The girls in the office get paperwork out fast and everything usually works pretty seamlessly. I know there are cheaper insurance companies, but I don't want a cheap insurance company, I want a quality insurance company, and an agent I enjoy working with. Our homeowners insurance policy with Mercury lapsed, and we were never notified--neither by our broker nor by the insurance company. We only discovered the issue a full year later when our mortgage company contacted us. Being left uninsured without any notice is unacceptable and could have had serious financial consequences. After decades of loyalty, I expected at the very least basic communication and oversight. Unfortunately, this experience has completely eroded our trust. I would strongly advise others to closely monitor their own policies if working with this broker, as we received no support or notification when it mattered most.

My experience with First American Title Company resulted in a direct financial loss…read more A property tax bill had already been issued before closing and was clearly accounted for in my settlement statement. Despite this, it was not paid through escrow, and I was not clearly instructed to pay it. I later received a delinquent tax bill with nearly $1,000 in penalties. The closing documents were also unclear and misleading, making it difficult to understand how credits were applied and what remained outstanding. This reflects poor handling of a known obligation, lack of transparency, and inadequate communication; issues that should not occur in a properly managed closing. I would strongly caution others not to assume critical items are being handled, even if they appear in the paperwork.

Bad customer service. This is going to hurt this business if this goes on any longer. they need to let her go. It's bad for business. I believe in being safe but she was way overboard. Then when we stepped outside to cool down after that interaction she went outside to try to stare us down as we were sitting in the car. There's no need for that kind of discriminatory behavior. Neither my husband nor I recall this information, and given it was a month before taxes were due, and we had gotten the organizer, we expected Joel to do our taxes.
