Immediately after I reached out to Maura, she got back to me and set up a meeting with the school's director and owner, Chris. We went over how the school works and the general process and then Chris set me up with my instructor, Rick Inzerillo, who did a fantastic job teaching me to fly. He's a former airline pilot who's enthusiastic and knowledgeable not only about aviation, but teaching aviation as well. The atmosphere was friendly and other instructors went out of their way to answer any questions I had if Rick wasn't there (Special thanks to Brad, Zach and Chris). The airport was not interested in following through on any remedy. I then contacted this school and a few others that have websites/addresses. When I finally received a response from them, it was curt. I realize that ATC makes the call on the direction a plane follows but the volume some of these businesses are doing lately has been unpleasant.
