Der zunächst gemietete Wagen musste zurückgegeben werden, da 1. ein Softwareupdate nötig war, in…read morederen Zeit das Fahren nicht möglich gewesen wäre, 2. ein Schaden nicht vermerkt wurde und 3. (Hauptgrund) nach 10 min Fahrt nach Abholung eine Warnung bezüglich des Reifendrucks gemeldet wurde (Der Bordcomputer meldete dass der Reifendruck überprüft und das Auto im Anschluss neu kalibriert werden müsse). Ich habe umgehende versucht die Station anzurufen, jedoch ohne Erfolg (Begründung des Mitarbeiters der Station: Leitung ist derzeit nicht in Betrieb). Die 24-Hotline des Hertz Pannendienstes erreichte ich nach mehrmaligem Anrufen und über 15 Minuten Wartezeit in der Hotline. Diese konnte mich nicht an die Station weiterleiten. Sie konnte auch nicht die Station für mich kontaktieren. Stattdessen sollte ich zurückfahren, da doe Abwicklung mittels Pannendienst sehr lange dauern würde. Nach dem Tausch des 1. Wagens zeigte mir der Bordcomputer des 2. Wagens direkt an, dass ein Service notwendig sei. Somit musste ich auch diesen Wagen wechseln. Diesmal übernahm der Mitarbeiter die Aufgabe, den Wagen vom Parkplatz in die Nähe des Schalters zu fahren. Als er zu uns kam teilte er mit, dass der Wagen einen Steinschlag hätte. Ich könnte nun entscheiden, ob ich diesen Wagen trotzdem nehmen würde, oder ob er nochmals einen weiteren Wagen holen würde (Spoiler: Die Scheibe ist später gerissen - die Carglass-Werbung hat recht!). Ich habe mit diesem gesamten Prozess (3 Wagen inklusive Unterschrift und Abwicklung) über 2,5 Stunden verbracht. Auf meine Frage, ob auch die Abgabe dementsprechend nach hinten verschoben werden könne, sagte er dass dies grundsätzlich nicht möglich sei, da die Buchung ja bereits begonnen habe. Als ich sagte dass der Grund dafür die mangelhaften Wagen seien, sagte er am Ende würde es ja "Aussage gegen Aussage" stehen. Er sicherte mir jedoch zu direkt im Anschluss an die Übergabe (wir befanden uns am Abgabeplatz im Parkhaus) im System zu überprüfen ob eine entsprechende Änderung möglich sei und mir dies umgehend per Mail (Telefon ging ja nicht!) mitzuteilen. Ich habe bis zur Abgabe keine Mail erhalten, was mich maßlos enttäuscht und verärgert hat. Ein späterer Anruf meinerseits hat ebenfalls wieder nicht funktioniert da niemand ans Telefon gegangen ist. Das war wirklich eine unglaublich unterirdische customer experience. Ich kann nur jedem abraten, einen Wagen bei Hertz (insbesondere an dieser Station) zu mieten.

Hertz then charged me 12.75 euros for gasoline ($17.28/gal) plus another 29.08 euros for pumping the fuel. That works out to $51/gal. Of course, Hertz did not even manage to squeeze another gallon of gasoline into the car. But Hertz sure managed to squeeze me --- and they will probably treat you similarly if you are foolish enough to rent from them.

When I wanted to pick-up the car on a a…read moreearly Sunday morning after a long flight from the US, I was told that Alamo/Enterprise doesn't accept my VISA Debit card for the security deposit and insisted on a credit card (which I didn't have). Instead of being helpful to solve the issue, the clerk insisted on the purchase of an additional fully comprehensive insurance for EUR 400 on my Debit card to release the car. I had no other choice than taking it or I would have lost my pre-paid booking. I never had a problem with a VISA Debit card in the past 15 years traveling in Europe, and this felt like highway robbery. Never Alamo/Enterprise again. Worst rental car experience ever.

Be careful renting a vehicle here. I've been renting for many years without problems. On my last…read morerental (for four days), Sixt charged me over Euro 1,000 for a scratch above the rear quarterpanel upon return, claiming I caused the damage! I guess their way of recouping money lost during covid times. Just make sure to take pictures and video of the entire rental car upon return (no sixt employee was available during return to receive car and look it over). . Rented again with Enterprise and absolutely no problems.

I had to go there twice by bus (2 one-hour trips) because I forgot my license ad then I didn't have the right ec card with me. Totally my fault, I know. But the unfriendly, defensive and disrespectful way he handled my ignorance (not the trainee, but her supervisor or colleague) made me angry. Please choose another car rental company that will treat you as a valuable human being and have compassion. In the end I didn't rent the car. I just can't give my money to such companies which see you only as a source of money, if I don't have to.
