This was a great gift. There was a slight hitch in receiving the gift email notification, but after contacting customer service, it was quickly addressed and the notice arrived shortly after. After making my order, it arrived a couple days later. I was thrilled to unpack and find that all you have to do is thaw and heat as my mobility was limited due to recent hip surgery. I received mine disguised as a business thank you,thank you. I saw the delivery guy come up the walk with a big box. I didn't bother to retrieve it for an hour. When I did ,I realized what it was. Opening it,there were ice packs,however,the containers weren't secure and jostled around during shipping. Oh,the shipping. It cost as much as the overpriced food. The total for this " gourmet meal of meat lasagna, squash , Caesar salad,dinner rolls and cheesecake squares was almost $200. Now,I scoured the Yelp reviews looking for clues as to why so many loved instead of flowers. After placing an order for $143 to be delivered the next day to a family whose loved one just passed away, I received my order confirmation. Since then, nothing else. No updates on if or when it was delivered. The family stated it was not delivered. Website does not appear to offer any way to check on status. Options for support are email or call them M-F. Email support says response in 24 hours. I'm at 36 hours or so and still waiting. I shouldn't have to call the family to see if they got the meal I sent. read more

The driver called and let me know his eta, which was wonderful, since I am temporarily in a wheelchair, and had my sister stay longer to bring the food inside. I liked the selection of vegetables offered. My only complaint is I also got this gift 2 years ago and I liked the entree selections better then. Customer Service threw sender under the bus. Miss delivered package. Had to chase all over the complex. Had been released by UPS (address unoccupied) 24 hours later tracked to Complex office. Complex Office refrigerates contents. When I show up next day (sender having called me) the box is opened, freezer bags thawed, items repacked by Office Manager. I am not happy not knowing the handling condition of this perishible food. I.pop it in the freezer. There was no packing slip or food instructions except what's on each container. Customer Service digs heels in and stands behind the SENDER'S ERRORS. I am not eating. Should have been returned to IOF. But to blame the SENDER.
