I helped her to research where would be the best place to take her SUV to be checked. 19th Avenue Garage kept coming up on here and on Google. Needless to say, these gentlemen are wonderful! So very kind and understanding as they knew she was going through a difficult time. They did a thorough check of her car. She had previously been told she had a transmission leak. These gentlemen did not find it. The "Check Engine" light, fortunately, was related to her tires. The batteries were old. There was some seepage from the brakes, but it was minimal. As for the brakes, they were still in good shape, but will eventually need attention. When she asked how much she owed them for their time, they told us "Zero". No charge! They understood she was going through a difficult time with her husband being in the hospital these past two months and assured her that her vehicle was safe to drive. They did invite her to return in six months for her next oil change and they would check her brakes again. Needless to say, I am so impressed with the kindness these gentlemen showed my neighbor, and that they could have charged her for their time as they did a thorough check of her SUV, but they did not. They have also won me as a customer! I will be taking my vehicle to them the next time it needs service. I am very impressed with this garage and with the gentlemen working there!

I showed up and had to park in the convenience store parking lot next door, because it looked like a pretty tight lot. They said that was no problem. I sat and looked at my phnoe for a little bit until the battery almost died (it was alrfeady low when I got there). They had charging cords on the coffee table with adapters for every phone. I plugged my phone in and sat it on the table and got comfortable for a longer wait, but moments later, true to the 1.5 hour estimate, they said my truck was ready. They advised me of some sort of leak on the front axle, but told me to check with the dealership because it might be under warranty. I appreciate that. I'll definitely be back for future service.

After stellar Yelp reviews (4 plus) guided us to AMC, paid over $3000 (for a broken serpentine…read morebelt, AC belts, new radiator etc., with all parts warranted per AMC). Confident and relieved we'd found a "go to" mechanic in Phoenix, one month later the car began experiencing intermittent power steering outage issues. Our son (in college and alone far from home) immediately brought the car back in, but AMC essentially refused to pop the hood, or otherwise even look at the car "unless the driver could replicate the issue". Two weeks later power steering and AC completely failed on a busy highway (due to a leaking radiator hose that ultimately fried the alternator). Paid an additional $800.00 (plus towing) to a competitor to fix what AMC should've caught. Also, AMC hours are now M-Th and of course this emergency happened on a Friday. First time Yelp has led me astray. 9/9/2026 - Owner Gilberto immediately reached out on Yelp below apologizing and asking for submission of additional repairs documentation to handle the case "fairly". To be fair, I did not go into specifics of prior phone interactions with Gilberto - owner - after the car was first towed to AMC and the had to be retowed to another shop due to AMC's inability to handle after hours emergencies (eg., no closed parking, nor key drop or other available). While all calls with were professional and courteous, Gilberto was ultimately unhelpful and disappointing (leaving us with limited options). The fact that AMC refused to do anything after the car was brought in by our son (for scary warning signs similar to the original problems) just prior to a catastrophic (towable) failure on a busy roadway is what is unacceptable. Not saying AMC is a bad business, they just really blew it. For minor car maintenance (oil changes and tire repairs) AMC is probably great. For major car repairs go elsewhere in the valley, please.

After the repairs were completed there was still major noise from the pinion bearings ( I kinda figured they may be bad also) so after getting another great price I had them do the repairs. I immediately drove 1250 miles to WA with trailer in tow and about 4500lbs of payload. The truck ran like a Swiss watch ! Absolutely phenomenal work by Don and his team. Great service, great attitude, great price, went above and beyond to make sure it was right. I HIGHLY recommend AN Auto Repair and very much appreciate honest work. My last trip here was because my 13 month old dealer-purchased battery was failing, but since the battery was so new, I was paranoid that it was alternator or starter - or something, and paranoid about the dealer (There seems to be a lot of paranoia here. You're judging me, aren't you!?), so I wanted to have at least the alternator checked before going back to the dealer in case they said it was something more. Though they were busy, One Stop had me pull right up to the bay and tested the alternator on the spot, confirmed that it was the battery and only the battery, and that I should take it on back to the dealer for replacement under warranty. No charge.* My most immediate prior visit to One Stop was right after I went for some manner of routine service at the dealer, and the young service adviser came out with a $1700 laundry list of items to do. With that, I said I can't handle that today and I'll be back another time. I promptly departed, going straight to One Stop for a comparison quote. They performed everything essential on the dealer list PLUS a brake job for roughly 1/3 the dealer quoted price, and told me there were a couple things that wouldn't need consideration for another 10k miles or so. Other than the subsequent battery failure reported above, the car has continued to perform flawlessly. The only "problem" I've ever had with this shop is some confusion about where my keys were left hidden for me to pick up the car after closing one evening, and I think that was probably a matter of my misunderstanding the automotive anatomy. That, and the recommended tow company declining putting the tow job on the bill and requiring payment on the spot. Located in an old gas station of indeterminate brand, there's one or two seats in the small concrete-floored front office, so no real waiting room, but there are a number of places to cool your heels, appetite or thirst within easy walking distance there in "the Melrose District", that section of 7th Ave between Indian School & Camelback roads. *Side note: I took my Honda C-RV on to the dealer and they replaced the battery with no sales pitch for anything else and at no charge. Nice to have that service department open Saturday afternoon, but it was busy and turned into close to a 2 hour wait for them to replace the battery at the dealer.

Not so strange until that's exactly what needed to be fixed on my car for thousands of dollars....... a car that's having directionality issues. That's a very specific claim. Anyways I took it to National Automotive down the road and actually got taken care of. It was the sway link bar. No issues with the housing of the strut or shock assemblies. The car drives like a dream now, no thanks to Japanese Auto Pros. Saved a few thousand dollars by not taking their word at face value. The funny thing is I might have trusted them if they treated me with more respect. One of their workers (presumably a manager) told me they don't have time to call my warranty company for me and started playing the world's smallest violin for completely avoidable staffing issues.
