We were new to NC (November) and went to Allstate for Auto Insurance. At the time that we signed up…read moreAmy seemed nice and she seemed very knowledgeable. We provided her with our lease agreement and then went and got our Driver's License and Bank accounts set up. We then went back to Allstate and provided her with both DL's and the bank account info for auto payments. Then about a month later (December) we received notice by mail stating possible termination so we called Amy and she stated we need to provide Driver's Licenses to her. So I went the next day and gave her our Drivers Licenses once again. She stated at that time that this was all she needed and that we are good to go. We found out this past weekend (reviewing bank statements) that our Auto Insurance had been terminated back in December. We called Amy but it went to Customer service (after hours) and they stated that it was terminated because we did not provide proof of residency (driver's licenses). We explained that we provided lease agreement and DLs twice to Amy. Customer service then told us that there is nothing that they can do to correct an agent's mistake and that we should have called during business hours. If we would have known during business hours we would have called during business hours. We also emailed Amy to ask her what happened but still have not heard anything back from her. We had to have auto insurance and since Allstate screwed us we were not going to stay with them so of course we went elsewhere. It is just a good thing that we did not have an accident or get pulled over.
