Ryan has been an absolute joy to work with! Corey (his "right hand" is fabulous, as well!)…read more My realtor referred me to Ryan to help with the purchase of a FSBO. There were some complicated hoops to jump through considering a recent divorce and the property being part of a recently deceased person's estate... Ryan was always readily available - he guided me through each-and-every step of the process. The contract-to-closing time was quite short and limited... without hesitation, Ryan made it happen. Despite my abundance of ridiculous questions, he was always super fast to reply and never once made me feel anything less than his #1 client. Words cannot express how impressed I am with Ryan and Sierra Pacific Mortgage... each step of this was absolutely painless... I would go as far to say that this purchasing experience was "enjoyable", all thanks to Ryan and his team. In the future, Ryan and Corey will be my automatic "go-to" for any and all mortgage needs. Look no further... this team is the best that the mortgage world could ever offer!!!

Don't trust this guy or the company he works for.

Hands-down the absolute best mortgage company that I've ever worked with!…read more I was referred to Sierra Pacific this past March. Ryan Underwood and his team did a fantastic job making the mortgage happen quickly, as well as the closing. So pleased! Plans changed in life and I decided to stay in KC long-term. House shopping again! Found a great home and got contract with a super-fast closing date. Lots of hoops to jump through but again, Ryan and his team absolutely came through again! Ryan is an excellent communicator balancing both email and phone communications excellently. He keeps you updated as to the status of your progress and never calls with an issue unless he has an answer. Couldn't be happier - Ryan and Sierra Pacific have been awesome all around! If you've decided to use Sierra Pacific for your mortgage needs, you've come to the right place... you won't be disappointed!!!!

I was very disappointed! I contacted Sierra Pacific Mortgage through their website to begin my Home…read moreRefinance and it took them over a week to contact me, I had to send an email to see if someone got my first communication before I heard back. Then the mortgage lender that they teamed me up with was not responsive at all! When I would call he would say can I call you back in 15 min and I would not hear back for several days, this did not just happen 1 or 2 times, but several. We started the process in late November, we caused it to not really go anywhere until early to mid-December, because of something we were waiting on, however after that I immediately responded to everything the lender needed, while some of the documents took me a couple days, I worked as quickly as I could. Yet by January 20th we still had made almost no progress, and the last time we talked he said "when we get off the phone I will email you documents to sign." I waited a week and a half sending 2 emails in that time to him with no response from him, not even a simple "I am sorry, I got your email, I am working on it or, something has happened and I will have the documents to you as soon as I can." Just silence!!!! So, after that we switched companies and went with American Financing and in 1 day we were further in the process than in the month that we were with Sierra Pacific Mortgage! I am not saying the name of the Mortgage lender because I believe that Sierra Pacific Mortgage first started out incorrectly by not responding well, when it took over a week to contact me, and I think they should have better oversight of their lenders. Maybe, he did not feel like he was going to make very much on the small refinance of my house, which the loan is not that large. Maybe he was just to busy to keep up with everything he has going on or maybe he has a lot of personal stuff going on right now. I don't know the issue for him not doing his job well, that is why I believe Sierra Pacific Mortgage in my opinion should shoulder the majority of the responsibility.

This company is very troubling. So many good reviews on LendingTree and Bankrate. It seems the loan…read morerep has everything to do with the customer experience. Sadly, this type of inconsistency is usually reflective of management issues. We started a refinance process. Our rep was Luke Baker. After receiving the initial email with checklist of items needed from us, we began to collect and submit the documents. The email also said we would receive an electronic signature link to start the process, it never came. We emailed, called, and messaged the rep over two days with only one reply to start the process but never to answer our questions. The email said we had 24 hours to complete the document submission process. We were concerned since we did not receive a response from Mr. Baker. Finally on Friday afternoon we tried sending text messages to Mr. Baker's cellphone. It took several minutes but he finally replied. He stated he was out of the office. This was to a message sent at 4:11pm CST. I asked if there was someone else that could help us. He said that there is "no one." That we had all week to do this and it was now Friday afternoon. I was extremely disappointed with this level of customer service. I decided that I would not do business with this company as the rep, Luke Baker, was so unprofessional. He wasted two business days and our time. Like Baker lost a client and gained negative reviews on multiple platforms for his company. His communication skills are terrible. Never returned my phone calls. Never answered my questions on email. His text message was rude and condescending. His final communication was that he was withdrawing our application as he felt we got off on the wrong foot. Great job at losing business for First Mortgage Solutions. We currently are reaching out to Mr. Ryan Wiebe, CEO to share this story.

WORST EXPERIENCE OF MY LIFE. DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. THEY WILL DECEIVE YOU INTO THINKING YOU…read moreARE GETTING A GOOD RATE AND THEN COMPLETELY SCAM YOU INTO ULTIMATELY PAYING MORE THAN ANY OTHER MORTGAGE COMPANY ONCE IT'S TOO LATE TO SWITCH. If I could give negative stars I would. My family lost $40k to this scam of a company. They started off super responsive and nice and kept saying everything is on track for closing. Then after 2 weeks I stopped receiving updates, got no responses to any of my emails and could not get a hold of anyone. I had to continue pestering them until I finally got a response where they said everything was on track for closing. THEN 2 days before closing they suddenly said that they could not close on time, lied to us about some missing tax documents that wouldn't come in on time and said we needed to change our loan type completely, pay $30k more for the down payment AND pay $15k in points in order to keep our rate that we had LOCKED IN. We had no other choice but to proceed in order to keep our house since the seller wasn't budging on moving the closing date. I ended up having to take out a loan from friends in order to pay for this loan, which was ridiculous. Then one day after closing, the lender called me back to "make amends" and said that they had ACTUALLY GOTTEN A WAIVER ON THE TAX TRANSCRIPT so we could've kept the original loan (??) but that the change to a different loan type (and decision to pay $40k more) was OUR DECISION? I've never seen something so infuriating in my life and I am so utterly regretful that I had picked this company for our mortgage. Not only were there countless nights of stress and insomnia due to this situation, we lost a lot of money that we were planning to spend on renovations and now I'm also have more debt I need to pay off from borrowing for the down payment. I've seen other reviews similar to mine about this company, so I'm almost positive most of their "positive" reviews are fake reviews that they bought off the internet. It's completely ridiculous.

Shelbi and her team are great! I'm a Realtor and have had experiences with many different lenders…read moreover my 13 years selling houses. I first met Shelbi when she helped my super savvy friend/client get a mortgage, and she did such a great job that I started giving her name out to clients. Shelbi has been great about explaining things clearly to me and multiple clients of mine that she has helped. When I was ready to upgrade my personal home, interest rates were rapidly increasing, but Shelbi somehow managed to get us an incredible rate. The entire process was smooth and closing was a breeze, as have been the experiences of my clients who have worked with Shelbi. I highly recommend reaching out to Shelbi for anyone looking to buy or refi, especially in this crazy time.

While the field appraisal that caused issues in our closing was out of Shelbi's control, how she handled the situation after, was. We, her customer, didn't even know a field appraisal had been done nor that it had caused an issue with our closing until right before 5:00 p.m. ON CLOSING DAY - even though she had known of the trouble a couple of hours prior.  While she did try and get a hold of our realtor OVER an hour after having the information and was unable to reach him - We should have been called next and were not. Actually, we should have been called as soon as she was aware that there was a problem - before trying to find a solution. After all, we were her clients, not our realtor. We defaulted on our contract because she waited until 5:00 p.m. to let us know. We may have defaulted anyway, but her lack of communication robbed us of the chance to work something out with the sellers prior to defaulting. We ended up losing the house and our earnest money! Her true character showed during the most stressful time. We had to scramble to find another home.  She did offer to file a formal complaint to try and get our appraisal fee back. But here we sit nearly 4 months later and have not heard a peep from her....despite sending a follow-up email to her on Nov 5th ( 11 days ago) asking what the results of the investigation was. It's easy to be perceived as great when all things are going well, but it's who you are and what you do when the situation goes awry that really matters. She lacks professionalism and I couldn't recommend her to my worst enemy.
