I left halfway through my stay, and I wouldn't recommend this place to a roach. To give you all some perspective, I'm generally pretty tolerant and patient with frustations as I understand that we are all people, and the review's on this place are the first negative reviews I have ever submitted.
Here's the complaint I submitted:
I had a deeply unsatisfying stay at this property and I would like you to take some action. First upon arrival, whoever helped me in the office was not wearing a mask and there was obviously some confusion about finding rooms for customers who had previous reservations. As a result of that confusion I was put in room 121, which was still under renovation. At first I noticed obvious minor problems like not having a shower curtain or toilet paper and the floor being covered in styrofoam. I was patient with that and waited for staff to help me fix it so that they could get organized amongst the confusion they were experiencing. I unloaded my belongings from my card and stored them in my room, including an expensive lap top and several thousand dollars worth of medications. When I returned I found the door to my room propped open with my suitcase and nobody insight. Nobody every came back that evening to finish what they started, and my door would have remained open with my belongings unattended had I not returned an hour or two after trusting your staff. The next morning a member of your staff showed up with a broom to sweep the styrofoam off the floor. Your staff also brought me some bleach when I asked so that I could clean the black mold out of the freezer and Ice cube trays. I did volunteer to do it, and I probably should have left the property at this point, but for reasons that escape me I chose to stay. Over the next few days I started noticing things like leaky plumbing in the bathroom, and while the kitchenette was obviously in need of it's unfinished renovations, it was disturbing to have the microwave spark and smoke when I turned it on. I unplugged it to avoid starting a fire. There was also trouble with the mag-strip reader for the lock on the door. when I first arrived it seemed to disable both of my key cards, and your office staff replaced them for me after warning me that there is normally a charge for that service. On the morning of January 17, I stepped outside my door and it closed behind me. I tried to use my key card to get back in and the light flashed red. fortunately I had my car keys with me so I went to get the extra key card that I had safely stashed there. I put in in the reader and I saw another red light (I have helped install those readers for various security applications and I'm familiar with their workings. I believe the lock on that door should be replaced.). I had already started cooking breakfast on the one working burner in the beat up kitchenette, so I thought I should promptly get some help to avoid leaving it unattended as fires can endanger the guests and I also did not want the sprinkler system to damage my belongings, assuming the sprinkler system was functional, which seemed generous at that point. I went to the office for help but nobody was there, and the only way to contact your staff was by phone. there were no other obvious instructions to get help, and my phone was locked in the room along with everything else. I tried asking other guests for help, but did not get any. Normally I would be frustrated by suddenly loosing access to my apartment, and I would patiently go door to door trying to find some staff to help me until I discovered where on site they could be found if they were there at all, but having an unattended burner made the situation more imminent so I decided to break the window to gain entry to the room. Luckily there was no fire, but I was understandably quite frustrated at this. A member of your staff showed up at this point and asked what happened. I explained and he immediately told me I would have to pay for it. I admit that I did cuss him out at that point, and he was right to scold me for doing that. I do apologize. However, I am extremely upset with the accommodations I received and I would like a refund for my stay. I believe I paid for the stay up until jan 23.
