I was on the hunt for a used truck. Came across a few that I was interested in on the Facebook…read moremarketplace that their salesman, Mark Mcnease had posted. Their dealership was three hours away, so I did all of my looking and research through pictures, video and FaceTime with Mark. He test drove the trucks for me, gave me feedback on everything that I wanted to see and hear, and even helped guide me to what he believed was the better choice of vehicles that I was looking for. Best used car experience I've had in my entire life, and I've had over 40 vehicles. We made a fair deal on the car and they delivered it! They had a driver bring it to me from three hours away. The truck was spotless when it arrived and it was everything I hoped for AND more. After driving for a few days, I noticed that the rear wheels were making a screeching noise. I took it to a local dealer to discover that whoever installed the brake pads had put the clips on incorrectly, and they were scraping against the rotors. It cost me $400 to have those brake pads replaced. I called Mark to let him know that whoever did the brakes on the vehicle, installed the clips incorrectly. He informed me that he thought the dealership had replaced those as part of their inspection process, but he needed to confirm that. I got a text message from him a couple of days later that it was their fault and the dealership would be sending me a check for the cost of having to replace those brake pads. The dealership followed through on that! I know I've rambled on a bit, but this has been the best dealership I've ever done business with, and I think it all needs to be said. I will definitely buy from them again. You can trust that you will get a good vehicle, and trust that they will stand behind their vehicles. I recommend you talk to Mark!

Everything on the lot comes with a 90 day warranty. And if you have bring your vehicle back, you will literally jump through 12 hoops to get them to fix it. Our truck would just die on us, going down the road. Pulling out from a stop sign, or turning onto a new road. We had to have it towed. Another time, Guthrie's had to come get it, tow it from our yard, it just broke down on me again, on 82 in Pearson. They are gonna tow it to their sho, where a bandaid will be placed on it AGAIN. I ask Jerry, a very rude owner, (who has acts like he only wants money and you aren't worth his time from day one), if they could give me a loaner vehicle for today, as I have 3 Dr appointments. He said no, we don't do that. So, they have my downpayment, they've gotten my monthly payments over these 90 days, and although it's going to the shopand being looked at for the the 7th time, IN 90 DAYS, I am without a vehicle. Last week, I came in, and told them, I'm done with this junk, put me in something different, my 90 days isn't up. CHAD, the salesman, showed me a Toyota 4 runner. It would not crank at first. When it finally did, I test drove it. I ask Chad the payments he ask what I paid now, he said the same. He ask me how much money did I have in my bank. Then he tells me I will need another $1500 down, on top of what we have in the truck ($3700 total for the Toyota downpayment)!!! I ask him about 2 other cars on the lot, he said one was sold, (it's still sitting here), and the other was junk, and I'd be getting into the same situation im in now, (silver jeep liberty). The same day I had a friend call gutheries, she spoke to Chad, and ,inquired about the SAME Toyota. He told her $2500 down, and they can work with you on your monthly payments. I'm $3700 out of pocket and still no vehicle, and asking folks for a ride.. ive got all convos recorded, between Jerry and I, Chad and i, and Jennifer and i, plus, pictures, videos, and notes. These do not care about you, they only want your money, and once they get it, you are on your own. Be careful folks. They will rob you and screw you while laughing and smiling.

The vehicles they get are definitely garbage and yes Jerry is a manipulator he knows the cars are a ridiculous piece of junk and he still has the potential to keep a customer in it. I've never went to a car lot to test drive a vehicle and it wouldn't start. I have never seen business people this deceptive they'll gladly tow your car in and hold it for a few days and when you get it back the problem is still existing, I took a loss with Guthrie motors but it'll never happen again, if you need a dependable vehicle that is not trashed out or look like garbage before you put your hard earned money down go to South Central truck sales, Davids, or Automart. The car that I bought was conveniently fine until the window when I could bring it back closed. I bought the car in September, it started acting funny late November, then December I had to take it to a mechanic for $380, mind you I couldn't drive it for at least 2 weeks because the starter was messed up. After that my car was down another 2 weeks because we figured out the transmission needed a flushing, now I have to keep buying fluid because the transmission has a leak. Now they're threatening to repo my car because they messed up with the payment extraction. I sent the lady photographical evidence that their system made the mistake by not taking the payment when the money was there, it never showed up as an attempted debit withdrawal on my account, and her response with a rude tone was "No, absolutely not, you've only made 5 payments; we are not about to start getting behind". Her attitude is nasty, she was rude to me all the way up until it was time for me to purchase the vehicle. I gathered she's nice when payments come in, she's rude when she thinks you don't have the money. Just ugly on the inside and out. Regarding the payment system I mentioned previously, I signed up for auto payments, and it didn't take. That thing called me when she wanted my new insurance, but didn't call when the payment wasn't received...weird. This place seems like a lemon lot, DO NOT buy from here. The moment I can, I'm going to give them their beater back. Keep saving your money and go to a real dealership. The amount of money that I had to put into this car, and still have to because the transmission leak ain't fixed, I could've got a brand new car.
