Negative stars for this experience!!!! This place is filthy. Dust everywhere...grungy doors... hope the tools were clean. Waited the five minutes I was told...then more...then I guess they rushed because next: The top of my foot got scalded because the nail tech didn't pay attention to what she was doing setting up the tub. TV blaring a soap opera and commercials -which they turned off when requested. Then, the only sound was of other people's toenails getting clipped and the political speech the guy in front was watching. Sound good to you? This was far, far, far, from a relaxing spa like experience- the tech even told me I looked tired! The other tech had to redo my nails because they looked awful...I even said during the first coating..."that polish looks really thick". Charged full price for that kind of customer care? Front guy refused any type of compensation on payment. Shame on you...terrible customer service. read more

They did a horrible job. Didn't use clean tools. Ice cold bath for the foot. Used straight acetone as a soaker for my hands... hand me place my entire hand in their so he could watch football instead of cleaning my nail polish off correctly. They spent less than five minutes on my pedicure and charged me $40. I had gel nail polish on my toes and they ripped the gel off. worst experience ever. read more

When I walked in the lady who greeted me was immediately rude. She looked at the picture of the nails I wanted and said they couldn't do them to just pick a color. The nails I wanted were green tips with a simple 4 leaf clover. She put me with another lady who said the male nail tech could do the design. She began drilling my nails and cut me several times. She also was very rude. My green tips are all different shapes and none of them are the same. She then put me with the male tech who did my 4 leaf clover. He was the only person in the nail salon who was friendly and did what I asked. If I ever go back which isn't likely I would only go to him. Now I know why there wasn't anyone waiting when I got there. Very disappointed to pay $60 for a fill with crappy work. read more

Clean and professional, but shotty work. My mom and I came in and I appreciate the steps they take to prevent the spread. Their pedicyrists did not shape our nails, and even left my mom with some crooked nails. The massage was sub-par, and their equipment was not sterilized between use. Instyle Nails is absolutely fantastic! I have gone to their salon about five times now for nails and pedicures. The entire staff is friendly and talented, and the wait time is short. The owner was a professional jewelry maker before he became a nail technician, and every time he does my nails, they look like works of art! I especially love his stiletto shaping and tiger's eye gel polish. I get compliments every day! I am a ballroom dance teacher, and he always gives me beautiful nails to match my ballgowns for shows and competitions. The quality is extraordinary and the price is incredibly reasonable! When I first came to this place from LA the price was not LA price but the guy did good ahaping. However as time flew forward, one of the women took off a while part of my eye brow that's what I get for trying to cut time and not get my eyebrows threaded. Then I was like okay I'm gonna go for a polish ... No nails just mine and I brought my own polish. Usually places cost 5 bucks she says 7.51 for a paint job brought my own stuff ... I love everything about this place. Everybody was so kind and the space was so clean and they wiped down everything after a customer had left. I had gotten a full set of acrylic nails and the nail tech that I had did an amazing job. She would frequently ask me if I liked the shape length and color. My nails look amazing I'm so happy with them and the pricing is great. It is so much cheaper than a lot of places and they do an amazing job. Instyle Nails will now be my go to nail place. read more

I guess they've gotten a little better since the last review, but still a LONG WAY to go! I had a mani/pedi and it was ok, but not great. The staff was friendly and nice. Place did not reek of product when you walked in. Pros: -they have the nice massage chairs that could put you to sleep if they'd turn off Dr. Oz. -VERY inexpensive; $35 for mani & pedi; I figured out why (see below). -decent selection of colors, but bring your fave in case you're picky. Cons: -the guy that helped me was pretty uninterested in making it an experience. It was very "drive-thru" feeling. -when I went to move to the table for the manicure, I had to ASK for the little pedicure slippers??!! They looked at me like I was a total snob! They found two leftys for me and I had to put them on! This of course means I jacked up my big toe and old homeboy was not too happy to have to fix it. Other ladies were walking around barefoot - - NOT an option for me! -I went on Wednesday at 5ish; its Friday at 5:30pm and I am going to have to redo my nails since they are ALL chipped (I've never had that happen before!). read more

You get what you pay for. My sister & I went in for a pedicure on my lunch break. The staff was friendly and worked quickly because they knew we were short on time. The chairs were comfortable. The massage portion of the pedicure was short but effective. Nothing else was very nice. It does not appear the tools are not cleaned in between clients because she used the same ones on me and my sister. The foot scrubber pumice stone things had dirt marks in them and were worn down to almost nothing. She pulled out a razor and started to go to town on my heels but she didn't even ask first. I asked her to stop and she just put it down quickly and apologized. Another thing that was more then likely not clean. Pretty outdated decor and horrible tv on. We won't be going back but my nails are painted a nice shade of purple. read more

I have absolutely no idea why this place has such negative reviews. I have been a customer here for over ten years and have never had a problem of any kind! After I was a customer, my mom started coming here and taking my disabled aunt as well. They gently cut her fingernails and toenails because she can't do it on her own! I used to wear acrylics and they were always the perfect length. I never had difficulty with chipping and could go a month without need of a rebase. They pedicures are very reasonably priced. I've never had a problem with cleanliness or worry of infection! In fact, the only time I ever got a foot infection was from an upscale salon in town (which shall remain nameless!) that left me on antibiotics for two weeks and with a limp for my honeymoon and a call to the Health Department! The staff is always friendly and accommodating with or without appointments, but we try to make appointments, especially in the warmer months (they are always busy!) or with my aunt (time consuming!). Lots of colors. Up to date magazines, big TV, comfy massage chairs! I'd choose In Style over anywhere else! read more

I found this salon when I first moved to ABQ more than 7 years ago and have been with them ever since. They did manis, pedis and waxing for my entire wedding party and everyone was thrilled with the results. The stylists there are very professional, courteous and prompt and are experienced in a variety of beauty treatments. Not only do I love my nails after service but they also do a fabulous job waxing brows and lips. The pricing is super reasonable and they have one of the largest selections of nail styles I have ever seen. This salon ROCKS!! read more

I tried this place for the first time on a Saturday. When I left I was quite please with the atmosphere, location(close to home), and the new set of nails they put on. However, when I got home I realized, in better light, the nails were lifting badly, every one of them. I went back on Monday and showed the gentleman the problem and he said he would take care of the issue with a new set, no problem. I wasn't able to get them re-done that day, or for the next 11 days either due to my schedule but was finally able to get back in. He remembered me and took to the task at hand immediately. He took his time and with great precision got me all fixed up to my satisfaction. I highly recommend this establishment. read more

Hands down the worst pedi I've ever gotten. The place is not clean. After my feet soaked in the foot bath the woman rinsed it out but used nothing to sanitize it. I can assume the same was done prior to my feet going in to soak. I have a feeling they do not properly clean their tools either. When getting the massage on my feet, the woman barley applied pressure and seemed to be more concerned with what was going on on the tv behind her. Being new to town I wish I would have done my research before going here. I'm hoping I do not get some infection from this place. Do yourself a favor and do not visit here! read more

I tagged along w my sister to get a manicure. The lady who was soaking my hands had a customer right before me. When she proceeded to cut my cuticles I noticed some dead skin that was not mine. I told her to clean it before continuing to use it on me. She then carried on w a terrible attitude. She finished me up and I sat next to my sister who was getting gel. THIS MAN WHO IS GETTING READY TO PUT GEL ON REACHES BEHIND HIM TO HIS TRASH TO GET A MODERATELY USED PAPER TOWEL AND PUT IT UNDER HER HANDS. The audacity these people have. Hell no. Never again will I come here. These people need to learn some cleanliness and serious case of attitude adjustments. Excuse me for wanting a CLEAN experience. Y'all have been warned and you regular customers need to keep a close eye on what they use, where it came from, because you never know if it came from a cup of alcohol or the previous customer. read more

I chose this based on several reviews I read somewhere else (which were glowing). The salon is pretty clean, but the attitudes of the employees stink. My tech was rude and clearly all she wanted to do was get me out of there. I also hate it when employees do not speak English in front of their customers. It is f******* rude. The mani/pedi was okey. It's been one day and my nails already chipped. The reviews I read have got to be made up. Look elsewhere and get treated better than you would get treated here. read more

It was the worst experience of a pedicure that I've ever had. They acted like they just wanted me out of there and did not take any time or effort to make it worth the money I paid. Went for a manicure and pedicure with my daughter for her 24th birthday. We have been going to this salon for 12 years. I was a long time customer even though I have had some bad experiences ( I figure everyone has off days). We were their 1st customers that morning. When we were finished we paid and left our 20% tip as usual. We were in our car and on our way to our next appointment when my daughter realized she did not have her purse. We went back to the salon (we had been away less than 5 minutes). When my daughter did not come out immediately, I knew there was a problem. No new customers had come in and no current customers had left. My daughter had left her purse on the chair right near the manicurist who did her pedicure and it was gone. We called and canceled her bank card and credit card and neither had been used. So, the thief got away with $100, a camera, some gift cards, a pocket knife, a coach purse and wallet and a h*** of a lot of bad karma. Of course we will never feel comfortable going back to this salon. We did file a police report. read more
