I tried to buy something here two times in the middle of the day, but it was always closed. I won't try a third time.

It's a bit like Target, with low price points and basically they carry all that you need. This Carrefour is extremely busy, I'm not sure why. The checkout lines had about 50 people ahead of me, but the lines move quickly. Like many Euro markets, you have to pay for a bag or bring your own. Whether you're shopping for groceries or gifts for your friend and family back home, Carrefour is a must visit no matter what!

A great place to pick up groceries, toiletries, fresh baked goods, even some cute clothes! Monoprix loses a couple of stars because it could be a little cheaper, particularly when it comes to groceries. Still a great place to go if you only want to make one stop!

Staff in here do speak English and quite helpful. They have a big gourmet section as well with a restaurant. Not sure what it's like as we did not try it. All in all an ok shopping experience.

We paused and then were approached by security person. He proceeded to take the bag to a very busy cash register. He balled up the top first and aggressively rubbed it against a metal shelf. He did the same with the matching skirt. Then he proceeded to shove it back into the bag. I stopped him and wanted to see both pieces. He snagged both the top and the skirt, ruining a $240 outfit which was just purchased and wrapped with exquisite care. After speaking with the security man , he refused to help us. We went upstairs to look for a possible exchange. None were available so we had to fight to get a refund for the damaged goods. We waited at least 45 minutes and the 1 cashier who could do the credit. We will NEVER go there again due to the abundant amount of ineptitude and stupidity. It was so very disappointing to see my mom one minute so elated and then two seconds later subjected to such horrid treatment!!! I will make certain to speak honestly regarding the hideous service this department store rendered to my friends who travel and love to spend!

This spot seemed geared towards tourists and shoppers in a mid-upper economic situation, as it's def on the pricier end from a quality and assortment perspective (think Bloomingdale's in NYC). There are signs posted on how to get tax refunds on purchases over a certain amount. That being said when I went mid-January they were having a fair amount of end of season sales across most retailers so shopping (or window shopping) can be an alternative activity for a rainy January day when it's not nice enough outside to enjoy the gorgeous views along the coast. The store is divided into 5 stories (first floor being floor 0 in Europe). Floor 0 includes cosmetics and beauty, watches and accessories and a salon, plus individual shops for the luxury retailers like LV, Balenciaga, Gucci, etc. First and second floors are higher end and mid-high end women's apparel and additional accessories. Third floors is men's and fourth floor is everything else--furniture, home goods, gourmet foods, restaurant. Personally wish it carried more gourmet food items like the Paris locations, but I guess it's not as big as those locations so there's less selection.
