We were never called with an estimate nor okayed the cost BEFORE they did work on my car. When we did call for updates they gave us estimates 2x saying the work would be $1600ish. When we got there to pick it up it's almost 1900! Their "credit" solution is a joke and they did NOT care that it put us in a hardship.

Er had called a dealer in Rapid city before someone told us about D&F. This place is a real auto mechanic shop! We had no idea what was wrong as our truck wouldn't drive past 50 miles an hour. And the owner had this truck fixed in no time. The dealerships before someone told us about DF told us that repair will take weeks. And this shop fixed it in less than 4 hours and it was perfect. I can't thank the locals for this recommendation. A very honest shop that didn't gauge us with $$$$. Rapid city dealership didn't care. But D&F truck and auto repair in Wall , South Dakota did such a wonderful job. Fixing our truck and off we went and enjoyed our vacation immensely. Thank you D&F. You did such a wonderful job and we appreciate your patience and troubleshooting the problem you found in no time. Value estimate was honest and far less than a dealer repair. This shop is honest!

Point S was the first thing I saw and I had a good experience at another Point S in Utah last summer, so even though my GPS was set to go to another tire place, I stopped here. I visited this Subaru dealership in Rapid City, SD during a recent trip to the Black Hills region…read moreof the state as I consider my next move into retirement. As an FYI, this dealership is one of ONLY TWO in the entire state of South Dakota (the other being on the other side of the state in Sioux Falls). I wanted to check out the dealer's inventory of new 2026 Outbacks since the car was completely redesigned for the 2026 model year. While this is a relatively small Subaru dealership compared to others I've been to near where I live on the East Coast, they had a pretty impressive inventory of new 2026 Outbacks in a variety of trim levels. They also had a nice inventory of other Subaru models, too. While I was not buying at the moment, I spoke with a young salesman who did not apply the usual pressure tactics; he informed me that in So. Dakota, documentation fees are minimal because the buyer is responsible for paying the sales taxes, registration and title fees themselves and that those requirements are fulfilled in the buyer's county treasurer's offices. Thus, the potential for additional dealer profiteering rip-offs that can be seen in states like NEW JERSEY and FLORIDA where the documentation fees are UNREGULATED by the STATE do not occur in So. Dakota. This was refreshing to hear and I decided that when I buy my next Subaru after my move to South Dakota in 2027, that I will seriously consider returning to COURTESY SUBARU in Rapid City.
