Great cookie spot! I came at 4 pm on a Sunday and easily found street parking right in front. The store was empty, and the person at the register was very nice and showed me the different cookie sizes when I couldn't decide. I ended up choosing a mix of deluxe cookies (slightly larger than the regular): Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup, Triple Chocolate, S'mores, Oatmeal Chocolate Walnut. My favorites were the peanut butter and oatmeal cookies, as they had a ton of flavor and were crisp without being too hard - the others were just okay. If you're a fan of Night Owl style cookies, these may seem a little tame in comparison, but Insomnia has some great classics that are large, well-cooked, and pretty darn tasty! read more

So I and my fam love cookies and all things sweet. Happened to see this place advertised on IG and decided to give them a try. I will start by saying, I look for three things in a food experience- flavor, value, and experience. If you can nail all three, well that's a winner there! Unfortunately, Insomnia only nailed one- flavor. The cookies were soft and warm and tasted really good. Yum!! But as for value- I was left feeling like I overpaid for what I received. The classic cookies are quite small both in thickness and circumference- I think the price of $2.25 was too much for it, and as for the deluxe cookies - they didn't feel very deluxe. They weren't much larger in diameter and just a bit thicker. Priced at $3.75 per cookie, it felt exorbitant, especially compared to what you can get at other cookie spots like Night Owl for less. On to experience, and it also failed to stand out. The cookies just looked very average. Like something I could bake at home. Also, there is no seating inside the location. Just a walk in space. Insomnia offers ice cream sandwiches which looked delicious online and I'd love to try, but I'm confused as to how I am supposed to get them home before melting if I can't eat them there at the place? There was also no real or convenient parking options here. A couple of street spots if you are lucky. Just failed to wow me. So yeah. 3 stars for the flavor, but that's all. The cookie market is highly saturated right now, so competition is fierce. I think Insomnia will need to step their game up if they want to stand out. read more

With all the cookie delivery options now in Miami I decided to try a different one and went with insomnia cookies. I ordered a 6 pack box because I couldn't decide on which flavor to pick. The more standard flavors were good but not amazing I would say they were pretty close to making break and bake cookies. One of my cookies was even missing a piece. Must have broken off when taking it off of the tray. I decided to try a banana split flavor because it sounded different but it was awful, it tasted like banana laffy taffy. With all the trouble it was to get these and because I wasn't really impressed with it for the price. Love that delivery is an option! The oatmeal walnut chocolate chip cookies are to die for!!!! Salted caramel is pretty epic as well! Insomnia cookies bring a lot of nostalgia for me since there was a location very close to where I used to live back in college and I would go there often for cookies. I ordered a dozen cookies of different variety through delivery and they arrived extremely fast. However the cookies I ordered at this location didn't have quite the same taste. It wasn't as sweet or as gooey. I will also add that there wasn't quite a lot of variety to choose from and the flavors aren't as unique compared to other cookie places. This is compared to night owl cookies where there are a huge variety of cookies with very unique tastes and flavors and are twice as big for the same amount of price. I would give the cookies 3 stars and the quick fast service 5 stars. read more

The cookies are usually super fresh as they keep them in warm ovens behind the counter before purchase. So soft and delicious I was shocked how amazing they were. My favorite are the chocolate chip as the chocolate used are large pieces and it literally melts in your mouth with every bite. Super clean spot and nice service. For sureeee my favorite cookies in Miami! Better then night owl, and better then midnight. They always taste so fresh and I love the flavor. They have the menu set up very well where you can get a box that fits your needs and you can mix and match with the deluxe cookies and regular cookies. Try them all! Situated right next to Red Roads common and opposite to the University of Miami campus. It's a cozy little shop. Cookies were fresh and warm. I love the fact that they have gluten free options. They serve big scoops of icecream too. It was kinda difficult to complete it but that's my fault since I asked for two scoops without realizing how much I was getting. Customer service was TERRIBLE. I don't recommend this business. First, we were told that the lobby was closed due to being backed up with online orders. Ok we thought, just wasn't meant to be. As we walked out the door, a minute later, a couple walks in and orders and is able to get served fine. I couldn't believe my eyes, they refused to serve us for whatever reason! One of the employees saw that we had witnessed this injustice and came out trying to justify their action by now saying they have no cookies, even though they initially told us the reason we couldn't order was because the lobby was closed. There's currently a deal going where graduates can spend $5 and get 6 cookies for free. I came once with another friend and that friend ordered a deluxe cookie for $4.74 exactly. That employee let us get that deal while missing 0.26 cents, so I mentioned this to the lady working the front tonight. She said that since I got the deal I couldn't get it again. I clarified that my friend who's graduating ordered. She repeated that it was me, so I just asked for 2 chocolate chip cookies for $5.60 and change so I could get the deal. When I asked for the other cookies, she said again that I couldn't get it and cut me off, saying next customer. I work in customer service too and I would never treat a customer like that. Customer service at the South Miami location was awful. After not delivering cookies, they would not give a refund. The driver did not deliver the cookies and did not leave them as the manager told me they would. When asked the next day, they said it was "too late" to ask for refund or trying again.
