My teeth are very strong and I never have bloody gums or any other issues. I brush twice a day and floss every night before bed. My first visit, they took about a hundred x-rays (excessive), and the dentist did an exam, explained to me she was going to do a cleaning. She then went over the cost of different options and I told her I just wanted a cleaning because that's what my insurance would cover. She did the cleaning and they wanted me to come in a MONTH later for another cleaning (which my insurance doesn't cover). I told them I wouldn't be doing that. I then received a bill in the mail for $120. When calling to complain, they told me they didn't submit it to my insurance. So if I hand't called to complain, I would've been out $120. 6 months later, they called to tell me I was due for my 6 month cleaning (which my insurance covers), so I moved forward with scheduling the appointment. After receiving the date of the appointment I verbally confirmed I was just going to receive a basic cleaning. Lisa then told me a list of things the doctor would need to do. I explained that going to the dentist often feels like going to purchase a used car. All the add-ons and upsells are ridiculous. She interrupted me while I was speaking to further justify the services she previously listed. I waited until she finished and she asked me if I wanted to keep the appointment. I told her to just cancel it and as I was explaining why, she began talking over me and then hung up on me. Real great customer service - NOT. Dealing with a snotty receptionist whilst trying to get a dental appointment is not great service. Nice modern office, but don't charge your customers for unnecessary procedures just to subsidize your decor. And maybe don't put snotty people on your phones when dealing with patients.

I had 2 nurses on both sides of me holding my hands and comforting me. One of the nurses (I cannot remember her name. She has pretty reddish hair) took care of me like she was my mother. The shots didn't even hurt. They numb you before they even do the shots. The dentist takes his time and makes sure you are comfortable and are completely aware of what is happening. I had to have a very painful tooth extraction, and not only was she explain everything and why I was in pain and what needed done, but did absolutely everything you'd want from a dentist in order to make sure I was okay while the tooth was being extracted as well as post care and talking with me about next steps, etc. My advice would be to go for yourself meet Dr. Iyer, and their staff and let your experience be your own. 1 STAR -- CHECK YOUR BILLS VERY CAREFULLY…read more I strongly recommend that anyone who has been a patient of Three Rivers Dental Group review their insurance EOBs and compare them to what this office actually charged you. Our out-of-pocket responsibility was supposed to be a little over $300. Instead, we were charged more than $1,400 -- an overcharge of more than $1,100. Getting our own money back has been an exhausting process. We made repeated phone calls, sent emails and messages, and spent more than a month trying to get this corrected and refunded. Only after numerous attempts to resolve the issue did they finally begin refunding the money. What concerns me even more is the explanation we received. The office acknowledged that the billing was incorrect and attempted to explain the more than $1,100 discrepancy by saying reimbursement amounts had been entered incorrectly. How does an error of that magnitude occur, result in a patient being charged over $1,400 when they owed roughly $300, and then take more than a month of persistent follow-up to correct? This experience has completely destroyed my trust in this practice and its billing procedures. I am now pursuing formal complaints with the appropriate insurance and state regulatory authorities and consulting with an attorney regarding what occurred. If you are currently a patient or have been a patient here, please check your statements. Compare every charge with your insurance EOB and verify exactly what your patient responsibility should have been. Had we not reviewed ours closely and continued pushing for answers, I don't know when--or if--this discrepancy would have been corrected. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend Three Rivers Dental Group.

I have been going to Dr. Clopp for the past 4 years mainly because his office offers a yearly dental plan that includes 2 teeth cleanings and also discounts on other routine dental work. The total out of pocket costs are much more reasonable compared to getting a full blown dental insurance from my employer.
