My daughter has participated in two activities with IAA. First, she took part in a summer art camp for preschoolers (my daugher was 3). The camp took place for an hour a day for five days, and each day she was thrilled to go. At the end of the camp, IAA held a mini-art-viewing for the parents. My daughter excitedly showed me all of her artwork, which was up on the wall or displayed on tables. Fun! Second, my daughter has taken three semesters in the Prancing Princesses (Pre-K) dance class. She absolutely loves her class, and more than anything, loves her teacher, Miss Sarah. My favorite part about IAA is that they do not insist your child take place in expensive recitals. At the end of each semester, IAA held a little show for the parents, where we got to see what the girls learned. There have been opportunities to have the children take place in larger events, but we didn't have to do it if we didn't want to/couldn't afford it. I have had my daughter involved in Inspired Arts' art, singing and acting classes over the past couple of years. My daughter LOVES this place and so do I. I have never met an owner so dedicated to bringing her love of learning and the arts to both boys and girls. She offers a huge variety of classes that include legos, videography, theatre, dance, gymanstics, photography, graphic and visual arts. The only problem I could ever see at Inspired Arts Academy would be what class (or classes) to pick! As for Janet L, I'm sorry to hear you did not enjoy your experience. All the departments do often work together to assist in making their part of an upcoming show or production. My daughter loves participating in this way and is so proud to see her artwork displayed in a show even if she isn't acting or singing in it. I'm sure Sarah and the staff at Inspired Arts would have been more than willing to make things right if they were aware of your concerns or dissatisfaction. read more

My daughter (to be 3 in March) has been enjoying dance classes (combined ballet, jazz and tap) at IAA for several months now. She looks forward to class each week. We are amazed how quickly she's learning, especially at such a young age. Miss Sarah is fun and loving with the children and definitely knowledgable. IAA is a great organization. They are involved in the community, Easter Seals and occasionally offer fun evening adventures for the kids too. We are also happy about the partnership between IAA and Julie K's music together too! Our daughter is enrolled in that class now as well at IAA. We couldn't be more happy to involved with IAA and are thrilled to have such a wonderful local arts academy. My seven year old daughter takes a dance class on Monday nights at Inspired Arts Academy. She loves to dance and loves that she gets to express herself through many different dances. They have performed at the Morton Pumpkin Festival, in the Julie K Noon Years Eve event at Five Points and soon at a Morton High School basketball game. Also, the Academy has a monthly party for kids with different themes and my daughter has attended everyone and loves the parties. My wife and I can't say enough about the Academy and what it has taught our daughter. We have taken our daughter to different places for dance and it is the same routine, week after week after week. At the Academy they learn a routine, perform at an event and move on to a different style of dance and routine. Our daughter loves the different styles and the fact that the routine changes throughout the year. read more

My 7 year old son is currently enrolled in his 4th session of the "Mixed Media" art class. I have been impressed with the art program at Inspired Arts Academy. For one thing, it really fills a void in my son's education, since art instruction is not currently part of his school curriculum. We would continue our involvement with Inspired Arts for that reason alone, as the curriculum and instruction provided is spot on for children of his age group. My son truly looks forward to his Thursday evening class every week! He loves his instructors and is always excited to show me his latest artwork. His is learning age appropriate material regarding various art techniques. Yes, the program is a bit pricey, but I am thrilled to have something like this locally. I have 3 year old twin girls and in the last year they have been enrolled in both the Little Ballerinas and Little Artists classes at Inspired Arts Academy. Miss Sarah teaches both of these classes and she does a phenomenal job with the little ones. Her patience and grace are abundant and you can just tell how much she truly loves working with children. You would be surprised how much she can get these littlest kids (from ages of 18 months to 3 years old) to do. They have learned so much about ballet, jazz, and tap in dance class. And they've had exposure to many artists, textures, and techniques in art. I am grateful that we have such a wonderful academy locally where our kids can get this type of enrichment. I would most definitely recommend IAA to anyone looking for a way to get their kids interested in the arts! read more

My daughter is 3 and in her 3rd session of dance (combined ballet, jazz, and tap) at IAA. She really enjoys her class and loves Ms. Sarah. She is always asking when she goes back to dance class. Ms. Sarah is so patient and very good with the kids. She makes the class fun and relaxed. What I like the most is that IAA does not do the standard dance recitals, but the kids still have the opportunity to perform at local events to show off what they learned. The other great thing about IAA is the variety of programs in one location. If my daughter becomes 'bored' with dance, then we can try art, theater, etc. Plus, as she gets older, we may enroll her in some of the other classes offered and it's nice to know it's all in one spot. My son is 5 years old and very hyperactive. I signed him up for many classes over the summer and every teacher was extremely patient with him. Ms Sarah worked with my son and I to find the class that best suited his needs. It turned out to be art. My son now enjoys art at home and LOVES to go to art class once a week. He gets to socialize with children his age. Over the summer a few of his art pieces were so amazing I couldn't believe my son actually did it. I highly recommend the IAA. Keep in mind that the teachers change many times and I do believe my son has had great experiences with some teachers and while with other teachers he had good experiences. Either way I think it is a great extra curricular activity for children to be a part of. read more

We have taken multiple classes at Inspired Arts Academy, and it has been an AMAZING experience for our kids. One of our daughters has taken dance for several months, and Miss Sarah truly makes it a magical experience for her. Our daughter is not quite four, but she is continually pulling out ballet terms and wowing me with her knowledge! Our son (7) is taking musical theater, and his face lights up when he realizes it is a "theater day." I can't say enough about how wonderful our experience has been. IAA is truly a place where kids are valued and seen as gifts; and the programs reflect IAA's desire to build both the esteem and the skills of the kids who attend. I have two of my daughters enrolled at Inspired Arts Academy for Dance classes and have nothing but nice things to say. Sarah is an amazing teacher with a passion for children. She works very hard to build their self-confidence and as a result my children love to go to dance and work very hard on their routines. I enjoy that they learn a dance, perform it at a community event, and then move on to learn more and more. It keeps the children engaged and teaches them about giving back to their communities. Our kids have also enjoyed the monthly drop off nights and can't wait to go back again. I would highly recommend Inspired Arts Academy! read more

My 4 and 6 year old girls have been enrolled in the dance program for almost a year and have truly blossomed in this program. My once shy 6 year old is performing without hesitation in front of crowds-and loving it! Both of my girls always look forward to Monday night dance class and then can't wait to show off their new moves at home. I thought it might be too difficult for a four year old but the way the dance was taught through lyrical expression she picked it right up and has been making up dances on her own! My daughter (8 yrs) absolutely LOVES her dance class at IAA! It is literally the highlight of her week. She spends the rest of the week dancing around the house practicing her new "moves". I am really impressed with how the instructors take time with all the girls to make sure they understand the steps. Class prices are in line and you get an incredible value for your money. Our two children attend the after school program, 4 days a week. What a great thing they have going and it makes life so much easier for working parents. The kids love the variety that they offer each day from painting, dancing, music, gymnastics, etc. I enjoy hearing about what all they did each day and it is nice to hear the excitement in their voices as they talk about it.
