Her office sent me a refund check because I over paid and since I was in the process of moving out of state apparently by the time I tried to cash the check her office had issued a stop payment on it. The check she sent me bounced and I was charged a stop payment fee. When I called in, one of her reps apologized for the mistake and told me that I should be receiving another check. That check never came and when I called to follow up, Daria gave me an earful. Not only did she leave me a VM with a condensing, terrible attitude but she also emailed me a very lengthy email with the same horrible attitude. She even insinuated that I was trying to be "slick" and cash a check that I knew had a stop payment on it. REALLY?!! Why the hell would I do that?? I had no idea that their was a stop payment on there DUH, otherwise I wouldn't of tried to deposit your bogus check. She even went as far as to tell me that "no one told me to deposit the check" and that "you should of called us first". Excuse me?? That is not my responsibility. Especially when your office told me to keep an eye out for the check to begin with!! I called corporate and they actually told me that I over paid by 3 + months since we moved in July and had made payments until October. I had it on autopay and during the madness of a cross-country move I had forgotten to stop the draft once we moved. When I had initially called to request the bank draft be stopped, an associate Mike told me that he could stop the future draft and request a refund for the over-pay. SO... Newsflash Daria, State farm actually owes me more money back while you are trying to make it seem like I am trying to steal their money lol smh! What a joke. Accusing your clients of being crooks is no way to do business. The sad part is that she is the agent and the people under her have been kinder, and more respectful that her. I would stay clear of Daria if I were you, apparently she has an evil twin that can come out at any time.

We also recently got a new car and sold the old one to my sister and she was able to tell us the best way to proceed with switching coverage quickly and efficiently. I can't recommend Daria and her team highly enough.

I have had this insurance for my vehicles for 10…read moremonths. up until I decided to use auto pay to make my monthly premiums I didn't have customer service issues. Once i enrolled in the autopay program, disaster struck. This problem isn't unique to just this location, I have had horrible experiences with several locations. After the first month of autopay, they had claimed I canceled my policy which wasnt true because they would have needed a signature to do so. Also, when adding a second car to my policy I was given an original quote, and then after making a payment was told I owed more money and that the original quote was wrong. It took me several phone calls that I had to initiate and no one ever returned my messages. I was given the run around. After 2 months of there irresponsible service i signed up with a different insurance company and canceled my policy with illinois vehicle in person, signing and dating documents, low and behold 1 day later they took out a payment from my checking account! I have tried calling differnet locations several times only to be hung up on. I ask myself if this is the treatment i get, just to make my monthly payments on time, what kind of issues am I going to have if I ever need to make a claim? well, i'm not sticking around long enough to find out, the rates were cheaper then the national, bigger companies but i will not give my money to a company that treats their customers like crap.

I was hit by someone who has Unique insurance while I was sitting at a red light. I received my payment today from Unique insurance. I had a lovely claims adjuster, Lorna, who took my calls and helped me every step of the way. While it took a month to receive the check, it did come. I wanted to write this so others who come to yelp to read about Unique insurance don't lose hope.

    I read some new complaints about unique and here is some tips…read more Call them and select underwriting, accounts receivable etc to speak too. When they answer, tell them you want to talk to ________. Tell them you will continue to call the unlucky person you selected until satisfied. It worked. Illinois is a state that a driver not at fault can be assigned a percentage of fault. I will call term contributory negligence. They use this to reduce their already low ball claim. In the future get the cop to write them a ticket if they are at fault. Get a legitimate claim from a reputable body shop. Demand their estimator visit you to write a claim. I was able to find where the junkyard parts were coming from and called them on the damaged replacement part by calling the junkyard. Do not allow them to pick a repair shop. Call the Illinois department of insurance and ask to speak with head. You will not be able to speak with the political appointee but give her deputy an ear full. I also called governor fat boy office and gave them an earful too. They do not care about us, they are democrats.

Ours was one of the countless homes to get hit w basement flooding this past weekend. We had reached out to Frank in the wee hours of Friday AM as the basement filled w water. We were confirming coverage and to let him know what was going on. We had an email back from frank personally before 6am on Friday and he was at our home before 9am to walk thru and give guidance. He put calls into two remediation companies while on site and was in touch all day. He came back later Friday afternoon after visiting other affected clients (Mask and all!) to check on us and the situation. We can only control what we can and as we were focused on our home and family, Frank was helping w the rest. I can't say enough about the proactive assistance, genuine care/interest and his follow up here to make sure that we had what we needed. We have check in hand and are putting things back together. If you're not working with Frank give him a look. It's a no brainer. Second to none service and attention.
