This review is for the open-gym time. This place is super cool. If you ever been to a gymnastics / parkour gym you will love this place. For one, its huge, and there is plenty of space to move around. Even when it gets crowded, you will not be waiting long and have space to move around. The place is clean, the owners and staff are very nice, and the prices for open-gym are very reasonable. My son has been here twice and loves this place. He took a parkour class and really liked it, but also likes the open-gym. The parkour area is in the back of the gym, and has a lot of elements to practice on. They even have 12' and 14' warped wall, in case you are thinking of trying out for American Ninja Warrior :) If you are looking for a place for gymnastics or parkour, I would check this place out. Really disappointed with our experience during my daughter's trial gymnastics class. She was the youngest and it was her first time, but the instructor barely engaged with her or helped guide her through the new activities. I also noticed the instructor grabbing her by the arm to move her around kind of aggressively. She's 3 years old... Coach generally seemed tired and disengaged with all of the children. If you don't like teaching toddlers then don't work with them? There were only three kids in the class, so I expected much more individual attention and encouragement. The class consisted of three young Black girls and there's only one coach for the toddlers classes and she's white and genuinely seems like she can care less about the kids actually learning gymnastics. The whole experience felt very hectic, and unfortunately, I left extremely disappointed. I will not be returning. read more

I would never send my child back to this day camp or to a summer camp. My recommendation is to look elsewhere - and when you do, ask for the daily itinerary. Schools and camps have a responsibility to provide students with a protected and enjoyable experience. I feel this camp fell so short of that. If you're already sending your child there, ask questions and demand more. From my perspective, it is developmentally inappropriate for a 4 or 5 year old to be expected to sit in a chair for 3 hours to color with colored pencils ... especially when they are expecting a day of gymnastics. My daughter has been coming here since she's four years old. She's now eight. We love the gym very close knit family feel teachers are awesome. Coaches are great highly recommended and now they have a homeschool program on Mondays and Fridays which we love to. read more

My 2 boys 5 and 6 yo attended Intensity Gymnastics for a year. They loved coming to the classes, became stronger and more flexible. The program had focus on athletics for boys that is great and not every club has. One period of time they had a great coach; his classes were intense, challenging and very well organized. However; most of the time coaches were young girls and substitutes- this is the reason of 4 stars instead of 5. Generally, good club for kids. read more

My daughter attended and was doing well with coach Sharkie and coach Tadia they were great with her being a beginner. Whenever I paid at the front desk, I requested coach Sharkie's class and told she would be enrolled in it. Coach Sean started teaching them about 3 weeks ago and every week my daughter would have positive feedback with the other coaches but last week, she said coach Sean told her she was doing something weird with her feet, instead of correcting her or instructing her on how to position her feet correctly. This week, after a brief huddle, I saw coach Sean helping the other students in the beginners class but he hadn't even made contact with mine. He was lifting and helping them on the bars several times but not once would he assist my daughter. This went on for 30 minutes then they switched to the balance beams...same thing again, except this time, I noticed coach Sean rolling his eyes at my daughter and whispering something to her. My daughter was left alone and he singled her out again and was helping the others, the only time he addressed her was to loudly scold her and told her she needed to leave his class. Both times he spoke to her, I noticed her look sad, so I went over to see what the problem was. He was very hostile with me and said that her tols her to leave. I told him I saw him from the 1st station where he left her alone to flip on the bars with no assistance at all but he was helping the other girls...he then replied in a VERY loud and hostile manner that they offer one on one classes and that I'm free to enroll my child in one if I'd like but he's not gonna help her. At that time, seeing hiw distraught my 6 yr old was, I took her and went to the front desk where there was no empathy. I was told that the only classes they have at that time were with coach Sean. I am appalled at the level of unprofessionalism that he displayed and represents for the school. My daughter will not be going back. I knew quite a few moms who pulled their daughters from that class because of coach Sean. Might I add, if a child isn' t positioning her feet properly, as a coach your job is to teach them...that's why you're paid. You're not doing me any favors. Might I add my daughter was the only African in his class. On the way home Stacy from the gym called me and never ever apologized for his behavior. They also need to step up on sanitizing as the gym has splinters that get into the kids' hands and feet frequently and they have a mosquito issue. Ther isn't any verification at the front door and folks come and go as they please. My daughter described coach Sean as mean and being a bully and she was crying in the car. Not one sorry was given. I'm sorry I even took her to that place for her to be emotionally damaged for something beyond her control, but I'm happy she's found a new gym home that will treat her with the care she deserves...coach Sean, thank you for being lazy and insultive, you just made the gym lose a very good customer that could've recommended more kids to attend. I don't know what's going on with this gym. Last year the head-coach was fired for being drunk and was warned by parents that this coach was fired from numerous gyms for that very same reason. Next they hire a super coach that is now being investigated for inappropriate behavior. The owners should be held responsible. This coach has been fired, but why are the girls going through this kind of torment ? It seems no back-round checks are being done. Why would you put your child through this duress. There needs to be an investigation through the gymnastic board. Strike one I understand but strike two is too much. Lastly I know of four families that left because of this and the gym had the nerve to charge them for another month. Their reasoning is you have to give a months notice. My son and his friend to open gym. They enjoy going on Fridays. But last time we went two of the staff were in the gym, they were all over each other. The male had his head in the girl's crotch. A lot for young kids to be witnessing. Open gym is not cheap. It is supposed to be a family friendly place. This is totally unacceptable for staff. Very disappointed. read more

This place is an absolute disgrace and I'm going to tell you why. About a month ago my daughter was turned away upon her regular morning drop-off for summer camp, even though it was already paid for. The reason? Apparently an email was sent out about re-enrollment for session 2. The problem- We never received that email or was informed about needing to re-enroll because we were not attending at that time the supposed email was sent . This supposed email was sent in April, and at the time it was July ! They swore we were included in the email and stood firm on my daughter not being able to return then proceeded to tell her to have a good summer with tears rolling down her face . Good job intensity!! When we provided proof and requested the same, we were shut down . The lengths my husband had to go thru in order for these people to do the right thing is sickening. My daughter was then allowed to return once reaching the actual owner but again, Stacey and her mother displayed NO accountability, not even an apology . I have picked up my daughter on a few different occasions since that incident and if it wasn't painful for anyone to say hello or goodbye we were completely ignored. Today, which is about 3 weeks from the first incident, my husband received a call that my daughter needed to be picked up. She was stuffy and would not be able to return to the group . He was told that she would have to sit in the office until someone picked her up due to Covid . My daughter just got over COVID that she caught from this place place ! We had already provided a negative test result upon returning to camp . My daughter has severe seasonal allergies with medical records to prove it. What has now become apparent is that as soon as you hold anyone accountable for their negligence or wrong doings they'll mistreat your children . What kind of person, an adult at that, bully's a 6 year old child because their parent held you accountable ? An ANIMAL !!! You can count on your children's dreams and their happiness being smashed in the event you need to address any wrong doing on their behalf. I overlooked so many things about this establishment no matter how uncomfortable it made me as a parent because my daughters happiness is what was important to me . She has worked so hard to earn gymnastics camp and truly enjoyed the program and her friends . This place is not only overwhelmingly smelly, it's SO filthy and I'm not exaggerating. Gym refused to honor a Groupon I purchased for 4 beginner level classes for my daughter, stating that it was only for new students and that it said so on the Groupon. Well I can read and did read every area of the Groupon, even the fine print, and NO WHERE on the Groupon does it state only for new students. I called Groupon and they even said it did NOT say anything about it being for new students only. Even though I have the option to get my money back from Groupon, which the gym pointed out, it's just bad business not to honor an ad that was made by the gym. Whether it was a mistake by the gym or by Groupon, it is not the consumer's mistake and should be honored. To keep telling me that it says something that it obviously did not say or was meant to be something that is was not is not my fault. When I asked for them to read to me where it said for new students only, they conveniently stated that they did not have access to the ad anymore and that it was taken down. Well I still have access and offered to bring it in to have them show me where it said for new students only. Gone are the days of the customer being always right and business owners' doing what they can to keep customers happy. If this gym insists on practicing bad business then I'd rather take my business elsewhere. read more

Overprotective parents beware: Inensity Parkour will encourage your kids to do all the crazy stunts we've spent a millennium begging them not to do. Climb a wall, check. Jump off a roof, check. Jump off a roof... onto a wall, theyve got that too. The kids seem to enjoy the place. Its a usual gynastics place that added parkour. Smells like feet. And needs a good dusting. I gave this place almost an entire year of my money for recreational gymnastics for my kid who was so passionate about learning. I tried to give them time to change my perception, however it did not get any better. The coaches were not engaging and didn't seem to know how to really coach. I finally decided that it was time to bring my kid to a school that would challenge her and she could grow with. Although it is a great facility, the staff need to be more professional. Daughter spent months working on her skills and the coach never taught her the proper way to mount a balance beam or took her through the 4 apparatus. Office staff although friendly does not make sound business decisions. 1 day a week 1.5 hour class is $150 per month but 3 days per week 1.5 hours each class is $160 per month? How does this make sense? Owners allowed coaches to contradict each other. Coach doesnt want to work with your child unless they are fully ready. We came to this gym after many years at another gym, which did not have pits or higher level gymnasts. The primary reason we came to Intensity was for the equipment and facility. It is a large, clean facility with pits to train for higher level skills. The owners are extremely nice and gym parents themselves. For the more daring, there is also a growing parkour area! read more
