Like many senior services, this one is, also, useless. Not much thinking involved; just paper shuffles and lip service.

Obviously over that time, caregivers have changed, and each new caregiver had to "fit in" with my relative. (Alzheimers, short term memory loss, and stubborn and opinionated, and in complete denial of the illness.) They did it so well. I don't know where we'd be without them. My relative absolutely adores the staff and the owner....recognizing their faces and voices....and has come to call them FRIENDS. If you need non-medical caregiving for a loved one, call this company. I hope they are still around when I need it!

She is an expert in what one might need - something that we really appreciated as this was new space we were navigating. Grace has a well trained team who are compassionate, lovely and gracious. She is impeccably organized, creating a month-long calendar and schedules so that your loved one will have as few disruptions as possible - providing a consistency in which only a few caregivers are chosen for your week or month. This was a stressful time with lots of unknowns (including financially) and all we wanted was to ensure the best care for our loved one. Grace will make it as straight forward as possible and provide care givers that you and your loved one will love. We are beyond grateful we found Grace and team and highly recommend to all of our family and friends. You will be thrilled you called her!

Both my parents had the benefit of her team (mom was paralyzed and bedridden, and dad has dementia) and each set of caregivers were experienced for the different levels of care that was needed. Also, I appreciated the open and honest dialogue that I had with Grace (she is very understanding and never defensive). Grace's back office was great as well. Invoices were timely and accurate. Although our family is moving out-of-state, I hope to find another care agency with as wonderful a team as the one here with Advanced In-Home Care.

My father had a wonderfully kind and conscientious caregiver with him during the weekdays, who helped my father with daily activities of living and allowed my mom to feel okay about going out for errands or other commitments, knowing my dad was safe. We are big fans of the Belmont Healthcare Center and we feel blessed to have had their help in caring for our loved one. All departments coordinated to provide a great amount of support for my Grandmother. We are truly thankful to the nurses for staying on top of things with medications, frequent and thorough diaper changing, consistent feeding times for meals, maintaining my Grandmother's warmth and hydration levels, celebrating her birthday with balloons and a special sign, and giving her a wonderful quality of life during her stay. The wound care specialist did very well to help her with the stitches and healing process for a wound my Grandmother sustained before arriving at the facility. The activities department provided an environment where my Grandmother could follow the news, be in a social environment, and participate in all types of enriching games, exercises, and entertainment opportunities. The office staff took great care of us a family, giving us tremendous support and guidance during our challenging times, expertly filing all necessary paperwork for insurance purposes, which was a huge relief for us. The physical therapy department worked hard to help my grandmother regain her function as much as was physically possible, taking her for walks and keeping her moving with targeted exercises, and they kept us updated on her progress with detailed feedback. The cleaning staff were very friendly and they did a fantastic job keeping the rooms and common areas looking sparkly clean. The medical staff were very knowledgeable and helped us understand my Grandmother's condition while making sure she received the proper treatment. The kitchen staff worked hard to provide quality meals that met the special dietary needs of my Grandmother. The front desk staff workers were always welcoming and helpful when we arrived to visit. When I reflect on how all these workers I mentioned above worked together to make Belmont Healthcare Center work, my heart is filled with gratitude and my mind is at ease knowing that my Grandmother was very well taken care in a clean, caring, uplifting place.

We had an outstanding experience with Family Matters, and I wanted to share this review because…read morethis is what exemplary care should look like. My 75-year-old mother underwent necessary brain surgery three weeks ago. Three days before surgery, she had a ground-level fall, tore her rotator cuff, and sustained a small fracture. Because the surgery could not be deferred, she proceeded as planned but required significant care at home afterward. She had been fully independent, and although she lives with my father, the caregiving needs were beyond his comfort level. I was able to help for a few days after her discharge, but it was clear they would need additional support for her to remain safely at home. The hospital nurses were wonderful, but my mom needed assistance even with basic tasks like repositioning in bed and using the restroom, as her left arm was immobilized. Our hospital care coordinator connected us with Amy, the client care manager for Family Matters, who met us at home right away. She performed a thorough evaluation and took the time to understand my parents' needs and preferences. Almost immediately, we were connected with KJ, the Director of Operations, who coordinated the caregiving schedule. She ensured an excellent match with caregivers and that coverage was consistent and reliable. Communication was seamless--KJ was always responsive and proactive with updates, and we never felt out of touch. My mom especially wanted to recognize her primary daytime caregiver, Maria. Maria was attentive, warm, and incredibly experienced, with over 20 years in caregiving. She is also an excellent cook and was especially skilled in helping my mom with more vulnerable tasks like showering. The other caregivers who supported nights and weekends were also wonderful. The team clearly put thought and care into matching personalities and backgrounds, which made a meaningful difference. Over the following weeks, my mom gradually regained her independence, and we were able to scale back care smoothly. The team made adjustments easy and seamless. We would absolutely use Family Matters again. This was our first experience with a caregiving service, and we were initially apprehensive, but they made the entire process easy, supportive, and reassuring. We would use them again in a heartbeat.

Even more challenging is finding caregivers you can truly trust during such a vulnerable stage of life. A very special thank you to Family Matters, and my father's caregiver, Sade. He is under hospice care with advanced dementia, and can barely speak. Sade is consistently patient, and kind, and gives me complete peace of mind whenever she's caring for him. Most importantly, she engages with him and makes him feel seen. This is in sharp contrast to other caregivers we've experienced who are often on their phones and treat him as if he's invisible. I'm also especially grateful for KJ who manages the caregivers and scheduling. While other agencies haven't taken the time to meet my father or me in person, KJ made it a priority to get hands-on training to fully understand my father's caregiving needs. Because of this, she's been able to step in to provide training and support which is a huge godsend given my limited bandwidth. She even proactively revised the caregiving shift note template to make it clearer and more helpful for our caregiving team. Family Matters has truly exceeded our expectations because they understand the real meaning of caregiving. On top of that, their participation in the Veterans Assistance Program, which requires stricter qualifications provides an added layer of confidence and experience.
