As soon as they were gone, our family room ceiling opened up and gallons of water poured in. The roofing company agreed to replace the flat roof but they did a sloppy job. I had someone on my roof who was screening off areas where critters could access our attic and they told me that flat roof needed to be replaced, sooner than later. I contacted several companies recommended by people on the Nextdoor app. One company came out to give me a quote but never returned my calls. Another company told me they were only doing roof replacements. I appreciated their honesty. I was very specific when I called roofing companies; I didn't need a new roof. One guy came out and told me he could contact my insurance company and tell them my roof had been damaged from a storm. We'd not had any damage to our roof from storms and that's bordering on insurance fraud. I decided to check out Yelp recommendations and saw that Easton had a lot of good reviews. When I called, they were very nice and told me they'd send someone out. The guys from Easton were there on time and they gave me an estimate. The estimate was very reasonable so I called to schedule the repair. The workers were very nice, professional, timely and they were there everyday until it was finished. They cleaned up after the repair so I wasn't finding random pieces of roofing material. Everyone, from the woman who answered the phone to the guys who did the repair was very nice and the whole process was seamless. Easton completed the repair and after years of checking ceilings, I can finally relax. Another contractor I'd used to remodel our house often needed access to the roof. I didn't ask him to check the flat roof but while he was up there, he wanted to check it out. He assured me they'd done a very good job and then asked for their info so he'd have the name of a good roofing company if one of his clients was looking to replace their roof. When an outstanding contractor is impressed with the work done by another company and asking for the company's info, that says a lot. If we have to replace our roof, we'll definitely use Easton and if anyone needs a roof replacement or repair, I highly recommend them. They've earned those 5 star reviews.

My husband and I knew it would be a huge project as we had a 40 year old wood shake shingle roof that was not insurable and needed to go probably 10 years ago. We ended up having three different companies out to bid, one we had used before for a smaller project that gave a competitive bid and two unknowns to us. The first unknown wanted to charge us twice as much as what we ended up doing, so it's certainly worth asking around and getting quotes. 1A was the most unknown as it was the only one that came with no Yelp reviews and no feedback from others online. Turns out they are a new company and when Danny came out to quote us on the roof he was really friendly, answered all of our questions, and gave us a price we just couldn't beat. Before we settled the deal we had at least one more call with him and talked through even more questions that came up and felt assured they would do a great job on this project. It took them around 3.5 days to complete our roof and I will say it was a ton of work. Pulling wood shake off of a 3K sq. ft. home is not an easy feat, especially in early June humidity in KC. The crew got to work, and my husband and I got to know Roberto, who with Danny, are the two owners of 1A. Roberto is young, but an honest, kind, and talented roofer. He did a great job leading his team and getting us a solid and nice looking roof in a good amount of time. The thing that probably shocked me the most was just how quickly they were able to clean up and get our yard back to looking normal when they were done. On top of that they fixed anything that had to be moved, ensured our gutters were clean, and were responsive to all questions throughout the process.

POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE AFTER BEING PAID IN FULL…read more We had a new roof installed by them a little over a year and a half ago. A few months after it was completed, my wife and I were on the back deck and bats started flying past our heads. I went in and got my spotlight and sure enought, there was a gaping hole in the corner where the roof meets the wall and there was insulation on the roof and a bat staring out the hole at me. I immediately reached out to Luke, whom I had been dealing with throughout the entirety of the process and sent him a picture of the problem area. He informed me he is no longer with them but he reached out to the owner who offered to come out and put a piece of flashing there for $200. We already paid thousands of $ for a new roof and gutters and this should have been done correctly the first time. To offer to come finish the job they'd already been paid for and charge me for it was an insult. Not to mention he didn't even address the bat issue which was clearly a direct result of them not doing their job correctly. Once I heard the owner's response, it was clear to me how they do business so I just figured I'd deal with it on my own. After trying a couple things on my end, the issue persisted so we called a company to come take care of it. Well, it's costing me $1300. I reached back out and informed the owner of the situation and as expected, he's not taking responsibility so I'm out an additional $1300 PLUS I now have to remove and replace all the insulation in my attic. In addition to all that, The gutter guys showed up on a random day and time in a rust bucket truck and not in uniform which was really odd. I had no idea they were even coming that day and no one called prior to their arrival. The roofers also knocked out my internet. I work from home and it took almost a week to get it fixed. I'm a business owner myself so I don't take leaving negative reviews lightly but the lack of care and resolution to a problem that is so obvioulsly directly related to their crew's negligence, I felt implored to warn people about the way they treat customers after being paid in full. If I were you, I would call someone else and avoid being treated the way we were.

Their driver was swerving in and out of their lane for a long stretch of the road, and several times it looked like they were intentionally trying to hit my car. When I finally honked to alert them, they responded by accelerating to at least 15 mph over the speed limit. At the next red light, they refused to move when it turned green. Then, right before it turned red again, they suddenly took off--only to continue driving just as recklessly. When I rolled down my window and told them to stay in their lane, they sped up to around 60 mph, which is over 20 mph above the posted limit. This kind of dangerous, irresponsible driving is completely unacceptable for anyone--let alone someone operating a company vehicle fully branded with the Ramirez Roofing name. If this is how their employees behave on the road, I can only imagine what kind of care (or lack of care) goes into their work. I would never trust a company that allows this level of recklessness to represent them. Absolutely unacceptable. Edit to my original review: I want to clarify a few important details. The drivers this company spoke to are not being honest -- they were driving recklessly and nearly ran me off the road. The person who answered the phone refused to actually speak with me about what happened. No one yelled at her. I simply asked if she understood what I was saying, which for some reason she took as me asking if she spoke English. Instead of answering or discussing the situation, she refused to engage, so I told her I would escalate it to the police if she continued to shut down the conversation. She was the one refusing to act like an adult. When she asked if I got the license plate and I explained that it was dark and I only saw the company name on the van, she hung up on me. I have not received a call back -- only an aggressive public response to my Google review. My "creative version" is actually the truth, and it's disappointing that they would rather dismiss concerns than address reckless driving by their employees. Based on other reviews, poor communication and a complete lack of accountability seem to be an ongoing problem with this company.

He made the process of working with my insurance company very simple and was very familiar with the adjuster who was assigned. When it came time for the team to show up Luke was there to put up protective equipment around all of our garden essentials and the crew was very mindful of our belongings while constantly loading the roofing trash into the trash trailer. Even though the crew is Hispanic there was an English speaker who communicated the daily plans with me at all times of the project. I ordered a designer shingle which is less common, but the crew told me they have many years installing several dozen projects with the same shingle and have had plenty of experience with how to install it. When the project was completed they spent a considerable amount of time cleaning the yard to free it from nails and the smaller debris. I will be happy to recommend JR & Co to as many people as I can for as long as it is relevant.
