I…read morenipped in there on my last visit for a brief look around, have a quick scan of their prices and such, and was fairly happy with what I saw. They seemed to have a few good deals on their computer accessories, with some fairly decent speaker sets at £50 roughly. The printer ink was really quite cheap, something of a godsend, since I know that it costs so much more in places like PC World and such. They had tons of things like keyboards, monitors, usb sticks and more - enough bits and bobs to satisfy any basic computer need. The chap in there became really friendly the more I browsed, asking twice if there was anything in particular that I wanted - to which I patiently responded both times "No thanks, just browsing." I know what it's like, having worked in sales, so I don't mind being asked. I stopped to browse over a mini laptop which retailed at £229, it was a PC which I don't really do, but my boyfriend's Grandma really needs one so I wanted to see what kind of budget we would be talking about. I guess that's not a bad price, but I didn't really check the spec so to speak so can't really be more particular than that I'm afraid. Essentially it seems that this is a handy little shop for any sort of accessories, certainly the staff are friendly, and perhaps worth comparing prices over their larger pieces of equipment!

I've just returned from Clockwork where the team have fixed the casing on my macbook, they booked the job in seamlessly, sent me a link where I could monitor the process and got in touch with me in less than 24 hours to tell me the job was complete. They're authorised apple resellers as well as authorised technicians and if you've got a mac problem or query, you should call these guys!

Clockwork reverse engineered and cleanup the legacy code in a couple of weeks which hugely sped up the system. They also designed a more modern interface which reflects our corporate branding. We have since commissioned them to add new features many of which were suggested by Clockwork. We are now confident we have found a partner to take the system forward.

I am very happy with the services they have provided. Most recently they serviced my computer because it was overheating and powering off, meaning they have taken it completely apart, cleaned all the dust out and repasted the chips, then fit it all back together, all for £20. It is now working perfectly.

My machine is quite old (over 10 years) but because of the upgrades it can still handle playing HD YouTube videos and iplayer without any jitters. It is the company's philosophy to make the best possible machine rather than forcing customers to buy a completely new one, thus recycling rather than tipping, so it ends up in say India where children are forced to extract the precious metals at risk to themselves from the toxic fumes that can kill. I had to goto a back Street mailbox company to leave it, I should have known better and should have been a warning alarm bell.. I got no receipt to start with an had to wait a week before I had to ring the rude man, he finally gave me a price that was acceptable. Two weeks - nothing - phoned again and told price had doubled and parts still on order.. I reluctantly agreed but 6 weeks on had to take to task, price has gone up again and was MORE than the original cost of the actual device which was only 2 1/2 years old. I said to him and it back to the shop and he said I could collect it on a week but would have to pay £129 for his time?!? I left the thing there and bought a new ipad, an currently looking at legal advice. Beware before you use. Not F good *%+#

The staff where very polite and helpful, unlike some shops I could name. They told me what the problem was within minutes. The staff explained it simply in a way I understood without all the techno-bable. I was able to leave it will them and collect about 90 minutes later as good as new. Next time I have any problems on my computers or phones I will be paying a visit to the computer assistant. I would definately recommend if you live or work in or near Leeds.
