While most liquor stores have a general, cliche selection of boring beer (Bud, Coors, Miller, Corona)--these guys are heavy handed with local craft. Faction Brewery in Alameda (for example) makes a really good brew. My two favorites are The Penske File, and the Faction Pale Ale. Broadway has them BOTH. Faction is not impossible to find; it is rare. Off the top of my head, others include: (Faction, Almanac, Anchor, 21st, Drakes, and Fort Point. Also a lot from So Cal. (Stone, Beaver, Ballast Point). Im sure more. That's just beer! I haven't made my way to wine or spirits... But picture the best of everything local that bottles and they may have it. In addition to alcohol, they also sell bitters, as well as syrups. Also sells lots of tobacco and a lot of other nicotine products. But come on, that shit sucks and is horrible for you!
