Having been in the HR profession as long as I have and with the caliber organizations for which…read moreI've been blessed to lead the function for, I've had the opportunity to work with many of the "big name" brokers to assist with benefits needs. Some were selected by myself or in partnership with the CEO/CFO, some as part of a formal RFP process, but at the end of the day I would say that all the big players do things largely the same. They may dress up their data analytics a bit differently than the next guy, or another might have a slightly more robust management toolbelt around a specific focus such as plan modeling, managing their own captive groups for one or more lines of business, or an approach to pharmacy benefits than others dominating the marketspace... but at the end of the day, there is often precious little which truly separates them. (Aside from their Marketing spend, that is!) With The Miller Group, their approach is elegant in its simplicity. Having known Jayson Cuba for a number of years, and now with the opportunity to also partner with Dan Harrison, Erin Tucker, Tracy Johnson, and Shelby Hoffman for the past few years, I describe their differentiator to other HR leaders and executives as having every bit of the product/market knowledge, all of the data analytics, all of the contemporary thinking around employee benefits & risk management, and all of the customer service of the big name brokers and more... and it is in this "and more" section where they truly separate from the pack and pull away to command the race. As a family-owned business, their rock-solid principles (grounded in faith) are evident in all the entire team at The Miller Group does. There are no empty promises of premium savings only for the sake of gaining a sale, calls and emails are returned promptly, and each and every interaction is polite, personable, and professional. There are no call trees, no endless transfers, no endless times waiting on hold, and no pointing fingers at carriers or TPAs when challenges arise. Regardless of the day or time, no matter if the issue is major or minor, we are always made to feel as though a call from SkillPath to a member of The Miller Group team is THE most important item in front of them. (I won't name names... but NONE of the names topping those lists that pop up when one does an internet search of largest benefits brokers EVER could day-in-and-day-out deliver THAT level of service!) When you read their tag line that Miller Cares... they really do! The Miller Group cares about the health & wellbeing of my employees and their covered dependents, The Miller Group cares about simplifying benefits design, deployment & administration for me and my team in HR, and The Miller Group genuinely cares about the success of our company.

I have referred The MILLER GROUP to others and they have been extremely pleased. One described Jamie as a breath of fresh air compared to others he had talked with regarding his property. Previous service here has been great. However, when my insurance rates were raised to a…read moreridiculously high number, with zero claims, getting a better quote became problematic. I kept hearing excuses why the quotes were so high and when I did finally get a quote I was happy with, it magically raised by $500 once I decided to move forward with it. Again, when I asked why the quote was not accurate, I was given more excuses. Meanwhile, I got 3 new quotes, all of which were significantly less, offered higher coverage and were 100% accurate, meaning that the brokers or insurance agency promised the pricing wouldn't be raised once I agreed to the new policy. Insurance is tough already. A broker can help you wade through the mess. Once that broker becomes part of the problem, I suggest finding a new one. I shouldn't have to spend hours finding new policies because of the limited options and communication of the person who merely exists as a middleman between the customer and the insurer.

I want to specifically call out Melissa. Today I called with an updated list of guns that I wanted to cover on my homeowners policy. I also had several questions regarding the policy I needed answers to before I submitted my new listing. As always, Melissa had the answers immediately. I know it was not a fun task to have to go through the list I submitted and convert it into the format required for the policy but she never once hesitated or sounded reluctant to submit the change for me. Within the hour, I had received the updated change to my policy. The same level of service and expertise was provided when I added another vehicle in November. There are a million places I can go and get insurance. However I firmly believe there are very few if any that provide the level of service your agency provides. I have dealt with many in the past and rarely remained a customer for more than a few years. I am very price conscious and the ability of your agency to provide a competitive product with such outstanding customer service is what keeps me a customer. Additionally, the integrity of everyone I have dealt with in your agency is second to none. Thank you for all of the service you have provided to me over the past 10 or so years. Ken
