I spent the day with Brian yesterday and I can confidently say that he is one of the best doing it today and an absolute credit to home inspectors on the whole. I'm probably not the typical home inspection client - I'm comfortable doing the vast majority of work in a home (hvac, plumbing, electric, drywall, showers etc), have done major remodels myself and did my own inspection when buying a 1920 condo in NYC (5 years later, didn't miss anything) because the last time I worked with an inspector I was unimpressed with their findings and found significantly more myself. Brian and his staff are very professional and swift. He also has a very clear to understand web portal for agreement signatures, payment, confirmation etc. He gave us such a wealth of information during our inspection that I was even more happy that we had him. He has a red/orange/yellow designation of things they found in the potential house to indicate the danger or risk level. Thankfully our future property didn't have any red level things. Since he has fire Marshall experience in a nearby town he gave us insights on what we should plan on fixing down the road and what possible problems might arise for innocuously seeming things. Example, the basement had with a full size door on the side of the house that didn't have great drainage or an awning to keep snow from building up during storms. That's something that isn't currently making glaring damage but over time it could rot the door frame or in a big storm have a flood potential. The digital reporting he compiled was clear to understand with pictures and video. Highly recommend him! read more
