On my first visit, I was seen for less than five minutes for my eczema, in that time he took one look at me and prescribed me three medications, leaving out side effects, how they work, and what I should expect. As a result, I suffered from photosensitivity from doxycycline and some other strange effects to my skin. If I had know these were common issues, I wouldn't have been so mad! Frustrated by this, I went in to my second appointment with low expectations, and I explained to the nurse- who checked me in- my issues. She told him before I got the chance and Jeffrey Van Troba came into my room and attacked me. He did not let me speak or hear my story. He spoke over me. Saying that he was "sorry if I had something else going on in my head" and "didn't listen when I told you the side effects." He tried to tell me I didn't know what I was talking about, and completely invalidated all of my concerns. I will grant, the supervisor called me after the appointment and apologized sincerely. I was grateful she called me although it wasn't her fault, but I cannot recommend this business or Jeffrey Van Troba. I would rather drive to Seattle (2.5 hrs instead of 30 min) any day.

To top it off, they also kept losing my payment information and billed me three times. Each time I sent my credit card info, put a stamp on it and mailed from the post office. They kept saying they didn't get it. If there is another dermatology place in Yakima, go there. From the other reviews I am seeing here, I am not the only one who has had a bad experience.

She did not go over aftercare instructions thoroughly either and I felt like I was looked at strangely just because I asked questions. I should have gone with my gut about this place and walked away. Thank God I wasn't burned severely but I do have white scars now that may never go away. Please do your research and ask to see before and after pictures of previous clients. I wish I would have. :(
