Since posting this review Dr. Jessica has contacted me apologized and offered a refund for the…read moresupplements. I just urge you as a future client to ask questions and advocate for yourself. I went to to Dr. Jessica with my 7 month old son to help treat his constipation after being referred to her by my acupuncturist whom I really like and trust. I honestly can not say if what she did with him helped or not. He is no longer constipated but this happened after I made changes in his diet more so than after she adjusted him. After she saw him for his problem I thought to myself, "It might be worth a shot to take care of myself, my body has been through a lot in the last year, I could probably use an adjustment and some health advice." So I went. She asked me questions about what was bothering me, I was 100% honest with her. She did her Applied Kinesiology testing, QUICKLY decided what I was sensitive to, what supplements I "needed" that I needed a yeast clense and then she adjusted me. She never took the time to explain most of what she was doing, she never took the time to discuss the supplements that she said my body told her I needed. She knew I was a breastfeeding mom; I know she knew, she saw me feeling him in her office. When I got home I realized $87 worth of the supplements she prescribed said DO NOT TAKE WHILE LACTATING. Wait what?!? I trusted this person, why wouldn't she tell me that the "drugs" she was telling me to take we're not good for me to take while I was feeding my son? I have reached out to her and have not received a response. I have asked to return the product and I have told her that I was disappointed by her lack of transparency. Shame on me for having trust is a person who claims that they are there to help. When you are counseling pregnant women and nursing mothers, you need to inform on the supplements you are prescribing them thus allowing them to make informed and educated decisions for themselves and their children.

Dr. Jessica is an extremely competent and caring healer. As an older adult, I can get aches and…read morepains from over exertion - or just leaning down to pull a weed! Using kinesiology ( muscle testing), Dr. Jessica knows exactly what needs to be adjusted. She provides specific, specialized care - not the same old adjustment on every visit. Her adjustments are gentle, yet effective. And she uses massage and other techniques to provide healing. Then she does more muscle testing to ensure her adjustments and techniques haven proven effective. My husband and I have spent thousands of dollars on other chiropractors. Not anymore! Dr. Jessica is the real thing! No more pain and suffering! Go see her - you'll be glad you did!

She has always been very responsive to my panicked calls (when is it not an urgent call, when your tiny baby is sick, even if it's "normal"?) She has also welcomed my questions/hesitations when it comes to some Western medicine norms, and she always offers holistic and research-based advice/thoughts/diagnoses. She even met me on a Saturday (not office hours) to give my girl the last of her three-day antibiotic shots for an ugly ear infection. Personally, she diagnosed and has helped treat issues I've had for years -- that a counselor, midwife, dermatologist, and naturopath didn't catch. While it is a younger and smaller practice, I'm definitely willing to overlook a less-than-friendly receptionist who answered the phone a few times or confusion with paperwork. The care and professionalism we've received when it really counts is invaluable to me. Update (Feb 2018): she no longer has a frazzled receptionist. Leslie is always kind, warm, and welcoming! :)

I really don't understand anyone rating Dr. Shelley any more than one star....?…read moreI am new in town and looking to find a medical provider in my neighborhood and thought from this clinic's website that it would be a perfect fit. Yet it was a complete let down from the moment I called to make an appointment. It was hard to get in, the woman on the phone was rude and not helpful and then my appointment was not scheduled correctly. Dr. Shelly was not any more impressive. Unfortunately, she was very impersonal, did offer a natural and holistic approach I was looking for and rushed me out of her office. I'll keep looking for someone that will offer me more than 15 minutes of their time. I wasted a $30 copay on 15 useless minutes.
