If I could give negative stars I would! I'm extremely disappointed writing this review, especially…read morebecause this was for my baby shower for my first child -- a once-in-a-lifetime event I can never get back. I paid $1,000+ for three staff members, and two of them showed up late. For an event where timing matters, this immediately created unnecessary stress. There was no reimbursement, no partial refund, and no real attempt to make things right. Unfortunately, the issues went beyond punctuality. The staff appeared unprofessional stating things like "you own this house?" in shock and degrading that people of color could own a lovely home and mostly stood around instead of proactively assisting guests or supporting the flow of the event. I found myself directing people I had hired to manage things -- which defeated the entire purpose of booking staff in the first place. When I addressed my concerns with the owner, I was met with zero accountability. Rather than acknowledging the late arrivals and lack of professionalism, she shifted the blame onto me as the customer. That response was more disappointing than the service itself. The company promotes itself heavily and builds high expectations, but the execution simply did not match the branding. Being offered a "discount" for a future event felt almost insulting -- especially given this was my first time hiring event staff and likely my last with this company. Since then, I've seen what professional event staff actually look like at another event, and the difference was night and day. This was my baby shower -- a special milestone -- and the experience added stress instead of support. I would not book again and do not recommend.

But Daniel, see Daniel takes pride in creating a vision. His goal is not to meet but to exceed your expectations. At least this is how I perceived him. Based on my experience with Daniel I can say with confidence He aims for that WOW factor and that's what sets him apart from the rest. There are plenty of party venues out there these days but none give you everything you want on the same tab. Daniel Perez steps up and shows out! And I mean that with the utmost respect. My experience with him was superb, even when I was pushy or doubtful Daniel remained patient, and continued to assure me that I could/should trust him, even though I didn't want to I had no choice to. The day of my sons first birthday party I was overwhelmed with what I saw... I think I almost cried! I wanted a very authentic and detailed Yo Gabba Gabba themed birthday party. My requests were met and then some. Daniel literally turned the Ridgewood Room into Gabba Land and an exclusive DJ lance appeared to entertain the kids. My sons first birthday was spectacular my guests as well as myself were in awe with how well everything turned out and til this day people STILL remind me of what a great party that day was. That party was in 2013 so this review is long overdue, I have returned to Daniel Perez for a second 1st bday party for my new baby girl who is turning one in May and I am excited to see how Mr Daniel Perez will execute my vision this time around. This review is based on another party Perez events hosted. and Just when I thought it couldn't get any better Danny and his staff blow me away once again. My daughters first birthday party was nothing short of breathtaking!!!! It literally brought me to tears. No seriously, I walked in and my stomach was filled with butterflies I was so happy, no no I was so OVERJOYED that I cried and I immediately called Danny on the spot to thank him. I remember my words were "I am going to slap you" he of course jumped to defense and I stopped him and I said "you literally have me crying right now I am SO HAPPY thank you So much Danny I LOVE IT"... Danny and his team delivered beyond my expectations!! I wanted a Parisian Garden themed party and I got a notch up. It was a Royal Parisian Garden. The stage emulated royalty fit for a princess. YES! My princess indeed! He even had Parisian music playing while my guests entered. It was perfectly executed and I loved every single detail. Daniel and his team have a passion for what they do and it gleams through their deliverance every time. Here are a few photos of my daughters Royal Parisian Garden 1st birthday party but truth be told the photos do not fully represent what it looked like in person.

Jose was professional and his prices were competitive. I was looking for a basic DJ and MC but he was way more than I expected. He had an awesome light show that he offered...lets just say my husband was drooling after that presentation and I had no choice but to say ok. We put the deposit down right away!!! We met a few days before the wedding to finalize the list of music and of course I was overprepared with 5 pages of music haha. But it was so comforting to know that he was familiar with a majority of the music. We were very worried that we wouldnt be able to find a DJ that could properly mix American, Carribbean and Spanish music. They did that and more. My wedding has been over 2 months ago and I still get calls about the DJ. They truly made the wedding and set the tone. The floor was literally jumping towards the end of the night!!! If only I could go back to that day!!! Jose even helped with non-DJ responsibilities...even just asking how everything was going!! Elegancia was magnificent and I will be calling for any major event that I have...You should too!!

We met with them on a recommendation from my cousin. They did a great job at for him, and at the party I saw them DJ late last year. We met with the owner, Jose, and were impressed enough to book without seeing any other DJs. He innately has the elegance for which his company strives. He's a well organized, intelligent professional. We were sold on him, and his self-made photo booth. Things went a bit wonky months later when we later met the Emcee/DJ he assigned to us. You see, we had asked if he would be our Emcee, or emcee and DJ both. He said he could emcee, but there would be someone else DJing. We never confirmed with him that he was emceeing, and who we got was one of his contractors. After meeting this contractor, we saw he wasn't a great fit, but I knew I could pull together and supply enough music and provide all the cues he'd need. So we rolled with it. Our mistake. Another issue was that we thought we were hiring a 2-man team, but were told they need an extra hand, a lighting assistant. That's an extra vendor meal and extra tip, and we found out a month before the wedding. On the wedding day he missed the bride's entrance cue. I had listed out (and supplied) four different pieces of music, one each for the parents, the groomsmen, the bridesmaids and the bride. He didn't switch to the bridesmaid music when they walked out, so he thought their music was the bride's music. She wouldn't come out until our Maitre 'D rushed over to tell him to switch the music. As to the reception, things went well until the dancing started. He started our first (choreographed) dance without a cue - we rushed to be in position to start. The music during the reception was tepid - the consensus amongst the guests was that his set skewed older. He didn't read the crowd very well, and didn't really get what I was trying to convey during our meeting. There were a couple of other small matters, but the gist is that this guy didn't listen well - he suggested and defaulted to the things he had done before. He wasn't a good match for us, whereas we feel Jose would have been. Bottom line is this: We might recommend Elegancia in the future, but with these caveats. 1. Try to get Jose to emcee, or truly vet his contractors for fit. 2. Be sure to voice your concerns as soon as you have them. 3. Be very specific about your needs and wants. Maybe even micro-manage the music flow.

Had no issues except delivery refusing to bring our order up a total of 3 steps. Yes 3. So we had to bring our ENTIRE order + over 100 chairs inside ourselves. Flash forward to our recent baby shower. Physically went to their showroom to pick out what we needed and make the order in person. Order was still wrong. We also did not receive our quote until days later when we were told we would get it that day. We had to reach out and ask for it (we think they forgot). Our delivery was scheduled for a Friday, on that Monday I received an email saying our linens that we picked out almost 8 weeks prior were suddenly not available. I needed under 15 tablecloths. This was a specific color so not sure how this happened or was not put on hold? Had to scramble and find a new rental company for those. Nightmare. On top of that, the glassware and silverware we received was FILTHY. About 90% of everything was water stained and rusted Unprofessional, rundown & unsanitary. Very disappointing.
