The clear bag policy is annoying but fairly standard anymore. The inability to bring in food is also quite annoying but standard. If they are going to have that policy, they should have more concession stands so that lines are tolerable, and the concession prices are a bit brutal. But...Go Redbirds!

I started at the Mike Myers welcome center (as all tours do) and made my way through campus. I hit all the IWU hot spots including but not limited to Magill Hall and the Beadles-morse Tennis Courts. It was so fun to reminisce about the good old days. Remember when the ice cream machine at SAGA would malfunction? Remember New york Deli day? Remember that party at one of the off campus houses? Remember that Kappa Kappa Gamma girl who kept turning you down and wouldn't even give you the time of day and always acted like she was too cool for you but now you see on facebook shes not looking quite like she used to (put on some lbs) and her career is going nowhere and you now feel like you won in the end and were better off? Remember munch money? Lol me too. It was so fun to revisit the glory days and i honestly don't think I would have had a better college experience anywhere else. Except maybe U of I, or any Big Ten school, or arizona state, or maybe Texas, possibly an east coast school too, or even a west coast one, i mean definitely Pepperdine you ever see that place?, actually there are some simlilar D3 schools too that wouldve been pretty cool. We came to Illinois Wesleyan for Special Olympics swimming state yesterday. The pool at ISU is…read morebeing remodeled, hence the change in location this year. I have to say that this was a wayyyy better location than ISU. The bleachers at ISU are so awkward and you're always crawling over and tripping over people. The Shirk center observing area is upstairs and goes around the pool. There was lots of room to stand and a few areas to sit down. It did get extremely congested and people refused to move, but still way better than the alternative. There was also a concession stand, vending machines and an ATM. The only downside was that it was extremely hot inside and I felt like I was getting heatstroke (even despite the fact that I prepared myself for the heat by wearing a tank top and skirt - I was still overly hot.) Sitting next to people that are also sweating isn't exactly an ideal situation, but I gladly endured the stench of sweat to see my sister swim.

Visited on a Saturday for a friend's wedding and was not disappointed by this unique and personal…read morevenue. The couple attends concerts at the theater often so it was lovely to know having their wedding there meant so much. My partner and I watched the wedding from the balcony where the view was spectacular and were easily able to move around the upper level and main level when we wanted to mix and mingle during the reception. If I could watch every wedding from that vantage point, I would; so cool! The venue allowed outside catering, so we had the couple's favorite local barbecue. The serving line moved fast and I was glad for the space allowed to line up all 150+ of us. The stage was used for a dance floor later in the night. Though small, it was a fun experience. The stage is a bit difficult to navigate around as there is only one set of narrow steps in the front. The lights also contribute to making the dance floor a bit warm.

I love going to blockbusters and nothing is worse than waiting in a long line only to discover you and your group have to split up. Now that I have little ones, that's completely unacceptable. Why it didn't get a 5? I don't know what the problem is here. I don't know if folks that come here just aren't used to reserved seats, aren't being told or just don't care. I never had a problem at ovation, but twice now I've had to throw ppl out of my seats! Oh well.
