When I have a question or concern about my policy or anything related, she promptly responds to my inquiries. When it was time to review my policy, she met with me after business hours and close to my home to make it convenient for me. On a recent trip, I was in the middle of renting a car and they needed my auto insurance information. I texted Karla and within minutes I had the information they requested. Recently I had a dent fixed on my SUV, my own fault, she let me know what I needed to do and let me know what to expect. She trully made the process painless and the Farmers' adjusters and everyone else made the whole experience go as smoothly as possible.

Ugh. I have/had them for my secondary dental plan with my job. I racked up over $4000 in needed…read moredental work outside of what my primary plan would pay - at 100% (e.g., crown, implant, bitewing radiographs, periodontal maintenance, fillings, evaluation, etc), This plan tries to slow you down, asking for stuff like, "please resend as a pdf and not an image." (It's a letter from my dentist so why does it have to be a pdf?" Anyway... that is just one of many slow downs. Then they need time to review. I was afraid I was going to run their clock out and nothing would be covered. When it was all said and done with multiple and multiple resends and wait time, they approved $200. So what in the world DO you even approve? I spent more on the monthly premiums than this.

They callously said my procedure was not necessary, yet my gums were bleeding and in pain. Very callous words from company, and quite offensive to say my procedure was unnecessary. They are no help when you call in as well. I pay monthly, which clearly is just a waste of money. Their claims review board is a joke and it seems like there may be age discrimination. My dentist office said this has happened before, they cant understand how this would not be covered, and they are considering dropping them as well.

After their passing, we promptly submitted all required documentation for the beneficiary claims, including death certificates and claim paperwork. What should have been a straightforward process has instead turned into a prolonged and stressful ordeal. Communication has been slow and unclear, and the claim process has involved repeated delays and requests for additional information with little explanation of why the payouts cannot be completed. Families dealing with the loss of loved ones should not have to chase down a financial company for benefits that were specifically intended to help them during a difficult time. Unfortunately, our experience has made an already emotional situation even more stressful. Based on what we have experienced, I would strongly advise anyone considering doing business with EquiTrust to carefully research how their beneficiary claims are handled. How a company treats families after a policyholder passes away says a lot about their values, and our experience has raised serious concerns.
