Worst place ever for assisted living. They have a lot of amenities but no care for the elderly.

I'm appalled at the refusal of care. My NP was denied access to see me because I wanted to transfer! Shameful!!

Having said that, both of my now-deceased parents lived at Village Park for years. I don't know the exact figure, but they spent literally hundreds of thousands of dollars on the place (which, remember, builds no equity; it's 100% rent out-the-door). For the Four Seasons Hotel level of price they are charging, one would expect astonishing customer service, but that simply isn't the case. The accounting statements/invoices were very often wrong (and, big surprise, always in the favor of the company, not the tenants). Customer services with respect to follow-through and keeping pledges is quite poor, and the level of insouciance overall is off-the-charts. I didn't want to slam the place when my parents were alive, but now that they're gone, I wanted to make it known to others you should expect to pay Ritz-Carlton prices for Motel 6 service.

My parents were one of the first to move to Village Park when it opened seven years ago (and were…read moreeven featured in the promotional video). At first, it was a well-run facility, but in the past three years, things have gone off the rails. The business office is a hot mess - I've had to check every monthly invoice carefully and, unfortunately, found many errors over the past three years (always in their favor). Once I pointed out these "mistakes," it would take multiple emails and phone calls to correct them. It's a shame that such a beautiful facility can't run well. Staff turnover is rampant, the food quality has declined, and I don't trust the general manager at all to ensure monthly invoices are correct. If we were to do it all over again, my parents (who both passed away in late 2023) would not go to Village Park. For more details be sure to read my brother Tim's review on Village Park as well.

There is everything to love about Regency Personal Care Home! My mom lived at a larger assisted…read moreliving facility for 2 years in an early memory care neighborhood but began to need added security at night (bed rails/ cameras) due to being a fall risk and better staff: resident ratio for oversight during the day due to her impaired mobility. Zoe, the owner, is incredibly responsive, very in tune with the residents, and communicative with us about anything potentially going on with my mom before I even get there to notice which has been just a huge relief to know someone is actually paying attention to the signs of a UTI or anything else that may be going on. She even takes those that are able out occasionally for salon days! The home is only 5 bedrooms with 2 staff during the day and 1 at night so the resident: staff ratio is better than anywhere I've found and certainly better than any assisted living you will find! For someone with dementia, less is more and by less I just mean - less people, less commotion, less vast spaces than assisted living, but much much better care all in a true home environment. With only 4 caretakers, my mom very quickly became familiar with and felt comfortable and safe around them vs constant rotations at assisted living. She is able to sleep in, bed rails can be provided as needed, security cameras with audible alarms to staff during the night, and just less space to worry about oversight or being out of sight to where someone like my mom is less likely to fall. The home had comfy recliners in bedrooms and living rooms so residents can lounge comfortably which is a luxury over assisted living! Lori, the other owner, is a registered nurse and has been really helpful in streamlining medication management and dietary needs for my mom. I'm sure I'm missing a million good things about Regency but it has truly been a very positive experience to see my mom so well rested, so happy, and putting on a little weight - she looks better than she has in a very long time and I know it's due to the level of care and oversight she receives from everyone at Regency. Shout out to the amazing staff - Shereka, Candy, Diki, And Tefanie! It's like a little family there. I highly recommend if you are considering alternative options for your loved one to check this out especially for dementia care vs a memory care unit at assisted living both due to the level of care and the level of comfort and quality of life for your loved one.

This facility is impeccably clean well maintained. Zoe and her staff were truly unbelievable in the loving care that they gave my wife until her final days. I know my wife loved this home since she expressed this numerous times. and her love for Terri and Donna. Although the entire staff is excellent, I need to especially recognize Terri and Donna who are now are a part of our extended family. During her time there, my family and I were always welcomed with open arms and we all felt like family. For anyone that is in the unfortunate position of placing a loved one into a personal care home, look no further, this is the place! Tony Amorose

We probably went on over 20 tours around the Alpharetta/Johns Creek/Roswell area. It's an incredibly overwhelming process, especially when the move has to happen fast and from out of state. There were a lot of places out there that were nice, but none that were as welcoming as Vitality. They ensured that I, as the daughter dealing with all this, was ok first, and then they helped walk me through each step. Every single person that works here really loves what they do and wants to be there. That is rare to find, especially in elder care! They are all incredibly communicative, proactive, caring, and genuinely good people. The building is open, bright, and spacious! The rooms are big and bright (also hard to find!). The food is excellent, there are lots of options, and they will even assist you with dietary adjustments. There are a lot of activities, and they highly encourage residents to get involved. My dad is already leading 3 or 4 different spiritual study groups. He really loves it here, and I can rest easy knowing he is being well taken care of. I'm so grateful we found this place!

The facility is just like someone's home, a very clean home. Meals are home-cooked. The staff know each resident, and they are always, ALWAYS patient and kind. There are activities. Staff manage medications impeccably. The health, safety, and comfort of the residents is at top of mind of every staff member. It's impossible for me to sing their praises high enough. Helen the owner has gone out of her way to work with the in's and outs of this terrible disease. I can't recommend this place enough. Mayfield Oaks has been a life saver for our family. After a long period trying to find the best option for our mom and having to move in and out of various properties, we realized she just could not adapt well to the larger communities. The resort-like atmosphere of those places was very appealing to us, as younger adults, but once you got past the flashiness, it was always missing was the love and care you get when living in a smaller place. The attention our mom receives now is better than even we could give her in our own home. She fell in love with Mayfield because it reminded her of her own house and she feels like she is living with family - and the staff has truly become our extended family. It's been the single greatest choice we have ever made.
