We've only been there once so far, but I don't think it will be the last time. Dance 4 Wellness, a ballroom dance business helmed by Maria Durant, has begun offering classes at this venue. We've missed dancing very much, not only due to COVID-19, but also due to some health challenges Dear Hubby and I have navigated the past few years. When the opportunity came to step back in to dancing, we decided to give it a try. The venue of the Dance Center works well for us. It's conveniently located off the 23 freeway, with plenty of free parking. Once inside, it's a large space, ideal for spreading out while dancing. Casual seating is available on two walls for taking a break, having water, or changing shoes. We wore our masks, and found hand sanitizer available. The facility is very clean. The acoustics worked well for dance music when it came time for that part of the rumba class we attended. The floor seemed easy on my feet, even though that's a newer area of aforementioned health challenges to manage. Glad to have this option for dancing venue so accessible to the eastern area of Ventura County.

They did a remodel in the end of last year and got new equipment, but now machines are sitting broken for months without repair. This is ridiculous. Additionally, the gym is rarely clean. There is trash and wipes left on the ground all over the place. The cable handles are never placed back on the racks and employees just sit at the front desk doing nothing. Don't go here. It's the worst gym in Simi valley

Our kids started going to AMAA since they were 5 yrs. old . Now they are 9 and 12. We used their…read morelearning center which was extremely convenient as kids were picked up from the school directly. They received small snacks and got help with their homework. Later in the day they practiced taekwondo before getting picked up around 6 or 6:30 PM. We love this place and Master Kwak cares about the kids. Both my boys enjoy doing sparring and have participated in many local and national level competitions with a very high success rate. We have also seen increased self confidence in our boys. If you are looking for a safe place for your kids to be picked up from school and participate in TKD recreationally or if you want to take the sport seriously. AMAA is the your spot. Staff and instructors are attentive and friendly. And will be a good role model for your kids. Bottom line: safe, discipline, activity, school pick up/homework, caring staff and instructors under one roof
