Jim was here by 9:30, double checked the water heater and recommended changing it out. It is 10 years old, full of sediment and had just started leaking. Here it is 11am and I have a new water heater and Jim just left with old one. It was still draining a reddish sludge. Oh boy, hot showers coming up!!

Today, December 21, we find out they violated some rules with a gas line and it has to be dug up again. Riley-Armstrong used a vac truck to suck up leaking sewage and splattered it on our newly painted house. We called to find out who their insurance is and were told our lawyer would have to call their lawyer. We are currently making a complaint to the city of Fort Dodge .

They rarely answer their phone, and when they do, they OVER promise what they can do and when they can do it. I rarely give reviews online, but here we go: At first they said they could give me a quote the next day after looking at my home renovation project and said they could do the job in a week or 2. Great, right? The quote turned into a month and then they finally told me it's going to be too expensive, they don't want the job, and to find someone else. THANKS FOR A WASTE OF MY TIME! Do not go to England Contracting in Iowa Falls, IA unless you want to be hung on a string for a month, then them back out. Talk about time value of money people! This estimate does not take long! You could have had my $15,000 if you just called me back to let me know when I should be receiving a quote! I am not the only one having this problem... my neighbor has been waiting a quote for 7 months! How are these people still in business?! We were arriving on Sunday and moving Tuesday morning. My mom has called a few times from the east coast and had general information. Damon came to us on Sunday and went over things with her so she understood what would be happening and pricing. On Monday 2 very professional looking gents arrived and in a few short hours helped us pack up a TON of stuff. Everything was wrapped and packed better then I would have been able to in such a short time. We had so many boxes around in a small area it was hard to move and keep packing. They also were able to help take some things off the walls as we had no tools in the place. Damon called later that afternoon to ensure we were ready to go as we could be and see if there was anything we needed more help with. I thought that was great and never have I had that type of service before. Tuesday morning they arrived at 8AM on the dot. The 2 men that were to come and pack the truck arrived as well as Damon and Mr. Adams to help get the truck packed. I could not believe how quickly that had everything done. In the space of less then an hour they had the entire apartment cleared out and packed in the truck. Everything was handled with the utmost care and kindness. They even brought special packing materials to ensure that a very old grandfather clock was moved with out incident. It was very nice to see our family history being cared for so delicately. They knew we were short on time and help to get the little bit of garbage left in the apartment bagged up so I could get it to the dumpster before we left. We made the 2 hour drive and the same amount of care that was taken to load was taken while unloading and putting into our storage unit. They were careful to make sure to keep certain things in the places we wanted them so they could be accessed when needed for grandmother's new residence. I would recommend them again and again to anyone who asks. I wish they had been here in Denver when I needed movers as I have several times over the years. Thank you Damon, Jerry, Blake and Mr. Adams for your help. Tip: Make sure you keep your garbage bags out; you may need them to clean up after all your stuff is moved out. Can't use then if they are packed!
