inside. Although a lot of inventory, it's not cheap but if you're shopping here, price is not your concern. Most of the plants outside don't have prices in front of you. "If you have to ask, you can't afford it", comes to mind. But I had to twirl the plant around to find the price tag on the base. I'm sure things are different these days thanks to Covid. They used to have a cafe and I'm sure tons more inventory....so I look forward to a few years from now when things hopefully return to normal and I can see this place in its full glory. read more

This place is lovely! There's a huge variety of whatever your plant needs may be, from actual plants, to pots, good soils, any sort of tools, and all the extra accessories you might need. Prices are really good, and it hard not to end up buying more plants than intended! read more

This nursery is the best place to buy beautiful and healthy plants. They specialize in indoor and outdoor plants; plenty of outdoor accessories and landscape design on a basic level. We buy all our herbs and big plants here. Being new to gardening, I would have never learned about this plant shop if it was not for my Dutch man. This Garden shop is the best place to go for green and patio decor, it's sure to impress your friends with envy. Our friends are slowly falling more in love with our terrace. Our goal was to revitalize the terrace and create a Mediterranean oasis that made life stand still for a moment. I thought it would be a great idea to incorporate a Mediterranean style in the garden, since Holland's climate is far from it. "Your mind is still on vacation but your body is back at home." Yes, it's still a work in process but I believe we will get there by next spring. Being the California girl that I am, I wanted to bring a warm climate vibe to our garden. read more

Sadly, I had purchased 3 shrubs from them for a shop that I have. I went in person to purchase the shrubs (I was told they were hearty and were good for outside and with a lack of sunshine) and later when I was having problems with one of the 3, I went to the shop for advice (which no one really wanted to give advice). I was told to go to customer service which told me to email the store (website) for advice which I did...twice. Never an answer. Then the 2nd plant died. So much for customer service. read more

This is basically a gardener's paradise. It is also a balcony-gardener's heaven. Having planted a few seeds in planters that were passed along over time, we needed to fill in some gaps and get some additional planet boxes for the balcony as well as some veggies and flowers. They really have everything you need. Maybe too much of what you need! We ended up with planters, strawberry plant, flowers, flower pots, and more seeds. The layout of the store is nice, not too overwhelming although it is huge. You can walk there in about 10 minutes from Amstelstation, which we did since we knew we wouldn't be able to carry everything back on a bike. Come prepared to look at a lot of flowers and make decisions...they have a ton! I *think* that the prices are better than your local flower/garden shop in your neighborhood. If anything, the vast choice and quantity is why you'd want to go there. Also, I needed to find Nasturtium seeds and couldn't find them anywhere....Intratuin had them, and two choices! So really, any strange or weird garden need you have, they can probably meet it. Now, who do we contact to get some more sun in this country? read more

When here on a beautiful Sunday afternoon to pick up some plants for spring time. Then walked quickly through the rest of the store so I wasn't to tempted to get anything else. It was a fun store to shop at and had just about anything you could want. It's nice that there is such a big shop so close to Amsterdam's Central. read more

I normally hate overwhelming place like ikea or intratuin. a big but here. yes but, they have everything I need! and at good prices. people were nice and helpful with my awkward questions. I am a garden beginner. I enjoyed walking through the flowers and plants. They also have a nice selection for pets food, toys, beds, etc. Plus kitchen accessories, bbq and decor things. I did not expect that in a garden store. I am home happy with my soil and etcetera! read more
