    East Harbor room view
    Greg T.

This property is a bit expensive, but fit our needs perfectly...it is an easy walk from the Sydney Cruise Port, and offered lounge access for early arrivals. Disembarking at 0830, we appreciated knowing we'd have a comfortable place to relax while we waited for our room to be ready. Desk staff are friendly and efficient. The lounge had a great view and delicious buffet. Our room was ready by 1015, and our luggage waiting when we got to the room. Our room overlooks Sydney harbor, is well appointed and very comfortable. Well stocked minibar, and a water boiler and real cups. In room safe for keeping any gold bars you might have brought along. The view is impressive, too!

The breakfast in the lounge, if you can get in, is also delicious. I recommend the avocado toast with two eggs on sourdough. The upstairs lounge has an array of fresh fruits, including pomegranates, kiwis, and more. Smoked salmon, prosciutto, and Wagyu salami also line the buffet. The views from some of the rooms are off the charts good: You can see both the bridge and the Opera House! I stayed here for the marathon, and it is an excellent location nearby the Finish Line.

Stayed in the King Classic Opera House View High Floor room to start our honeymoon and we were blown away! What a fantastic place to stay in Sydney! The location made all things in CBD and public transportation quite accessible, the staff and service were phenomenal, and the view from the room was unforgettable. On our first night the staff gave us a bottle of sparkling wine to celebrate our trip which was a great touch. Thereafter all staff was always kind and helpful. The room was cleaned impeccably when requested, and the powered blinds and bedside light controls were also helpful. The Treasury restaurant downstairs was also a super vibey and great spot for a quick bite or drink. Perhaps a touch expensive, but worth it for the convenience. The room came with an included power adapter (NOT converter) for US travelers, complimentary water, Nespresso coffee with milk, and a variety of snacks for purchase. The cost of the stay was indeed a little on the expensive side, but given all that you get for it, I think it was well worth it and would definitely seek out staying here again!

A five star hotel with views of east harbor to the Sydney Opera house and downtown. We rolled our luggage off our cruise ship and walked a few blocks to this hotel with only the last block a challengung uphill roll. My husband and I travel light, so don't try it if you heavy luggage, take a taxi. Our room wasn't ready at 9 am, so they gave us access to the 32nd floor lounge with a continental buffet breakfast and coffee or tea served while we enjoyed the fabulous view and free wifi. Our room was ready after 10 am with no early check in charge and the east harbor view we requested. Our clean room has a great picture window with an automatic shade opener, and was fully stocked with every amenity except a microwave. They even brought us prosecco since we had noted it was our anniversary. We have tickets to the Sydney opera house which is just a waterfront stroll away. Will definitely stay here again, especially after having drinks in the lovely historic treasury bar in the lobby.

Perfect location. Walking distance to the harbour. Got a complimentary room for being an elite member. Service and cleanliness is great. Elevators can only be accessed with your keys. I just had a problem when I first checked in and was immediately resolved. Bell service is available. Breakfast was great!!! 7-25-2023

    The Treasury main floor bar.

The Treasury is the main bar and restaurant at the Intercontinental Sydney Harbor and in conjunction with the two club level lounges serve hotel guests and regular patrons. The service is impeccable with employees like Claire Wheeler and her club staff that really take care of the hotel guests and make it a wonderful place to spend your hard earned travel dollars. Food selections are currated seasonally and serve many pallets. We loved our many days at The Intercontinental and the staff boosted our spirits daily.

Lovely hotel in a great location. Walking distance to an assortment of tourist must-dos. The rooms look like they have been recently refurbished. They feel elegant and modern. Bathrooms are equally exciting and the amenities are by Byredo! The rooms include a very plentiful mini bar, espresso machine, electric tea kettle, iron + ironing board, safe. Another cool feature is the availability of USB and USB-C ports to connect/charge devices during your stay.

I had a great experience here. It wasn't just room for the night but felt like quite the adventure. My room was upgraded to the harbour view. Loved it of course. I could just sit in the window and watch all the boats come in and out. Not to mention it was the night before Australia Day so they were practicing with the lights in the evening on the harbour. It made it all look magical. Location was close to circular quay which is great to get any adventure cracking. There were plenty of places around that had late night coffee or foods which was a plus. If you ever get a chance to go upstairs to the Panorama Bar .. don't miss out. What a view, and unobstructed by glass. Brilliant to sit out on a sultry warm evening and watch the city get a make over with coloured lights. In the morning I was able to get the buffet breakfast. Not as big as it once was but work the money spent. Make sure you leave plenty of time to sit and enjoy the food and unlimited coffee and tea. And, if you can... get the late check out. I had 4pm. Wow. Made me feel like I had a whole extra day in the city. I came away feeling like I had been away for days. The only thing I would fault the hotel with was the bed. It's a 4 star bed. Not like other 5 star hotels where as soon as you lay down you don't want to move. Lol (Not that I was not comfortable or didn't sleep well, it just wasn't plush... and beds are my 'oh yeah' thing. Lol)

This is a nice hotel in an excellent location. Everything is within 5-10min walk away from here - opera house, circular quay, botanical garden, the rocks, etc. We arrived early around 8am and our rooms were not ready, however they provided us access to 31st floor to use the pool, shower etc. The room was large and comfortable. I loved the window seat with views of the harbor bridge. They also sent a complimentary fruit tray as part of the welcome kit to my room. There's also complimentary coffee and croissants in the morning in the lobby.

Yup...this is a hard no for me. This place was suppose to be one the of best hotels in Sydney. I just got off like 10-12 hour flight from Seoul and prior to making room reservation we told them our check in time. When we got there they said our suite is not ready, they said it can take 30min to either 2 hours. Fine. But 2-3 hour passes by they said that the previous guest staying in the room has late check out. WHY DID YOU NOT CHECK THIS BEFORE HAND? They gave us to wait longer which can be 4 hours or switch rooms. Was really looking forward to the suite with the Sydney Opera House view. So disappointing and I just want to shower. Side Note: I guess their main concern are for guest in business wear because I am super casual right now and not feeling very welcomed. Oh well. **They do have really good food and coffee though on the lobby floor**

I had a wonderful stay here. The location is superb. Just a short walk from everything. I walked to the Opera House to see a play in the evening. Walked the botanical gardens every morning. Walked to go shopping, to the bus to Bondi beach! It was perfect. They let me check in a few hours early, which was awesome. Service was great and so was the breakfast in the morning. I cannot complain about a thing. I will definitely stay here again! I'm a fan.

I will start off by saying that I used to stay at this hotel many years ago and I had a good impression from this particular location....then. My first impression now: it has not aged very well. The first thing I noticed walking into the room was this old television set dating back from the start of the century. The curtains and blinds were left completely open so the room was also steaming hot. A feature that I didn't particularly appreciate but that's a minor detail. I turned my attention to the A/C to get some much needed cool air pumped into this sauna of a room. That unit was also very much deficient and days later at its lowest setting (17c) it was still struggling to ship out anything but cool air. Not much effort has been made to update the furniture or the electrical outlet to a more modern and practical use. USB outlet is one of the feature that comes to mind. The restroom is rather small but clean. The one positive thing I will say about this hotel is its close proximity to the shopping as well as the restaurants and tourist attractions. For the price, you can find much better.

32nd floor rooftop bar with 360 views and servers who know how to capture them in photos!

Fabulous location just over a block to circular quay wharfs/Sydney harbor and opera house. Rooms are spacious and recently remodeled, well appointed. Prepaid breakfast buffet is incredible, tons of offerings and all of it fresh and gourmet quality. Rooftop bar is a must visit (see photo). Best of all, they placed us in our room at 10 am at no extra fee which was a delight after flying for 24 hours! Highly recommend.

Ask someone to point you in the direction of the light rail. Take the light rail to the Convention Center stop. Once there walk into the adjacent parking garage. Take the elevator to the fourth floor as if you're going to Novotel. Walk through the parking garage until you hit Murray St. and the hotel will be across the street from you. After you've checked in you can go back through the fourth floor of the parking garage to the walking bridge that will take you to the harbour and shops. You can walk all over town from this central location... across the Pyrmont Bridge, over to Chinatown, a relatively short walk to Circular Quay... it's really a great location. Swag and free stuff: Amazing! When you book on their website you get free happy hour at their bar, everything in the mini bar is free, free breakfast, free loot bag of snacks, free tote bag to swing around town or load up a few extra gifts for home. Lots of goodies! Attention to detail: Never better! From the spare toilet paper that reads "who gives a crap" to the frame hanging in the lobby for people to take selfies with, this place is fun and interesting. I found myself wanting to explore the hotel as much as I wanted to explore Sydney. Food: Nice spread! They had a really nice continental breakfast spread in the morning... lots of fruits, breads and pastries, cereal, hard boiled eggs, a variety of juices, and a coffee machine. I think there would be something there for everyone but if that didn't suit your fancy you could also pay for other breakfast options from the kitchen or coffee bar. Literally the only downside I came across was that the walls were thin so I could hear a lot of noises from the hallway and laundry room. So pack some ear plugs!

VERY DISAPPOINTING STAY- NOT THE FOUR SEASON STANDARD…read more This was one of the most disappointing hotel stays I've experienced, especially for a brand like Four Seasons that is supposed to represent luxury and impeccable service. We were suspicious upon first arrival when reception appeared overwhelmed and not able or willing to accommodate our requests. I must give a shout out to Lorenzo who did meet our expectations when we were able to enlist his assistance. The hotel felt understaffed, which affected every aspect of the stay. The accommodations were underwhelming, with rooms that were small , particularly for room class designations ,and far below expectations for price point. Food and beverage service was particularly poor. Simple details that should be effortless at this level--like providing decent coffee in the lobby--were completely botched: no cream and poorly brewed coffee. The maitre d for breakfast service was particularly rude and appeared bothered. Wait staff appeared confused and not understanding what we needed. We felt like an inconvenience, perhaps because we did not order the self serve buffet and required a simple breakfast? Overall, this hotel failed to deliver on the most basic elements of hospitality, let alone luxury. The Four Seasons name sets a high bar and while I had high expectations, this property fell short in multiple areas. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, as significant improvements are needed to meet brand standards.
