These cookies were okay. I was expecting better given the price. They're very simple and light, which is a good option if you're tired of extravagant cookies like Crumble. However, you'd be better off buying premade cookie dough. This was NOT worth $33 If you're interested in more of my reviews my instagram is @miamifoodreviews_

Gluten free for the win

Delicious!!! Andddd, this was the only place open after a long, fun night for my husband's Christmas party at his job. Everything was amazing! I'm torn between Night Owl and Insomnia Cookies! However, Insomnia Cookies has brownies and Ice cream! Whatttt, they are definitely ahead with the options. They have gluten-free options for my baby boy! Ok, they won! Night Owl, do you?!

Left - classic cookies, Right- deluxe cookies

So I and my fam love cookies and all things sweet. Happened to see this place advertised on IG and decided to give them a try. I will start by saying, I look for three things in a food experience- flavor, value, and experience. If you can nail all three, well that's a winner there! Unfortunately, Insomnia only nailed one- flavor. The cookies were soft and warm and tasted really good. Yum!! But as for value- I was left feeling like I overpaid for what I received. The classic cookies are quite small both in thickness and circumference- I think the price of $2.25 was too much for it, and as for the deluxe cookies - they didn't feel very deluxe. They weren't much larger in diameter and just a bit thicker. Priced at $3.75 per cookie, it felt exorbitant, especially compared to what you can get at other cookie spots like Night Owl for less. On to experience, and it also failed to stand out. The cookies just looked very average. Like something I could bake at home. Also, there is no seating inside the location. Just a walk in space. Insomnia offers ice cream sandwiches which looked delicious online and I'd love to try, but I'm confused as to how I am supposed to get them home before melting if I can't eat them there at the place? There was also no real or convenient parking options here. A couple of street spots if you are lucky. Just failed to wow me. So yeah. 3 stars for the flavor, but that's all. The cookie market is highly saturated right now, so competition is fierce. I think Insomnia will need to step their game up if they want to stand out.

I didn't take a bite it came like that.

With all the cookie delivery options now in Miami I decided to try a different one and went with insomnia cookies. I ordered a 6 pack box because I couldn't decide on which flavor to pick. The more standard flavors were good but not amazing I would say they were pretty close to making break and bake cookies. One of my cookies was even missing a piece. Must have broken off when taking it off of the tray. I decided to try a banana split flavor because it sounded different but it was awful, it tasted like banana laffy taffy. With all the trouble it was to get these and because I wasn't really impressed with it for the price. I think I'll just stick to making cookies myself or going to one of the many other cookie places in Miami.

Cookie heaven!!

I have been going to Night owls for fresh cookies for sometime but recently my brother recommended me Insomnia cookies which recently opened a location at South Miami. This past Saturday we ordered a dozen ten chocolate chunk cookies and two mint chocolate. Let say they below my expectations, the cookies were hand held size, chewy and soft. For me the winning point over Night Owl is that these feel more like a simple cookie and not over the top. This will now be my new dessert dig to satisfy the sugar craving!!

Finally they are here! Insomnia opened in the area last week! After hunting them throughout the Northeast and the DMV Insomnia cookies is here in the Gables/South Miami area. The cookies are all the hype and served warm. I ordered one, but how could I only stop at one. Just like Insomnia locations this has the combo with milk! The store is located near UM 's main campus; of course the staff is awesome and supper friendly. And of course, they deliver!

Dozen cookies

Insomnia cookies bring a lot of nostalgia for me since there was a location very close to where I used to live back in college and I would go there often for cookies. I ordered a dozen cookies of different variety through delivery and they arrived extremely fast. However the cookies I ordered at this location didn't have quite the same taste. It wasn't as sweet or as gooey. I will also add that there wasn't quite a lot of variety to choose from and the flavors aren't as unique compared to other cookie places. This is compared to night owl cookies where there are a huge variety of cookies with very unique tastes and flavors and are twice as big for the same amount of price. I would give the cookies 3 stars and the quick fast service 5 stars.

Ice cream

The cookies are usually super fresh as they keep them in warm ovens behind the counter before purchase. So soft and delicious I was shocked how amazing they were. My favorite are the chocolate chip as the chocolate used are large pieces and it literally melts in your mouth with every bite. Super clean spot and nice service. Definitely my favorite munchie spot, I spot by whenever I'm in the area. Have to try the ice cream next time

Open late, so if you realize you need a sugar fix this is a great place to go. Cookies are best warm and fresh but still worth the eating.

Stretchy Ice Cream and Sand Coffee Truly a hidden gem…read more Damas Booza is a must try The best Ashta ice cream I've had in Miami!! In fact, I don't think I've seen anything like it yet. It is a unique concept with unique flavors that I am very glad I finally got to try. If you don't know, Ashta is an Arabic icecream flavor that is usually topped with (optional) pistachios and Turkish cotton candy (called Ghaz Al Banat) This ice cream is often referred to as stretchy ice cream, hence the term 'Booza' I've been meaning to try Damas Booza and I'm so glad I finally did. We got there when he was still opening up but Wahid was so welcoming and kind. You can tell he's very passionate about his business. Along with the Ashta ice cream, we had some Turkish Sand coffee and Turkish delight bites and biscuit au chocolat bites. Everything was so authentic. Absolutely delicious! There is a seating area outside that lights up and sets a cute vibe at night. I definitely recommend, especially with summer creeping up

Parking is right behind them so you won't have to struggle to find parking. This is not a common type of ice cream to find in the USA so I'm happy that they opened. Don't have a car? You can easily get here via the metro, just get down at the south miami station. Wahid was excellent, provided the best service. Overall I highly recommend you try them!

Ridiculous, but a chance to see what the food is like out. This place came up on my Yelp with great reviews so worthy start. Nice looking poafe inside and out. Easy to find. Greeted as soon as I entered and seated. Decent amount of occupied tables and a steady stream of to go, which is semi-sectioned off from the dining so you aren't interrupted while you eat. Nice touch. I ordered the honey garlic wings and the pineapple fried rice with chicken, steak and shrimp. Minus the pineapple lol both were very good. Well prepared and good flavor. For a drink I ordered Chinese herbal iced tea. Came in a can which surprised me. A bit sweet and a bit grassy lol but good. For the first spot I went to, this place hit the spot. I would definitely recommend trying them.

The night I spent here, however, was not so sweet... I visited the establishment in hopes of a delicious treat and instead left overcharged with freezer burnt scoops and regret. Poor guy serving the scoops was friendly but clearly didn't know math when ringing customers up or how to properly manage his dairy products. From a taste perspective, that ice cream was horrible (odd because it's usually okay here) but food safety wise? Extremely unsafe. You know what they say about thawing food out and then refreezing it in a public establishment? Don't do it. Why? Risks of salmonella, E. coli, and much worse... a soiled palette! Not to mention lawsuits... Also, the sprinkles were improperly stored, they were out of toppings like chocolate syrup, they had no bottled cokes or waters, and the place had a creepy Elmo figurine dangling from the wall like it was his first and last breath on Earth. Don't even get me started on the ant-ridden benches and seatings. Overall, really poor ice cream quality, overcharged by mistake but there's no way this guy didn't know his scoops were freezer-charred. Do not recommend at all unless you want to develop chronic IBS for the first time. 0/10
