We were rear ended by someone who has this insurance (which we found out is an agency and they transferred us to United equitable) and all 5 of us have whiplash and united equitable said we would have to wait after the holiday to get someone to look at our car, which is 4 days from now. This also would mean we would be stuck with no car for the holidays. They didn't seem to care much so we hung up and had to go through our insurance (progressive) and pay our deductible even though it was not our fault. We will try to recoup that $500 but know it will be a fight. This is ridiculous. read more

I appreciated Insure on the Spot for the time I had it. I only had liability on my 2 vehicles. I had an accident which was not my fault. I have had no issues with the accident part. Yet, I got another vehicle and wanted full coverage and I wanted full coverage on all 3. For the vehicle they could not do full coverage, they quoted me a ridiculous price. I immediately got full coverage from another insurance company so I would not run the risk of not having insurance. I was forced to pay a renewal fee after I completed my SR22 program. I proved I completed the program with a letter from the state. Was told I would get a tefund for my renewal fee. They are just a bunch of scammers that go beyond the Insurance rules. I had an issue with my policy. My 6months premium was $414. I paid half of my premium on the renewal day on July 17th 2025, $211. On August 17th 2025 they were asking another payment if not they would cancel my policy from August 27th. By Law, I have my insurance covered for 3months, I get a cancellation letter with no Pro Rata return for the premium paid. Now Thursday to reinstate my policy, they are asking $149. I will pay it, but I will go directly to https://idoi.illinois.gov/producers/illinois-insurance-laws-and-regulations.html and file a claim against them. I am a licensed agent for Illinois and Arizona, so I know what I am talking about and I will bring them to court for illegal practice and insurance and financial fraud. They passed me to a call center in the Philippines that tried to solve the issue when she cannot by law, since they are not a license insurance agent. All Illegal! My Mastercard information was shared by her to someone in Oswego, Illinois who went shopping online at Walmart and spent over $600 of my disability/ retirement funds! It was very easy to get the insurance and I'm very appreciative especially since dealing with the state is frustrating. But God forbid when you're ready to cancel. I sent the paperwork but then the first red flag was that I had to call back in 15 minutes to confirm they received it. I did, in fact I called back 3 times but I'm at work and I can't sit on hold for 15 minutes. I called back 2 more times and still had to hang up after 15 minutes. Then they started to call to get my payment. Every single day. For two weeks after they confirmed they received my cancellation they continue to call. After I explain everything yet again they're like, oh yeah I see it, sorry. Then the next day I get another call and explain it again. The lady today said oh it takes awhile. Ok yeah 24, 48 even 72 hours make sense. But two weeks?! No. Now I've blocked any of their numbers. read more

I have been dealing with this company since 2/24 for a claim to be processed. It is now 3/20! I keep getting told (after being on hold for 20 min) that the review process should be complete by end of the day. I am on hold up to 13 min for them to 'review the notes'. UPDATE (4/19/2024): I STILL didn't get my car fixed from American Alliance. I was told that I would get to choose the repair shop to take it. I wasn't given the option. They were going to send it to a repair shop they decided on. I looked up the reviews for this shop. The reviews were TERRIBLE! Nothing but others complaining of the work and time frame. There wasn't a single positive review. I got the quote of damages and they listed cloth seats and the car has leather. That was how I learned of the repair shop name and told them the report was wrong and also that I didn't want to use the repair shop. They said it was the only shop. I wasn't told that. I got denied for repairs. I had to pick up my vehicle in East Dundee, IL and it was another 167.50 to get the car. I was told that it is because the claim was denied. I had to pay cash to avoid being charged 10% more for using a card - LAME. I am in the process of talking to a lawler because of this RIP OFF. They could of done SOMETHING since I was paying FULL COVERAGE for a year. They said nothing they can do on local level. I also emailed the corporate offices and to this day nothing from them.
