If you're in Amsterdam, the Internationaal Theater is a must. We watched a Dutch version of A Streetcar Named Desire in the Rabozaal. It's a fantastic space with great sightlines and acoustics.
The theater itself is the perfect size--intimate enough to feel every bit of the drama, but large enough to have that grand, professional atmosphere.
Note for international visitors: They do offer English translations, but look to the top corners of the stage for them. To keep the text and the actors in the same line of sight, try to snag a seat on either the left or right side of the hall. It's a brilliant way to spend an evening in the city! read more
