I wanted to leave a review for Sound Feet Shoes after this being my third experience buying there…read more Once was a pair for my mom. The associate was nice and helped my mom out with using the machine that helps with insoles. We purchased the shoes and insoles that day. The second time I went in knowing exactly what color/size Birkenstocks I wanted. The associate grabbed them and checked me out right away, and informed me I had $15 off which I didn't know I had. This 3rd time I went in and bought a pair as a gift. The receiver didn't love the color and I was able to return them with the shoes and the receipt. No hassle or anything. They were very friendly about trying to pick a different shoe. Only bummer is that they can't order colors they don't carry (ie saw a color on the Brooks website but they don't carry it and can't order it). It's nice to have a place where you can get a pair of shoes that are an investment and know that you're going to be helped to find the best shoes for you. Highly recommend.

They were not busy but having conversations among themselves. One of the clerks looked my way and turned their head. I have purchased several pair from them everything from HOKA's to Vionic but never again. I guess they did not think I could afford them...their loss.

Best shoe shopping experience EVER!…read more Happily welcomed as soon as I entered the building. Kathryn helped me right away and gave me an overview of the process. I honestly didn't know what I was in for before visiting the store. All I know is I received a number of recommendations to come here for my running needs. I'm a 18-month postpartum momma wanting to get back into running, so I know I needed something more than the average shoe. Kathryn was super knowledgeable, patient, and helpful. They didn't have my exact shoe size for the shoe I wanted in stock so she ordered it online and it will be here on Monday. While this is online with their procedure, I can't express how grateful I was for such an awesome customer service experience. Typically, shoe places will try to upsell you and get what they can out of you, but I never felt that way at Fleet. Also, the store is very clean, bright, and full of color-----adds to the welcoming aspect. Thank you, K! Can't wait for my shoes to come in.

Was fairly busy but the staff was very nice and helped us as quickly as possible. Justin was fantastic! They scan your feet and watch your walking pattern and then show you stats about your feet: size, arch, width, pressure points, etc. which was interesting and helpful. Shoes range from $140 - $200+ with brands such as Nike, Hoka, Brooks, Saucony. Not a HUGE selection of shoes but still several. Shoe inserts were about $50 (and are good for 2 shoe "cycles") and they give you socks to try on which you can buy (a hefty $18 for one pair) but don't have to. Overall a great experience.

It's honestly hard to find anything good here, the style of clothing they pick is trashy. I have found some good items however, but I guess it's hard to be a female who wants to wear something that has more coverage than strings and bras. They are also always playing the most annoying music here and the staff are extremely rude. I love thrifting, and this is one of the only thrift stores in town so I go often, but always have to make sure I'm in the right mood to deal with the judgmental, rude, and annoying employees behind the counter. My friends and I have a running joke about how rude they are. It never surprises us anymore.

I had an extremely disappointing and unprofessional experience last night at Plato's Closet in…read moreGreenville, NC. I brought in freshly washed, neatly folded clothes, organized in a clean laundry basket and sorted into categories like dresses, athletic wear, going-out tops, swimsuits, and more. These weren't just random pieces; they included high-quality brands like Lululemon, Gymshark, Vineyard Vines, Patagonia, Nike, Under Armour, Southern Tide, and others. From the moment I arrived, the experience was unpleasant. The employee at the counter was unfriendly, didn't offer to help me get my items inside, I was just thinking at least hold the door open as I struggled with my basket. I received a text almost immediately after dropping my items off saying they had been "processed" and were ready for pickup, which didn't make sense considering the number of pieces I brought. When I went to the counter, I was told they hadn't even gone through my clothes because they "had an odor." This was shocking to me because everything had been freshly washed. I pride myself on being extremely clean, organized, and meticulous--honestly, I'm a very type A person. Many of the items I brought in were either brand new with tags or had never been worn. I feel that she was just too lazy to go through the items as she had more to go through. I calmly explained this to the employee, Olivia, but she was dismissive and rude as she told me that maybe my items being in the car or my house was the reason it smelled like "old food". Again, I have one of the cleanest rooms and cars you might ever see (thanks to be being so type A). She told me I should "maybe wash them again," which felt insulting. She handed me my clothes back, one pile being in disarray, undoing the hour of sorting and folding I had put into them (that I took the time to do to make it easier and more organized for the employe) To make matters worse, the store itself consistently smells unpleasant when you walk in, yet they claimed my clean clothes were the problem. And for a store that buys clothing at extremely low prices and resells them for two to three times more, you would think they would treat their customers with basic respect, or maybe not be so picky. I have shopped at this location many times, spending a VERY good amount of money here, but this experience was unacceptable. The unprofessionalism, the disrespectful tone, and the stereotyping I felt in that interaction have completely changed my opinion of this store. I left feeling disrespected, frustrated, and shocked that a company would treat a customer in this way. Plato's Closet may claim to value customers and quality items, but my experience proved otherwise.
