The thought of taking 3 days off work to attend first aid training was something that I wasn't looking forward to. Even though I needed the qualification for my job I couldn't envisage actually using it accept to treat the odd person for a cut or bruise and so as the date approached I was full of apprehension and an overwhelming desire to be somewhere else, in fact anywhere else that didn't involve 3 days in a classroom.
Got to say though, the training was nothing like I expected, from day 1 we were carrying out scenarios rather than just sitting in front of a powerpoint. I really enjoyed the choking jackets and actually we all got quite good at projecting the little blighter into the distance. The girls all liked the lifegaurds, at this point of course I closed my eyes!
Anyway all said and done it was something that I would recommend, far from dreading the next course of I've already put my down for the annual refresher. big thanks to Cathy the trainer and to Mark who played the patient so well, Ive never seen anyone be so happy to look ill for three days LOL
