We hired Bill to tear out our old concrete patio and lawn and install pavers, new sod along with…read moreall new sidewalks. This was done very late in the fall of 2019. We did not have a chance to access the work, as it snowed shortly after he completed the job. Come spring 2020 we noticed that a large portion of the pavers have settled towards the house, which causes the water to run towards our home. The reason for the landscaping in the first place was because of this issue, which is now worse than it was before.   As for the sod, the yard was never graded and fill was not laid appropriately so the sod could grow. We are left with a very rough yard of dead sod. The only thing that was done properly was the sidewalks, which Bill subcontracted out. The sub contractor came to our residence twice asking for payment even though Bill was paid in full. The sub contractor still has not been paid. 01002339275-00 9 We paid over $18,000 for this landscaping and are left with and absolute disaster. We had several other landscaping companies come to assess and to have the work done properly which we already paid Bill to do will cost at least $7,000. Mind you when we told the other companies what we paid for the work Bill attempted to complete they were astonished and said we were severely overcharged. We have requested Bill pay for us to have the landscaping done properly. We are not asking for reimbursement of the entire amount, but just what we will have to pay to have it completed properly. Bill has refused so we have no other recourse than to file suit. In the process of doing so it appears this will not be the first time Bill has been sued. Appears he operated under a different business name and was sued by another individual, as he has several judgments. We would highly think twice before hiring Bill to do any work for you.

They built a nice wall, and steps, cleaned up fine, and landscaped okay. . 1) The communication and lack of professionalism was astounding. 2) He tried to get us to pay city fees that contractors are responsible for, and backed off only when questioned. Fees costing thousands. 3) Throughout a two year process, the communication was horrible, even though on MULTIPLE occasions we asked for a simple text with weekly updates. We asked for a weekly progress update at least 10+ times. We never received one, and he was unable to communicate with me in person. 4) He was misogynistic and only communicated things my husband even though I was home, and treated me as though I wasn't involved in the project. The lack of respect was insulting. 5) He posted a picture of our home, and address, on Facebook marketplace without our knowledge. He purchased too many rocks, never once communicated this with us, and advertised the rocks on Facebook. We had a young dog sitter staying at the house who was terrified that strange people were driving up and taking rocks from our yard (rocks we paid for and would have used elsewhere in the yard). We had no idea why this was happening. After some calls, this was taken down only at my husbands request and no apology was given. 6) The final invoice was incorrect and he had not kept accurate records of payments. We had to go through our records to show him the error. 7) The work done was fine work but I could never recommend Schneiders Landscaping to anyone based upon the way the company is run. 8) Followup has been non existent. He promised information regarding plant care and ongoing maintenance that we've never received. 9) I later learned my neighbor had used them only to have issues over billing and a lack of proper follow through.

I tried to contract American Landscape to do some drainage work at my house. I originally had a…read moreconsultation set up for Saturday (and had scheduled my day around making sure to be at my house during the scheduled time), and was called 1 hour ahead of the appointment to be told that Greg would not be able to make it on time. I understand that delays happen and wasn't super broken up about it, so I called the offices and had the appointment rescheduled for 3:30 on Sunday. Come Sunday, Greg calls to confirm the appointment. We confirmed that the appointment was made for 3:30, but I had a flexible schedule so I let him know that if later works for him then we could meet at that time, though the 3:30 time would also work if he preferred. He suggested meeting at 4, which was completely agreeable to me. Indeed, at 4 he came by and said hello while I was speaking with my tenants out front. The conversation was to inform them about a worker who would be replacing the locks in their apartment and to nail down some leasing details, so I told Greg I would meet him in the back yard shortly. At 4:05 (according to my phone), I went to the back and Greg was nowhere to be found. I circled the property looking, to no avail. At this point (approximately 4:07) I called his cell, and he very curtly informed me that I "made a mistake by making him wait", and to "not call the company ever again". In Summary: American Landscaping cancelled the initial consultation session for the originally scheduled day, was allotted another 30 minute extension for the rescheduled appointment, and then drove off without a word when I had the audacity to take 5 minutes to complete a conversation with my tenants. This behavior is confusingly unprofessional.
